There are so many reasons to use Maths. And with this simple explanation you gave many people a good reason to watch your channel. You have my insta-sub for clarity (though I did not need it ^^).
Fantastic explanation! I'm not happy with the release curve on my ADSR module and googled how to make an ADSR out of Maths and came straight here. Many thanks!
If I'm using a gate from my Keystep Pro, which only has one gate out per track, can I use one of double cables from one gate output for the two gates into both Trigger inputs on Maths?
how many independent / nonidentical envelopes can you have output at once? like off i had a module with 8 cv inputs, how many things could i control without using the same envelopes twice?
You could have the Unity outputs from Channel 1 and 2, and then the Or, Sum, and Inverted outputs as well. So, five total. If you plug a cable to use the attenuated outs of 1 or 4, you remove them from the mix outputs.
@@Hermbot awesome! thanks for the response. i know it’s a good module but i’m trying to get the most envelopes for my buck so to speak. do you know any modules that could have more than 5? also i was wondering about the piston honda and if it could modulate cv envelopes with its wave table, i know it wouldn’t be 5 outputs but that type of constant fluctuation might fool the ear so to speak. any thoughts? thanks for your videos and hard work, very much a fan
Can this same thing be done with 2 channels of Quadrax, to make it effectively an ADSR? Thinking about getting Quadrax and would be nice if you could do this :)

this is seriously the best demonstration of this I've found. thank you!
Awesome. My first time getting a modular patch working and this video gave me a couple ah ha moments. Thanks!
gonna try to apply these methods to my Rampage, great video!
Super informative! 10 points for clearity! Thank you!
Great video. I knew Maths could do it and I was breaking my brain trying to figure it out! Thank you.
Excellent video, helps to understand the simple math (lol). Very easy once you understand the underlying principles. Kudos!

You sure can
Thanks for explaining clearly ....and your cat’s name is?
This video was extremely helpful! Thanks!

You'd still need the "max" function from a different module, I believe. I don't think the Quadrax has that.
GOOOOOOD VIDEO BRO :D
