    your workout idea for this kickback is not effective..... you should had put your left foot to the right across the band, and do the kickback using similar direction with your right foot BEHIND the left foot..this called DIAGONAL cable kick back or in this case with your long band. Secondly, long band is not a practical device since the poin of all long band is to replace Pull-Trough glute workouts with cable machine, and its not as effective either. Cable pull trough obviously wins. Some people uses this band to help them hold the hips while doing cable deadlifts, but thats the only second good thing about it, the rest are useless (unless you are hopelessly train your glutes at home the whole year straight )
