The UNSC Fires of Arcadia has been dispatched to remove them and assess the planet for a listening posts to stop further Insurrection which ends in large scale armed conflict across the planet. The unsc have some of the most beautiful warships in all of sci-fi. just Badass looking.

I honestly think Halo is the best sci-fi lore. What’s unique about it is that everything in it seems probable or practical like it could be a real thing. The designs for both the UNSC and Covenant feel authentic and realistic even though it’s not real.
Unlike with Starcraft for example, where the whole giant space marine suit seems cool but just impractical and unrealistic.
Demiclea I haven’t played enough HF to make a call on that, but I’m still confident in Halo.
@@zakattack1945 also, the lore has given so much diverse and detailed info, but left just the perfect amount to the imagination. Such as, we only get a few detailed battles and fall of unsc colonies. But by 2552, only a few dozen of over 800 world's were known to be left.
@Demiclea Nah, Warhammer 40K is basically another starcraft when it comes to it. Giant space marines, impractical ship designs, assault marines that melee with chainsaws, large land raiders with several turrets on them, like the WWI Mark 7 tank or something...
Halo is different because nearly everything in that game is practical, the vehicle designs make sense (except for the scorpion one could argue), ammo counters on UNSC weapons, the ship designs and how they function all make sense. Even the lore history behind the Shaw-Kujikawa FTL drive, and how it differs from the Covenant way of faster than light travel all make logical sense like it's something we could end up seeing in real life.

Coming in from more recent RubixRaptor videos is an interesting experience - this is comparatively more focused and more professional, compared to the more recent stuff which is almost pure goofball and which makes it hard to remember that Jay is in fact a member of command. Not necessarily a bad thing or a good thing, just interesting to see the difference.

Replace zombies with the Flood and this is a plausible hell scenario in-universe.
The mixing of halo and modern machines is a great add. Halo does miss that futuristic feel sometimes and and the vehicles really add that that. 500 years in the future and our armour looks like its less advanced then what it is today

Your group has to try some Mass Effect ops if possible. Whether from the Rachni Wars or The First Contact War or even the Reaper invasion. I feel with this group, the chaos will be even better.

are the covenant available as well on the game? or is it a UNSC vs Insurrectionist only thing?
We were using the Halo mods for ARMA 3: OPERATION: TREBUCHET, and its submod FIRST CONTACT. Trebuchet is mostly just UNSC vs Insurrection, but First Contact introduces the Elites and plans to introduce the rest of the Covenant.

It's just how much they get shot or if they get downed then shot
theres locational damage model for legs, arms, feet, chest/torso, and head. it depends on where you get hit; armor cuts damage by half

Hey RubixRaptor (or anyone who hates new Ace) If you use this mod instead of Ace, It is new Ace just with old medical systems and it will work but the Arma Launcher will say you need Ace for any mod that needs Ace but just ignore that it will work Arma just thinks it's not Ace. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1960252423 ( Last Note I did not make this give love to the person that did)
