How I made my first Instrument in Decent Sampler - 1987 Drums (free download)

In this video I'm explaining what I went through to create an usable drum sampler from an old, cheap drum machine, with more features and better sound than the original hardware.
With the tips and information in this video, and the resources linked below, you should be able to make your own Decent Sampler library too. I made a lot of mistakes that made it harder, which you can now avoid.
Decent Sampler is a sampling platform similar to KONTAKT, and ESX24, but free and accessible to everyone to create their own.
The short time between idea and proof of concept with DS was extremely enjoyable and while my final instrument is fairly complicated, each stage of the process was very simple.

My first drum machine. I pretty much hated it but used the midi out to trigger better things. The buttons finally wore out and quit responding.

best guess - check preferences for 'tiny fade' and disable.
