    I think its interesting how cersei (ever since her last child died) since she took the throne, her wardrobe has changed from womanly queen outfit to dark manly outfits. Power move?

    Sam is being given a reward. The Archmaester cannot give Sam access to the restricted section, so he have bought the relevant books to him, to "copy out".

    There is a reason to everything Bran dose even why he chose to bring up that horrible memory from sansas past. I do not understand why anyone would hate him at this point for so many reasons. And to everyone who finds his storyline boring, Bran is much more important than many may realise or want to believe. And he has one of the biggest parts in the war to come. and when people finally come to realise this, it will be one of the most satisfying moments in the show for me. He deserves more recognition.

    Did you not catch the callback to season 6?
    Jon "You've been talking to Tyrion"
    Dany "He is my hand."
    Jon "He likes to talk."
    Dany "We all enjoy what we're good at."
    Jon "I don't" (Jon is thinking about all the fights he had to engage in and all the people he had to kill... If Jon wasn't any good at fighting he wouldn't even have survived past the 3rd season)
    Dany looks at Jon maybe reminded of how Ser Barristan told Dany Rhaegar was good at fighting but didn't enjoy it.

      Yeah I don't think that was her immediate thought when he said that to her. She just kind of took into consideration that like "oh, he's a sane man who would rather not kill unless he has to. Maybe I can trust him."

    Ahhh this episode was awesome!! With the Jaime/Olenna part, I think Jaime was hurt by the memory of his son dying, but like everyone knew, even Jaime and Cersei, that Joffrey was beyond saving anyway. He wasn't worth protecting.. maybe that's just because we all hated Joffrey so much but I feel like Jaime kind of thought about doing something to Olenna but brushed it off a little. And I don't think he's going to tell Cersei!
    PS. Sandrine, your hair looks amazzzzing!

    • @graphiquejack
      @graphiquejack 7 років тому +4

      TokyoFatisha exactly. Jaime knowing Tyrion is innocent is another nail in the coffin of his relationship with Cersei, because he knows that she and their father wanted him dead without caring whether he actually murdered Joeffrey. Their family is fucked because of Cersei, father, children dead and brother exiled.

      Jaime never believed that Tyrion poisoned Joffrey and he took Tyrion's word for it. Jaime might be angry about Tyrion's patricide even though Jaime did not like their father either.

    I think that the archmaester keeps Sam at the Citadel, not punishing him for disobedience, and has him copy the manuscripts, in order to let Sam learn from the manuscripts, because, as they are called manuscripts, to copy them is to actually read them and manually write them down to other pages of parchment. In the process, Sam must have learnt some new information, perhaps critical to the story line.

    • @arinsabrina
      @arinsabrina 7 років тому +1

      In a sense, that was his reward

    • @valkyriesardo278
      @valkyriesardo278 7 років тому +4

      it is not just a reward. It is a promotion. Maester said Jorah's cure required meticulous precision that even bonafide maesters could not achieve. Sam said he read and followed the directions. They don't want a careless slob doing copy work. The more time Sam spends with quill and ink is less time he has to spend cleaning bed pans.

    • @mrspidey80
      @mrspidey80 7 років тому +1

      Who knows. Maybe Sam will stumble on some document that verifies a marriage between Rhaegar and Lyanna? That would make Jon a legit Targ with the best claim to the Iron Throne.

  • @TheGrogin13
    @TheGrogin13 7 років тому +4

    I agree, there was sexual tension on that second meeting with Dany and Jon. And Davos should have laid out Jon title as such: His Grace Jon Snow the first of his name. Great Bastard of the Houses
    Stark and Targaryen. Rightful heir to the Iron Throne, King of the
    Andals and the First Men, and Protector of the Seven Kingdoms. Lord of
    Winterfell & King in the North. The Resurrected, The White Wolf, the
    998th Lord Commander of the Nights Watch, Opener of the Gate, Champion
    of the Freefolk & Knower of Nothing.

    Cersei's played her hand at this point. The only reason she and Jaime outsmarted Tyrion, was because they knew Casterly Rocks mines of gold had run dry. Casterly Rock was known to be the seat of power in the kingdom, and the wealth behind the crown. So its obvious Tyrion would go for it. But Cersei and Jaime know its useless now, and that Highgarden is where the money and food are right now. But, honestly, starting next episode... her short victories will end... Just like Rob Stark's did.

    • @ericapalmoremoon
      @ericapalmoremoon 7 років тому +1

      You would think Tyrion would have known that.

  • @WILTALK
    @WILTALK 7 років тому +3

    Cersei is not that smart. She just knew that she needed the gold and resources that High Garden held and she had the generals to ( Tyrell and Jamie ) to plan and carry it out. It was the only logical move available to her and Tyrion should have known that. Tyrion is vastly over rated. He thinks he is much smarter than he actually is. The smartest move for Dany would have been to follow Yara's advice and if not attack Kings Landing, lay siege to it. They could have starved them out. Any attempt to reinforce the city could have been handled by either the Dorthraki or the Dragons. They could have taken Casterly Rock at any time. It would have put them of the defensive and taken away any options she had left. Never let a politician dictate a war.

    Euron is super Deus Ex Machina.
    He builds a fleet that's better and bigger than the previous one (that Yara took) in no time. He sails it faster than Yara to reach Cersei and back to capture Yara's half fleet. Then he sails back to Cersei and still has time to sail to Casterly Rock to catch Greyworm's fleet which has sailed with Yara (but not together for some reason? I mean look at the map, they're going the same way) on the other side of the continent. And they have like a stealth shield cause they are never seen until they are attacking? Are they Klingon ships or somethings? Does Yara's and Greyworm's fleet not have scout-ships and lookouts?
    IT'S COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!
    Just to make it so that Cersei isn't squished like a bug. Why aren't they laying siege (from afar) on King's Landing like immediately so that Cersei's armies can't move about?
    And how did Jaime capture High-garden so easily? It's a castle, you can't take those things so easy unless you have a secret entrance (sewers). And the Tyrell army was big, that bit about them being weak warriors was NONSENSE.
    This episode was COMPLETE BULLSHIT.

    I sure hope Bran doesn't become Dr Manhattan. Uber characters are boring and knowing the future is paradoxical and usually boring cause writers can't make a clever plot about it usually and just mess it all up.
    Also Dr Manhattan is not really a good comparison. Paul Atreides from Dune is a lot closer a comparison.

    I caught up with you yeahhhhh!
    Great review, again, my EXACT thoughts, weird :/
    I'll add:
    1- Cercei's vengeance is EXACTLY what I'd wish I'd be able to do to the person who'd (God forbid) kill my only daughter. "You're going to have a taste of your own medicine" like, but only worse, and "till you die of natural cause, I'll give you time to think about what you've done to my child, to me to your own child and ultimately to yourself" kind of punishment. 100% Lioness Mama attitude, which makes sense since she's a Lannister;
    2- Jon and Dany, Dany and Jon Jony, Danon.. I'm not ready to ship it but I would definitely see a sibling-like deep friendship develop between those 2. I thought Jon would have bend the knee on the cliff when they were by themselves and she allowed him to mine dragonglass. But he didn't. He should have IMO;
    3- Sansa and Little Finger. "Nobody here knows Cercei as much as I do" and Sansa is like "actually...I do" LF seems to forget that Sansa was in the front row just as much as him (or even closer to the stage/ON stage) when they were both at Kings Landing...;
    4- Olena Tyrell telling Jaime that SHE is the one who killed his son MUST have him realize he was right to let Tyron go back when their father was murdered. Maybe Cercei will be able to forgive her "baby bro" for her father's death (that kind of freed her from an unwanted marriage after all..) and will lure him to side with them..?
    5- Bran, does he know Arya is coming? Can't he tell Sansa already? i want a Stark siblings reunion ASAP *stomps her foot while pouting until it happens*
    Ok, now I "have to" run... watch the preview for next episode and then your preview video!
    *work? what's that?*
    💚 Cilou

    Yall! Remember when LF was at the tree with Sansa telling all he ever wanted was her on the throne with him at the tree? I think Bran was there if you go back and watch as Sansa walks away, LF looks back like someone was behind him, I think Bran was there. I also think LF picked up on something, in this episode when it opens at Winterfell and Sansa is walking down steps with LF, she asked the Maester to look into the records for the winter info, and he says they kept a record of all the letters he will look through them, go look back at LF's reaction he looks fast at the Maester and is like crap!! I got and sent letters to Cerci from here, so I think they will totally bring that back!! Also, could Bran warg into Sansa to kill LF??

    • @Fangtorn
      @Fangtorn 7 років тому

      Yeah, I think Littlefinger's look at the Maester was significant too, but he was talking about Maester Luwin's records and Luwin was killed by the Ironborn before LF was ever at Winterfell. I guess he could be worried about the letter he had Lysa send Catelyn, but I think his interest is about the secrets those records may contain, like maybe there's something in there about Jon Snow.

    • @126TCY
      @126TCY 7 років тому

      Thats what I'm saying, if Maester Luwin kept all records, and then this Maester kept records too. There is lots that can be used against LF in those records, even from when there was an assassin attempt on Bran, this might be where cats paw comes back in to works, I think def its going to be some of his messages from and to Cerci kept by this new Maester, remember scene between LF and Roose Bolton about sending letters to Cerci, that is significant, and a time LF was in Winterfell, he never would think Sansa would find out he was corresponding with Cerci.

  • @CharlieFamily

    I also think Sam will find something in those scrolls and books. But it might not just be about the long night or how to kill dragons. It could be about how to make Valyrian weapons, since that is an old but lost art, that would be handy to know now...
    Or it could be proof of Rheagar & Lyanna being married prior to her giving birth to Jon and dieing. You have to remember Ned was able to learn the truth about Cersi & Jamie's 3 blonde headed kids based on records that were kept. Records of marriages, births, and deaths are kept by maesters. And also Targaryens were allowed to have more than one wife. So Rheagar would have been allowed to marry Lyanna if he wanted. Which would legitimize Jon. You cant just expect him to learn this based on Bran's word. Because how could you expect the whole kingdom to believe this or accept it, just from Bran's visions. There would have to be documentation to make it valid & worth something to everyone else around Jon.

  • @CharlieFamily
    @CharlieFamily 7 років тому

    Love your videos. I wanna say a few things based on your video that may be worth thinking about:
    1. I dunno that Jon and Danny will be romantically involved or not, but I noticed a closeness there too. And if (key word If) they do end up romantically involved with each other - it would not be far fetched. It is normal for Targaryens to marry within their family. Some of the Targaryen men were even allowed to have more than one wife. Usually, they were brother & sisters. In this case Aunt & nephew. So Jon & Danny dont know they are related, yet, to be fair... and if they do find out after falling inlove, they could say screw it and be together anyway. And its not like the show doesnt give us an incest relationship already. Jamie & Cersei are twins for cryin out loud lol. Plus if he is not going to bend the knee, and she wants part of the north as her kingdom, the easiest way would be a marriage.
    2. Not only will one of the dragons die... (yes at least one will) But it may not be the way we think one will die! We assume it will be by combat with the Lannisters due to the device/weapon they have made to do so. But that's too predictable. They set it up that way, and then if a dragon dies that way, we've expected it! Nope! There are leaked sources who have been correct in that past - saying in one of the last episodes (most likely the 6th) that we may actually get our ice dragon. #FanService on their part for us the audience.
    Apparently when Jon goes up north beyond the wall with his group, they get swarmed. Danny swoops in to the rescue, but the Night King launches an ice spear through one of the little ones. Viserys! It kills him and he falls from the sky into the icey waters below.
    Towards the end of the episode, Danny is hurt that this nights king has killed one of her children. And she now believes the undead army is all real (seeing them with her own eyes)... she is out for revenge. She vows to Jon she will help him fight the war against the walkers.
    And then you cut out to the Nights king resurrecting the dead dragon, Viserys. His eyes now ice blue.
    Now, would the show actually do this? If done in this particular way, yes I think they would. Because they planned to go all out on the budget, to make these last seasons the best they could for us. And they wouldnt have to spend extra money on CGI for a fourth ice dragon, if they still just have 3 dragons to work with. It brings danny down to size to have lost one of her powerful dragons, and it gives them a dragon (not a forth extra one) to use her dead dragon, as the ice dragon we so very much want to see.

    Before watching the episode I thought the meeting with Dany and John would be my favorite. But actually, man, the last scene was the best! Starting from the point where Jaime walks through the castle. After all these battle/soldiers scenes, the static conversation between Jaime and Olenna, the room, the actors play, theater like. The pure true, that clarified some of the past and set up so many things for the future development. Jaime does it all for love (will eventally failed - at least my guess). Olenna - for the future of her family (actualy failed). Cersei being the pest. I like Cersei from the series more that from the books. In the books she is just stupid but in series her character is more multidimensional. I could rewatch it again and again.

    So in Heroes I couldn't ship Peter and Claire because he was her uncle, even though they had INSANE chemistry, but in this series everyone is ok with shipping the same kind of thing? I mean, I know it's medieval fantasy, but still.

    It makes me laugh how time and geography are meaningless concepts in the show. Euron's fleet can sail from King's Landing to literally the other side of Westeros in two weeks, and Lady Olenna can teleport from Dragonstone to Highgarden. I suppose its better than scene after scene of people marching and sailing, but I felt the Lannister victories lacked impact without the time to appreciate them. They just took Highgarden and essentially trapped the Unsullied in like ten minutes of screentime.

    The way Melisandre told Varys that he is going to die there made me think that she has seen their death in her flames or something. Like she was very sure it would be in Westeros for both of them. Hmm... She couldn't know that for sure if he was going to die of old age I dont think. Cause why would she see an old Varys falling asleep for the last time in her flames? And why would she know she had to die there if she hadn't forseen it somehow? And why would she even mention his death if she had only seen her own? And does she have to die FOR something? If she HAS to die? Will Varys die for it too? Hmm... Or was she simply implying that she finds Varys to be predictable as far as his life choices goes?

    Sam Tarley's task to translate the papers I think may not have been intended as a punishment. I think more like, "if you are that good, then this is what you should be doing, even though it will be painful". A natural consequence of showing that much skill would be to endure the training to be able to use it.

    I guess its a good thing Bran don't control his abilities completely yet, because he would be to broken in the show right now. Like he could know or predict how people will react, since he could look into their lives and know it all, Little finger for example, he wouldn't deceive Bran at all. Or anybody for that matter, he should see anything coming although he might as well be just an spectator too since he is the Three Eye Raven.

    It's so obvious!! She's gonna rape Jon and I don't want it. But I think if anything happens too fast, everything will change quickly.

      Lavender Cloud no evidence at all. It's just a feeling. It's not even meant to be serious.

    things I didn't like about this episode..1. Euron is a complete rip-off of Negan, and 2. Ellaria and Tyene were WAY out of character. They were acting like teenage kidnap victims and that's never been their style
