- The Legend of Zelda is a 35 year old franchise from Nintendo with the first title releasing on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987 and the Latest Title, Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom coming out on May 12th 2023.
Over the past three years video game prices have exploded in value specifically for complete in box titles. Legend of Zelda prices are no exception with some titles raising 200% or more in the past three years.
The good news is that prices are slowing down. Will they drop any lower or are they here to stay?

Do you think Zelda games will rise after Tears of the Kingdom?

They haven’t (at least not from what I’ve seen) if anything they have gone down from their peak. Even during the bubble I never paid more than a hundred bucks for any cib Zelda game. I’ve bought 2 to 3 copies of each between 2019 to now. They aren’t rare at all usually so you just have to hold out till a deal pops up
I’m never telling my wife how much four swords adventures is worth now , because she’d probably want me to sell it. It’s crazy how much the big box version is worth.
I got a loose disc for 40 dollars on Facebook marketplace two weeks back, I was very thankful 😅
Yeah I think I paid $30 for mine and was upset the tape teared. But it's still in really good condition
Where are games like Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition /Age of Calamity, and Cadence Of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necromancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda? You had Links crossbow training, so the games i mentioned should have been included also.

I do. But I haven't really set it up completely and I haven't changed the user name but it's ycvz4x
It's crazy to see how much mania there is for these things. Still, I think tears selling the $100 voucher as a $70 game should stop scalpers (though people will happilh overpay for mega man battle network despite flaws like bad font and no quality of life tutorial cutscene/random encounter skip, metroid prime remastered, and especially physical ff pixel remaster for ps4 that stopped reprint) though many lose value fast after release.
As annoying as switch online expansion is, at least they're generous with zelda games.
4:10 zelda amiibo dungeon levels with link's awakening makes the font, music and art forgivable.
Yeah modern game collecting is bizzare. I honestly didn't go for the collector's edition for tears but did manage to snag it for 60.
@SuperNicktendo oh I am thankful for digital deluxe lol I almost never get physical collector's editiona in time, especially nintendo. Glad NIS collections and R-Type Final 3 (which includes final 2) physicals include art and sound.
How do you determine your prices. Just kinda confused cause price charting has CIB ocarina 64 at around $120, did I miss something?
I mention it in the video and it's description - it's the collector's edition box instead of the base one which is significantly cheaper.

I'm starting the rumor right now. Zelda games stink. If everyone says this and word gets around, the prices will drop. Repeat it enough and people will believe it's true.
