    I love how quiet the newsreader Sally is... not speaking, realises what's going on without any shocks, goes back to the main desk before speaking.

      Indeed. That's why I posted this. You'd be surprised the number of people who click 'Don't Like' on this actually, with quite some vehemence, YT have removed several of them. I think they must be expecting the camera to fall on her on something, but this isn't one of those videos. I just wanted to show a lady being the epitome of calm situation-handling. I do have another video up, of the camera shooting off into the ether, and Victoria Valentine scooting back to the desk to find another one, which IS kind of funny, mainly because the lady just looks at it going awry and goes, "Oh, hello."

      @@paulmurphy4267 Yeah, Victoria is another great presenter. I normally watch this slot for my daily news since they are both great presenters who I find easy to follow & understand.

      Why do people think robots and automation is a new thing? Automation in radio goes back to the 1970s and robotic studio pedestals goes as far back to the start of the 1990s. Here in the U.S. when automation is done right, it's pretty reliable. The problem is when you have some shows manned and some shows automated vs. one or the other...then you run into problems.

      Quite easily I suspect. Those back rooms are horrendously complicated and busy places. If you've never made a mistake, taken your eye off something, pressed a wrong button, or NOT done something you should have... you're probably the ONLY one on the planet.

      Thank you Paul, that's very kind. You would be surprised at the number of people who click 'Don't Like' on this actually, although I think the title tells them pretty clearly what is going to happen. I liked it for 2 reasons, 1, the BBC getting rid of all their staff and trusting the auto-pilot to control everything (we've all seen 'Airplane'!), and 2, the way Sally calmly handles it.
