I shouldn’t say this you think i’ll get in trouble. If you clicked on this video it’s because you know that Chanel just released Bleu de Chanel Parfum and you want to know which one is THE BEST. You’re probably also aware that it comes in an eau de parfum and an toilette and you just want to know which one to buy for god’s sakes.

I probably shouldn’t say this but if you’re a die hard fan Bleu de Chanel and whether you love the bleu de chanel Parfum, Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum or Bleu de Chanel Toilette YOU NEED TO KNOW, that WITHOUT A DOUBT you should buy the one that you love the MOST TODAY, and you should probably by a back up, and here’s why.
What’s up everyone I’m TIFF the Perfumista and Today we’re going to discuss a word that every perfumista HATES TO HEAR. A word so cringeworthy, so insulting and off putting that it would make any perfumista’s ear bleed. REFORMULATION. The very idea of buying a reformulated bottle would literally stop any perfumista in their tracks and go from deal go to no deal at all! Now discontinuing fragrances and scent reformulations are quite common in the world of fragrance. So sad but true.
Some of my die hard Chanel fragrance lovers know that Chanel recently went through a discontinuation of the Les Exclusif line, discontinuing their line which at one point was eau de toilettes and then replacing them, (EXCUSE) REFORMULATING each individual scent to be AN EDP. So what does this mean for you? Well I’m (LOWKEY) worried. What if down the line Chanel phases out the Bleu de Chanel Toilette version that so many ppl love. I mean, it’s possible. Or maybe over time, we could start to notice certain tweaks with performance and longevity in the eau de toilette and the eau de parfum steering its customers in the direction of buying the parfum?
Now I love Chanel, Chanel is probably one of my favorite fashion and fragrance houses of all time. I have a Chanel tattoo for christ sakes. But Chanel is going to do what’s for the greater good of Chanel, period. Understandably so, even at the expensive of its customers, as we’ve already seen it happen in the past, to the tune of and extra $100 per bottle for the Les Exclusif fragrances. So just as a friendly reminder because i love you so much. Get the one you love today because who the hell knows what tomorrow holds.
And if you don’t know which one you love, that’s why you have me.
I gave you a price breakdown in my last video and I’ll leave it in the cards so that you can click it and watch. The 5.0oz Bleu de Chanel edp I believe provides you with the most value as it the same price as the 3.4oz parfum version. $150 plus tax. To be perfectly honest, I’m not crazy about the EDT so that’s a total pass, For me personally it’s a toss up between the EDP and parfum. The EDP is fresher and last longer. It does. But I personally prefer Bleu de Chanel parfum. I love it, I love the way it wears, and to me it just richer and suit my taste just fine. So you do what’s right for you. If your on a budget and you want the best value get the EDP. If You’re a fan of the EDP and want a more fuller fragrance, go with the parfum.

I tried the parfum version and i see that the edp is the most balanced one between the freshness and the deepness.

The EDT lasts and projects longer than the EDP only for Bleu de Chanel and it has the best value proposition. EDP usually lasts longer but not in this case.
I own the EDT & EDP and sampled the parfum for over a week. I prefer the Parfum. It performs better at night tho. Like I said in my review, the parfum will go down as the best date-night scent EVER.

The parfum is thick , deep, and the most mature out of the BDC lineup . Great for evenings and to make an impression
Thank you i was confused with the EDP and the Parfum. I just started out in the fragrance community when i walked into a Von Maur store and i asked for help on finding my first scent and the lady was a real professional and you could trust her completely and she goes to school to make fragrances. She recommended me The EDT as a personal opinion, so i guess i should stick with that but i thought the EDT was a bit more pleasant then the EDP i did smell the EDP but loved what i had more so thank you. Bleu De Chanel is like my first pokemon, it's my first love.
The Parfum version is a bit powdery, its nice but I like the EDT over the Parfum version, its just that perfect small detailed roughness what fits for men.
Do partum dry out and powdery or just chanel?
I'm using both right now and EDP is better.
I also get more compliments with EDP.
Parfum is so dense that it doesn't really spread out as well as the parfum, it "feels" too heavy.
I’ve smelled the edt, and the edp, and I’ve been debating whether it was good enough to purchase. So this one dropped and at the first smell, I was in love with it. It’s like they took everything I hated or didn’t convince me to purchase the edt or the edp and made it perfect. The parfum is perfection and I know own a bottle of blue de Chanel parfum.
Bleu de Chanel parfum is my daily driver fragrance. I buy it in the 5 oz bottle. I wear it for myself and no other reason. I am an old man living in a rural community in western Washington.

EDT is my favorite. I own the EDP as well and I think that is only for dressed up, or a nice sweater. Just my opinion, I think the Parfum smells the same as the EDP. Kind of a redundancy.

Agreed!, as both EDP, and Parfum basically starts out the same!, and, it's extremely hard to tell which one totally out performs the other! Unless you have a professionally trained nose, EDP is the best overall value!

The parfum is darker 100% . Peoole that say they can't smell a difference have am amateur nose... period.
EDT gives the better overall performance in my opinion. I also have the the eau de parfum. I love the smell but the performance is lacklustre. Sometimes I layer them to get the best of both worlds.

Totally agree. Love love love the Parfum. Wore it today and just felt great. I wasn't able to smell it much after 10 hours so for my commute back from work I sprayed paco rabanne 1 million Lucky. My wife said "well You smell good!" when I came home 😁 I'd love to see a review on l'homme ideal edp by you!

For me it is EDT, I’ve tried all 3 versions. EDT is more masculine, lasts long like the other two, has a great projection. The opening and the dry down of the EDT beats the EDP and Parfum. But that’s for me.

I bought the parfum and loved the open for sure, BUT it dried quite powdwry and personally I hate powdery. I looked at the notes online and yep...powdery. Edp does not dry down powdery.

Blue de Chanel Eau de parfum is one of the best perfume. I am wearing it know even in school last year I had a lot of compliment from students my dad was wearing both blue de chanel eau de toilette and eau de parfum since 2015 and know he is wearing the new blue de chanel parfum i like both edt has fresher perfect smell but edp has a heavier and stronger perfect smell i love it 2020. ❤

Just received the eau de parfume version, I think it's killer. Haven't given it a full wearing yet to check longevity. I did own the EDT version awhile back, maybe I need to bank a bottle of that for old time sake, it did love that as well.
How do you think projection, sillage and performance compare?
I like the edt the best the edp an parfum comes off a bit feminine to me feels like something my girl would wear

I have the EDP and I just don't feel compelled to purchase the Parfum. It probably made more sense for those going from the EDT to the EDP but not this.

Much love for Chanel but it seems they have been going down this route. EDT has been reformulated and that pushed the masses to the EDP (which I own and love) which definitely is the best bang for your buck as you stated. Hopefully they don't reformulate the EDP to try to get the masses to swarm to the parfum. On that note the parfum is great too and I own and love it. I don't think BDC will be altered/discontinued since Chanel still sells the original Egoiste (fantastic scent) even if it has been watered down the smell still remains the same. I can attest to this because I won the vintage EDT and the vintage cologne concentree. I'm definitely positive that BDC sells way more than Egoiste :P. Thanks for the video!

I have an collections from MFK 540, Roja Elysium Extrait, 4 kinds of Creed cologne. Today, after watching your review, I bought lg bottle of Channel Pafum. I already have 2 bottles of EDP Channel...lol

For me, it's definitely the Parfum, I have to agree with some saying that Chanel are greedy but so are all the others big names when it comes to men's fragrances, what I always find funny is we think nothing of spending £60-£70 for 100mm upwards for fragrances but complain about the price of a gallon of fuel LOL...

I wore The EDT from 2010 to 2017. I bought the 5.1 oz bottle around late 2013. I literally used 1 (once in a blue moon 2) sprays a day. Always got noticed, always got compliments. I Could still smell it on me the next day when I woke up. Finally that big bottle ran out in the summer of 2017 so I bought a new bottle at Nordstrom. Immediately the first day I wore I could tell something was off. I couldn’t smell it on myself anymore. Nobody was complimenting me throughout the week. This bottle was different. I never collected fragrances or was knowledgeable on them. Bleu was my signature scent for years and I just knew they had “watered” down the scent. I didn’t want the EDP, as it smelled different to me so I decided to sell that new bottle off and find something new to wear. I promise you all that the original EDT has been reformulated. It’s projection, longevity, Sillage and overall performance are not what they used to be.

I have the Parfum version and it doesnt last on my skin. Dont get me wrong , it is a great scent . But the downsize of it is the longevity. I would like to get the EDP next time.

Macys had a sale and included 15% and I purchased the Chanel cologne Bleu for my husband but now seeing that parfum is a better value I feel like upgrading. I did smell all of them and the one that I ended up getting was the toilette one. I guess I screwed up

Channel does not reformulate products like ysl, Christian Dior, so Yh I would worry about that on a channel fragrance
I tested this Parfum fragrance in a store, Boscovs...and LOVED it!!! Lavender and woodiness and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!
Bought a full size Parfum bottle at Bloomingdales...and I hate it. Seriously...it sucks!
Nothing but lemon lemon lemon...it never transitions to any other note...but hellish LEMON.
Maybe this bottle needs to age for a year like the bottle I first tested...i don't know.

I sampled the parfum briefly and couldn't semlled the difference, but due to I havent used the 5 oz edp on regularly to make comparisons. There's a 10 oz version of etp available, perhaps for fan of the frangrance that's the way to get maximum value.

No doubt lol. It's my favorite fragrance so it will get used eventually, before I crack the 10 oz, I need to finish my 3.4 lol.
I always go with the 5 oz with Chanel especially since they are such a damn rip off with their frags. I can't imagine what a 10 oz goes for much less looks like. That bottle has to look like a lunch box.

I need some input when it comes to dry skin and oily skin. The fragrance give a totally different aroma once it hit the skin it doesn't smell the same as if it was air sprayed. Is thier a body soap that maybe could enhance or keep the true scent of the fragrance. If anyone could share your thoughts please do.

Hi tiff need your help please like bledu de chaneal eau de parfum like bkedu de chanel parfum I don't know what one to buy when I buy bledu de chanel eau de parfum get complantines wearing bledu de chanel eau de parfum.
Tough choice. Some might come into their best in cold weather, others in warmer seasons. EDT is refreshing and vibrant, stays fresher longer. EDP has more depth, and some sweetness, but it doesn't mean it's better than EDT in a trade-off over fresher longer. Nor does it make it worse. Parfum- deeper more earthy, refined, again the sweetness. Not the same jump between EDP and P as there is between EDT and EDP. What works best for me, maybe not for you, is EDT and EDP switched to take me through the 4 seasons with EDP for evenings. The EDP and P are similar enough that the EDP might be the more versatile choice. The EDT though is too good to not also own. So I will have EDT and EDP. EDT starts drying down in a deep and refined way similar to the Parfum
ps the edp and parfum make me a little 'nose blind' I suspect... so I can't smell them too well after a while. I read it may be due to an ingredient called (I think) Iso Super. The edt maintains an invigorating and rounded citric quality on my skin, while I become a bit desensitised to the other 2

The question I have is, what is the difference between Eau de Parfum and Parfum? Are they different concentrates or are they both EDPs?
Think of parfum as 30% concentration of oils in alcohol. Eau de parfum is 20% and eau de toilette is 10%.

How is the projection and silage of parfum compared to edp?
EDT will give you and people around you a less longevity but a better “explosion” after sprayed on, almost like just toke a shower feeling. Otherwise, we got EDP than has a better performance without that “overwhelming” explosion as EDT. At the end is Perfum than just a few ones fragrances house make this editions, and is the scent “oil” just like you wanna sniff over you but without that feeling of someone else can get it too, have to be too near of you to get it as you do.
Just got a 10 Oz parfum , needless to say, I think it’s the bomb!
