I’ll retell a story of a furry I remember: Back in 2019 during the Australian bushfire outbreak, when I was probably only 13, we had to evacuate our town because of the bush fires that were approaching. So we hastily packed and drove out as soon as possible. After 2-3 hours of driving we arrived at the evacuation site where we would be staying until the fires passed. The shelter was simply an empty warehouse with nothing more than a reception table, recording whether the following evacuees made it or not, plus, there were tones of people there (easily over 200 people). It was clear that many were distressed about the fires going on, and were very exhausted. The kids around me were especially worried, and wouldn’t stop crying. This persisted so much that it brought down the whole atmosphere. But, That was when I saw it, an actual furry. Someone dressed as a ‘kemono’ dragon simply went around the shelter making each kid laugh, smile and most importantly feel like everything was going to be ok, despite quite literally losing their homes to the fires. I can’t tell you how comforting it was to not only get some peace from all the kids cries, but also see kids laughing and playing around with this furry, I also remember actually seeing little kids going up for hugs (I got one too). When the parents had called back their kids for the shelter’s scheduled lights out, the kids couldn’t stop waving goodnight with huge smiles on their faces, some even said ‘night night Mr dragon!’ and ‘see you tomorrow morning!’. This is 100% the reason why you guys will always have my support and why I’ll always respect your community!! So to conclude here’s my green flag: ‘When times seem impossibly difficult, they’ll always find a way to make you smile’ (Also their furry name was ‘cubbles’)

As someone in the furry community, car community and gay community, i can totally say the furry community is by far the most loving and accepting community. Most communities will go out of their way to bring others down and make them feel bad in order to make themselves feel better or higher on the chain. Both the car and queer communities can be extremely toxic and quick to belittle anyone who doesn't perfectly fit in. I love the furry community. ❤
As much as I don't want to go to a furcon, watching this video makes me think that people going would be kind and supportive if I just told them when I'm overstimulated, considering I worked up the courage to go someday. And the fact that furcons have kept his together through thick and thin for this long really proves how effective they are at keeping the community healthy. No money wasted, in my opinion. Though it should be said that VR furcon worlds have been pretty successful as well, and since Resonite has been around for a while, I'd like to see people get together and start holding cons using that program in the future. Point is, this is one of the few communities I am not ashamed to be a part of as an autistic person.
ive been drawing strictly animals my entire life, getting ever closer to the iconic "furry art" even though i didnt even know that was a thing. growing up i had so many people saying my art looked weird or unrealistic and that i drew things too fluffy and ect, it hurt me a lot because i was basically being told that the way i expressed myself was trash all the time. fast forward to i think my second year of high school, a new student transferred in, and i saw she did art like mine so i shoved the awkward feelings away and asked her about it. Turns out she was a furry! because of meeting her i was able to come to terms with my style and no longer cared about what others thought of it because it made me happy. i never would have thought there was a place where i could be accepted for who i am and what i draw out there. the furry fandom is truly a wonderful place and i wouldnt be able to be who i am without it.

Its the first group or fandom I've been brave enough to join, ive felt disconnected my entire life and i love how accepting the fandom is. And i love having my own personal character.
If it was not for the fandom, I'd not be here. The fandom saved my life. I was ready to end it all, I felt like I had nothing left. And then people within the fandom saved me.
I've found many friends and I discovered more of myself ever since I discovered the fandom. Furries truly changed my life, and I'm thankful to be part of the community. ❤
The main thing that got me into the fandom was a series of videos from 2008 or so, where a group of friends were fursuiting in public; the main appeal was their interactions with regular people, and how much joy their silly antics brought. About five years ago I gave a friend advice based on how I was treated by medical staff, and her sister was able to continue her antidepressant treatment because of it ...and I'm still riding the high. If you ever need something pumped into your body for medical reasons, see if you can get it done where they give chemotherapy to the cancer patients. They are SO nice to the cancer patients.
Haven't seen your tweet for some reason. Joining the fandom was the best thing that ever happened in my life. I was so scared before my first meeting with locals and going to a con. Because of bad experiences before I thought that I won't be accepted, or wanted. Nobody cares that I'm older and disabled. Everyone I've met so far is just nice. (Including you at AC 2019.)
I personally love how supportive people are of other’s passions, hobbies, and accomplishments. Even when they’ve never met or even talked to the person.
As someone who still on the edge of the community and trying to figure out if it’s the right place for me, it’s stories like this that continue to bring me closer and closer to just up and deciding to join. I don’t know I’ve always loved Dragonborn and the emerald and green ones have always been my favorites so at least I already got a starting point around there and all the designs and characters just looks so cool! I can’t wait to look further into it and maybe even join eventually!
i just think its awesome how some of them make their own fursuits, like thats a lot of passion and effort and creativity put into being in your community, its admirable
im gonna start getting emotional but, as a kid i loved animals and ocs. it was just smth about being able to create and developed my own worlds that made me super happy. When i had heard furrys were a thing it was not from cringe or from outside it was from here. youtube. i had found a person make a fursuit on my feed and was deeply curious. i remember that night i had stayed up pretty much all night watching this person create these existing characters and bringing them to life. that was the thing that brought me in. Now im 21ys old , i have a husband, have my own life im living and because of that one video i can happily say my creativity tho it has dulled its still there. i still have the firey passion and love for making ocs and making the come to life hence why i wanted to become a fursuit maker and it still is a dream of mine. And for the meantime im using lps customizations as a way to itch that part of my need to make ocs come to life. My love for this community has always been strong even tho i do not actively go to cons (ive never been to a furry con. one day) and me being on the sidelines. this community has kept my fire for animals and everything goofy / art alive. i joined when i was around 10-11 thank you beta for all of your work. i dont watch many furry ytbers since i just dont take part in the community. and your content brings me sm sm joy. so thank you
Although temporary, this fandom brought me closure, support and comfort, at a very shit time in my life, ruined by being a chronically online drama whore, now realised, i just...dont need friends the same way others do, I'd like my future partner, IF i ever find one to share this interest, nothing about it is serious, and you get to embrace the silly and goofy side of yourself, I'd genuinely recommend it to those struggling with irl socialising, very diverse groups of people too, theres someone in there for everyone, just gotta find the right ones lol
Also, TL;DR, don't get involved in politics, people are emotionally charged within the community, and I've never felt it's a place for it either, and given our governments tend to be two very different heads, of ultimately the same snake, just don't, keeping the government and larger society out of your mind is healthy, and is best suited within the fandom, just a fandom tip, and life tip in one, living your life in fear of what others think, it's hell, just be you, that's the important part
And don't make it political, this is advice, not an invitation to a pointless debate, if society had it our way, things we would be way different, far more freedom, a lot less misery, and alot more tight-knit communities, something I think this community is great for, but you have got to make the effort to find others like yourself, but always remain vigilant whilst exploring the internet, that's a must, and is no worse or better in the fandom, from what I've noticed, your at far more risk playing Roblox being a child 😂
I love the furry community because of how accepting, supportive, caring, expressive, and lovely everyone is. Despite everyone pointing out the weird part of the fandom, I really love this community
Being apart of the furry community myself, I have seen so much positive in it. I made some amazing friends, even my BF is one too. We enjoy chatting about our fursonas and I love bringing life to them through art and will be making my BF a pngtuber model of his bat fursona. To me one of the best communities I have been apart of. Sure there are some negative stuff about it, but to me I stick to the more positive and I help people who are sad, by drawing some art for them of furries. Just to see someone’s day be brighter from my art, makes it all the worthwhile. 😊 Also had been watching your videos and for some reason I wasn’t subscribed to you. Just fixed that.
Back in the day when my brother became a furry I asked that he doesn't convert me. We haven't spoken much in the last 3 years. He probably took it for "get out of my sight, you weird mothertrucker". Now I kinda regret asking that of him.
the furry fandom was so important for me and exploring my gender identity. while i still don’t know the specifics of my identity i do know that i am not cis, and i wouldn’t have been able to explore it comfortably without the community.
This video proves how much positivity the furry fandom spreads and if you think about it this is the exact opposite of what the anti-furry community is about. Like fr this guys are a community based on hating and spreading negativity to a positive community
I used to dispise new years but the fandom helped me get a new out look for the Holliday I thank milo aka little alpha pup he made a video that helped I look forward to each new thing I can learn from this fandom I took up art again I hope to learn fusuit making and vr avitars
It's VERY true that the furry comunity has spread to so so many countries. Like, I'm a furry that lives pritty much on the other side of the globe. And so there are so many people that never saw a fursuit before, and it always makes me atleast chuckle just to think about their reactions to a fursuit. Anyway, love your vids and your amazing ❤
Been rping online as a saguaro for over 3 years here, and I’m trying to continue to raise awareness about the cacti extinction crisis. On a sidenote, 12:15 I know ai is controversial in the fandom, but I personally try to avoid causing any controversy with my images, mainly I care about the quality over sheer quantity. Refining over and over again.
Going to VR concerts and seeing the sheer talent people put into their performances and avatars. People volunteering their time to put on these events and seeing it all come together. :)
I've had the same fursona, Fruvous the Moxy Foxy, for thirty years. Roleplaying as him on Tapestries MUCK (and before that on FurryMuck) has let me explore who I really am by letting me create a version of myself free from all the random accidents of birth that get in the way of me expression my true self. It let me explore my sexuality, my flamboyant and silly and cute and fuzzy personality, my deep emotional needs, and my power urge to wag my tail *wagwagwag!*. TO be honest, he's everything I want to be. Extroverted, bold, warm, affectionate, open-hearted, snuggly, and sexy as hell. My mental health goal is to one day be like him in the real world. I would not be half the person I am now if I couldn't also be him.
Personally I'm very comfortable with the furries if they weren't because of the art and self expression compared to other communities in the past. I always talk on any Discord or Telegram group and they always support me, although I want to talk in person for hours some day outside the local furmeets. And I returned to draw because of the furry fandom!
a few green flags: 99% of the fandom are so fucking nice it radiates very creative, colourful and joyful people the fandoms very open minded to everyone, all walks of life
i love the furry community and your always constantly learning things such as today i just learned about ableism because it was mentioned in this video and I'm aware and this isn't the first time and the furry community is just very kind I've been helped bye complete strangers online for the smallest things but it warms me to know that the community is so welcoming
12:12 This can go the other way as well an artist defenses furrys from probably someone in their class and gives examples of other things that are creative works.
i'm about 2b that person u find in a mainstream comment section. 2 the viewers reading this, i wish upon u that by interacting with the furry community, u find u find ur truest self & u experience genuine love & support.
Im gonna reassure this once again. If the space has 3 dimensions, that means it is expanding infinitely, therefore, if it is expanding infinitely, everything is possible, even furries on one of those planets. The only thing that is in the way is time.

Furry helped me make friends and makes me feel good about my art. for my 1st artfight attack the recipient said it was great even though i thought iit could be better
Beta, are your eyes okay? They look like they have a green circle around them. Thanks for the video. I'm glad I can have people that I can be with that understand furry and not think I'm a zoo.
That might depend on how deep you want your social experience to be. Sharing furry art? Lots of folks use FurAffinity, but many share their art on Twitter. Talking to folks? Discord, Telegram, Twitter are popular. In my particular case, it's important to be to speak with local furries, so I use Discord and Telegram to talk to local/regional furries. And the gay furry hackers saved us from project 2025
If it weren’t for furries, I genuinely may not be here.
Furry helped me find my partner and helped me through rough times in my life. I will never give it up.
If it was not for the fandom, I'd not be here. The fandom saved my life. I was ready to end it all, I felt like I had nothing left. And then people within the fandom saved me.
Reading that thumbnail was like a flashbang to me for some reason. 10/10
The furry community literally taught me how to draw.
im gonna start getting emotional but, as a kid i loved animals and ocs. it was just smth about being able to create and developed my own worlds that made me super happy.
Also had been watching your videos and for some reason I wasn’t subscribed to you.
I am a therain but the furry community accepted me and I even have my own persona
I would not be half the person I am now if I couldn't also be him.
one thing that caught the attention of my silly brain is that shirt you are wearing because it looks adorable
Personally I'm very comfortable with the furries if they weren't because of the art and self expression compared to other communities in the past.
I always talk on any Discord or Telegram group and they always support me, although I want to talk in person for hours some day outside the local furmeets.
And I returned to draw because of the furry fandom!
a few green flags:
99% of the fandom are so fucking nice
it radiates very creative, colourful and joyful people
the fandoms very open minded to everyone, all walks of life
i love the furry community and your always constantly learning things such as today i just learned about ableism because it was mentioned in this video and I'm aware and this isn't the first time and the furry community is just very kind I've been helped bye complete strangers online for the smallest things but it warms me to know that the community is so welcoming
Videos like this are much needed.
Honestly the community is amazing. Maybe online these are not that good and nice, but irl most of the time furries are kind, nice, and talented.
1:42 that's why I like being a furry and furries so much they are like somehow even nicer Midwestern people
Im gonna reassure this once again. If the space has 3 dimensions, that means it is expanding infinitely, therefore, if it is expanding infinitely, everything is possible, even furries on one of those planets. The only thing that is in the way is time.
As a furry I have a love hate relationship with the Fandom I absolutely love things like this but there is also alot of things I hate and while a lot of hobbies are like that but it's alot when it comes to furry stuff I do like things like this stuff it keeps things balanced
20:52 fun fact I have and if the jeans are baggy enough yes it is kinda comfy ngl
This is amazing this is why I joined the fandom all the kindness and artisticnes
Thank you for showing and telling me all the information about this video Beta.
12:18 this is so real, I've seen some new furry youtuber post his 1st vid and in just a few days he had over 1k subs
Being a furry since I was 10 , the community is great , really pulled me through dark times in life . Not many young people had fursuits I mean none but it was a big thing that that never mattered and ppl took the core meaning better ❤ -cotton
I was destroy and broken by my own country community other furries pick up the pieces. They make fun of my art, personality and where I was from, this create a lack of confidence not allowing me work as a freelance artist that was and still is my only job (now I developed a chronic pain condition)
I'm still in fear of speaking my mind most of the time.
My sona is literally just me but fluffy. It did help me through some hard times.
Found some friends there
Hey ive worn jeans to bed before, but that was just because i was that tired to just not even care about changing.
Though i couldnt tell you about it because i dont remember much
Listening to this while building a base in astroneer just hits different
My mom really likes furry. She wants to wear one of my spare suits to Denfur with me. I've been suit making for about 7yrs, but I've never been to a con before, so this will be new. I also have a long time bf through furry as he's one himself.
Furry helped me make friends and makes me feel good about my art. for my 1st artfight attack the recipient said it was great even though i thought iit could be better
Ohhhh that sounds awesome...
By the way, the term is "recipient".
(Off-topic, but I like your profile picture! :0)
@@EndtimeIllusionist Ty! also yeah I'm not the best with grammar and stuff so thanks for that too
OMG WE HAVE THE EXACT SAME BOX FAN
these are such heart warming stories, makes me really happy to be in this fandom
Nice to see some positivity for once!
Human society should strive to be more like the furry comunity
Beta, are your eyes okay? They look like they have a green circle around them. Thanks for the video. I'm glad I can have people that I can be with that understand furry and not think I'm a zoo.
"Who is "Jean" and how do you wear them to bed?" - I wouldn't be able to stop myself from asking! 🤣
_gasp_ that's the same thing an _INDOCTRINATOR_ would say!
You're welcome Beta.
the Drama about Poodling sadly is very much an irl thing as of current in Germany there's 3 events that have banned Poodling
Question
Recently i made anthro oc
What now?
Where can you share furry art and talk to others about it?
Where are you all?
That might depend on how deep you want your social experience to be.
Sharing furry art? Lots of folks use FurAffinity, but many share their art on Twitter.
Talking to folks? Discord, Telegram, Twitter are popular.
In my particular case, it's important to be to speak with local furries, so I use Discord and Telegram to talk to local/regional furries.
Need help navigating these questions?
Green flags? I am in france here are only white ones.
Crazy
If we combine all the flag colors, do we get a huge Italian flag?💚🤍❤️
I was thinking more of a Mexican Flag lol
@@RTMonitor that too😊
👍
so do i i am a tiktop furry dog trying to show us furry and nice and friendly i am diggerjake nice to meet you i wont let haters put us down i love this fandom so much ruff
9:38 well i have a problem called whatever i do it makes everybody disappointed, not happy/angry just because im a furry (fucking finland)
It’s a good place but it’s got a lot of sexual content
And I feel alienated as a minor because of that and people tell me to suck it up and I don’t know if I want to be here anymore
The furry fandom has led my to a great path trust me I have done some horrible and sinful things but I found the furry fandom and I seen how many good people there are and I have not stopped ol’ all those bad things and hey I’m a furry now and I have 2 loving furry friends that care for me and I care for them.
I used to hate furies and people would call me a furry and I would get so mad but mow look at me I'm a furry and Awakened as a therian last year I love being a furry I don't have furry friends i only have 1 therian friend but most of my friends support me but that sparked a question in me have you ever seen a furry turn into a hater? before or has it always been a hater who turned into a furry
The 95% in question
Lemme boop the snoot in the background!
no green flags here but we have green cards =^
love the vid, so wholesome.
im also not a furry but i think the community is so friendly compared to other communities
Hello, i want to join furry community but I'm semi-furry i mean i support furries and i like them but I don't feel good enough to have fursuit and i don't have any fursona (for now) and I have 2 questions about it (im 13 years old btw)
1.Can i join that community but now I am as I wrote above ?
2.At what social media i can start communicate with furries ? (discord, facebook etc.) . (I am afraid that I will be rejected....)
Dude don’t worry at all there is no rejection from the community (unless you do some real messed up stuff). If you want to be one, you are one. Simple as. No need for a sona, no need for a suit, no need for anything if you consider yourself as one : lot of us are in this case anyway. So congratulations, you’re a real furry now. Also discord server, telegram chatroom and Reddit are the most used platforms to chat
I love the furry fandom. It is my number 1!

Something that annoys me so much is that the video is 29 minutes long and 59 seconds…
why? because it short ONE sec.? not an even number?
@@MattStMarie-bm5sq it’s just a little annoying it’s not like I’m mad it’s that feeling when something is really close to being perfect but there’s one thing missing
