Thanks, guys! This really helped me out. I had my swapped out in 10 minutes because of your video (and it solved the problem).

Great video guys. I was all excited for a fix for my 2005 M3 with similar issues. Until I realized the part has the M3 tax 😭

Awesome, now would replacing this also fix no heat in the cabin? the blower motor and fans work in my e46. but I am getting 0 heat.

The problem we had was that if we turned the ac on it would just blow out extremely hot air because the valve was stuck open, I cant say for sure if that is the issue, but it is certainly a good possibility, however another reason could be that one or more fuses are broken, I recommend looking into it further, hope this was of help!

Nice video! but shouldn't you also bleed the coolant system now? because you got some air in it I guess

Laurens Bree thanks for the comment! And on this particular car no, this BMW has a system that automatically bleeds any air, at most if you lose allot of coolant during this replacement you have to top up the coolant, but even them the air bleeding happens automatically, I don’t know however if many other BMW’s have this function however, so don’t assume you can get away with less work on any car!

Do you happen to know where I can get the 2 pin connector for this control valve? BMW was clueless. Thanks

Hey guys, try using a socket on your hose clamps instead of a screwdriver. It makes it a lot easier

Well done guys. You don't need a magnetic parts tray - just buy a muffin tin

Sorry to say but your videography left a lot to be desired. Camera moved around too much! Got dizzy watching the footage! Keep it steady!!!
