Kyle bite your tongue about instant coffee. I love it. You did a great job getting that wall tent up by yourself. Experience has taught you well for your decision on this wall tent. Looking forward for your start on new cabin...
I don't know why I didn't get a notification when I have my bell on. I was thinking Kyle hasn't posted so 🤔 I'm thinking I need to go and check and here we are. It's like someone gave me doughnuts. I love me some Kyle, Cierra and Skeeter. I haven't even finished watching the video, I'm just excited to watch. ❤❤🙏 Ps. I love the tent, it looks so cozy and comfortable. I also like that you have a comfortable cot to sleep on, owww, I wish it was me. I'm scared of the outside but as I've watched videos like yours, @jaylegere, I've been encouraged to sleep in a tent and go camping, God willing. I think it's better to cut your own hole in the tent for the stove pipe. That's tent looks heavy duty and sturdy. It does looked so comfortable. I'm excited for whatever you have coming for us. Me, personally I enjoy everything you put out. I watch your videos more than once. Thank you so much. I know its hard work to get out such wonderful videos. God bless you. ❤🙏
It's nice that you have a strong sturdy tent like that and able to put a wood stove in it while you build another cabin. It'll be nice watching you build another cabin. Take care.
VERY nice tent! Get an interlocking mat for the floor. I saw one guy use the tent floor, then an interlocking mat, then a second layer of interlocking mats, and then a full size carpet remnant. Talk about warm and comfy!!
Jay Legere has done amazing things with that type of tent. He used pallets for the base of the floor. He is up in the North West Territories in Canada, originally from Labrador. Cold areas.
😂I’d been thinking how long it had been since I’d seen a new vid from you or Cierra, then when this popped up, I realized it’d only been a week and a half😂 y’all are appreciated.
There's a lot to be said for being content with oneself and the simplicity of this lifestyle. Thanks for sharing Kyle, I enjoy your no frills videos....and Skeeter, of course!
Thanks for sharing about the wall tent Very sturdy for winter and summer weather Love seeing Skeeter He seemed happy and warm while you took care of setting up tent Take care and see you in next video
That reminds me of the tents my dad would borrow from the military when we went on leave and went camping. Just make sure it gets dried out before you pack At is a gorgeous tent and porch set up!!! Better than a cabin!
Nice review of the tent features Kyle. You are an awesome person. Many blessings to you, Cierra and that good dawg. I just LOVE LOVE that dawg! Camarillo Grammy. (So. Calif)
Hey Kyle. That’s an impressive tent you put up. Its a lot of work. Good description of the tent. Until your next video ,take care and be safe.(Judy NB)🌲🇨🇦
My friends lived in a tent similar to this, 3000ft up a mountain in Spain, full time for 3 years, 40c in the summer, -10 in the winter sometimes. Completely off grid but incredible satellite Internet lol. You'll love it.
The base of those dead conifer branches you busted off 9:30 gets thick with flammable resin, they're called "fatwood." Great for kindling! Saw off at trunk.
Awesome video! When you go out like this, it reminds me of my boy scout days. Of course our tents weren't nearly as good as this one. Since the weather is starting to act more like spring, I'll probably start spending time on our rural property in our small camper while I build a tiny off-grid house. We're hoping to get started building our new house this summer so we can move in before next winter. Stay safe and see you soon!
Oh, one more thing...check under your bedding each morning for moisture. The heat from your body plus cold from underneath makes alot of condensation. We pull back our sleeping bags to let the woodstove dry it out. We love our porch too!
Morning kyle have you brought yourself some more land and another cabin go for it kyle you are going to have a nice portfolio of cabins and land good luck to you both.
Awesome video Kyle ! This is the fifth winter I've resided in my tent......same same but wondered if yours was capable of a wood log frame set up as well as the conduit. Couldn't notice if you had hole vents allowing for a wood ridge beam. Nice windows you have there for light. My zipper has lasted well with no problems but it will stretch over time so be aware of your front frame legs. Nice add on cover for the front! You will find the clips will actually contain proper closer using less ware on the zipper when constantly being busy in and out. I used patio stones under my stove. I use fire bricks in the stove, not sure if I seen any in your set up (helps warpage) The flap to the outside wood stove pipe should be rapped tight and tucked back hard as to not melt over time....leaving a hole for the summer rain. I even placed a 2 x 2 piece of fire prof over the fly and pipe hole as to not have bits fall from the top of stove pipe and compile under fly. Not saying you don't know but food for thought....extra stove pipe and flute on hand will make you smile. Great life Kyle, like your style. Keep a smile and enjoy :) Thank you both for the time you put into sharing a healthy life style.
Great video, love the tent it will really work well for long term. Your videos have great info for people who might want to live the life style your living.Hello to Sierra also.
That is a great tent, for sure need the porch. That would have been nice at Suker camp in Michigan April 1st. Woke up with snow and wet from the condensation.
Awesome tent for sure, definitely will hold up well! Looking forward to your new cabin and watching you from base camp ⛺️ Skeeter looks really comfortable on your cot! 😂 until next time ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Neat - as long as critters both small and large do not get inside - - - - looks comfy enough for a couple of youngsters like you and Cierra. I was just thinking about the black bears coming out of hibernation, but as it is on the same property as the log cabin, and there have not been any bear intrusions, maybe your luck will hold out! Just don't let that pesky pine marten know where the tent is! Ha, ha!
We have one of these (and we love it) it was base camp while we were building our off grid. Built a deck for it and planning to frame it in this summer as a guest camp. I’ve been watching your channel for a bit/ great job man.
The Sock Cloth is the bottom 12" of your walls, in your video is shows it being Tan Colored. Lay the Sock Cloth Wall flat all around the inside perimeter of your tent. The flooring is set on top of the Sock Cloth. This is how you prevent bugs, water, snow, wind, etc. from coming inside your tent.
Hi! We live in a wall tent in northwest Montana. If i may, after living in a wall tent for a year i strongly suggest a fly (tarp) that extends the length of your tent with a stove jack. Make sure your stove pipe is higher than the highest point of your tent, a spark arrestor and extra support (vertical) poles in the event of extra snow load. Cheers!
You're right about it lasting. Does the vestibule have a screen room that goes with it? That will be handy in a couple of months. A couple of nice big tin chests for mouse "resistant" (nothing's mouse proof) storage and you are going to be golden. Enjoy your summer...
Hey Kyle I tried to get up to my remote property last weekend by grandma Ray and I could not get in still there was about 16 inches of snow. You were lucky lol
Love that wall tent with that porch. I want one of those. You, Cierra & Skeeter are so fortunate to have one. That wood stove is perfect for the wall tent. What kind is it?
Cozy. Skeeter is a joy to behold.

That's nice to have the opportunity to use the wood stove inside when cold season or outside warm season .
Kyle bite your tongue about instant coffee. I love it. You did a great job getting that wall tent up by yourself. Experience has taught you well for your decision on this wall tent. Looking forward for your start on new cabin...

Kudos for the ability to accomplish big tasks alone. An admirable skill for sure. Skeeter rules 😊
VERY nice tent! Get an interlocking mat for the floor. I saw one guy use the tent floor, then an interlocking mat, then a second layer of interlocking mats, and then a full size carpet remnant. Talk about warm and comfy!!

@@KYLESCABIN Its a dog's dream. Outdoors but a warm place to sleep.
😂I’d been thinking how long it had been since I’d seen a new vid from you or Cierra, then when this popped up, I realized it’d only been a week and a half😂 y’all are appreciated.

Nothing like a Skeeter kiss on the ear while building a fire huh Kyle? Love this tent.
Hey Kyle. That’s an impressive tent you put up. Its a lot of work. Good description of the tent. Until your next video ,take care and be safe.(Judy NB)🌲🇨🇦

My late father had wall tents. I wished he had not sold them all. You got me interested in Wall Tent. Have the other type tents , too many.
Awesome!👍😎🇨🇦🔥🐾
Great video, love the tent it will really work well for long term. Your videos have great info for people who might want to live the life style your living.Hello to Sierra also.
Always interesting Kyle. I dont like the cold and have never been to the snow. Live in sub tropics and if it gets below 15C we are freezing lol.
We have been looking at wall tents, looks reinforced in all the corners were the polls go, looks good.
That is a great tent, for sure need the porch. That would have been nice at Suker camp in Michigan April 1st. Woke up with snow and wet from the condensation.
Yeah the porch really comes in handy!

Hi. Very smart man!!! I also camped in Spain. Enjoyed it.
Hardworking man!
Thanks for sharing, Kyle! Love the way the porch and tent came together. Enjoy living in the tent!
Nice I want one of those.
Should rename it Kyles Cabins ! Several levels of accommodations!
Nice!
You could add velcro all around the bottom parameter of the bottom and to also to the floor to get a tight seal.
The tent looks very nice & cozy. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🏕🏕🏕🏕🏕🏕
Really nice tent, Kyle! Looking forward to your new build!
Nice tent!

Nice! They are good tents. It will make an awesome guest cabin.
Awesome
