- In 1949 a vanguard invasion of Chimera emerged into the frozen wastes of Siberia and were intercepted by the brave men of the soviet tractor platoon. It didn't go over that well if you're familiar with resistance lore.

The tractors were not a planned part of the operation, but they were an essential part of the operation. Hope you guys enjoy watching us get melted by aliens, and thanks for stopping by!
Edit: In Resistance lore the soviets actually didn't exist as pointed out by a bunch of top tier lore goblins. So just pretend they are Tsar Era Troops!
Also that mod I mentioned that added Chimeras: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2621483666&searchtext=JEFF
No plan survives first contact with the enemy.
Adapt, improvise, overcome.
Nonsense comrade the gallant lives of the Soviet tractor divisions little forever echo in history and they will be heroes of the state
Resistance is actually pretty fun. I think you should give the games a go. I think you would really enjoy them
Rubix are you guys gonna play Barotrauma again?
Comrade Jay, it has been eight days since your last upload! Are you sure you are fit for combat?
“Wait we’re using bolt actions?” “Don’t worry the aliens have fully automatic lazer rifles” hmm definitely not somethin to worry about
Senpai noticed me
You see, it's a meta joke, because technology that does things like what the Chimera's tech does was terrifying eldritch magic in the 1950's, but we have guns that work like most of theirs do in the 21st century.
Dashiell I can’t tell if your being serious or not cause I do know it was a joke
@your local crusader That's a Myth btw.
The classic Spray & Pray vs 360 No Scopes ways of war
Ooga's complete abject refusal to treat Jay with any sense of respect even as he's being teleported to the ends of the earth is some of the funniest shit.
Chimera: I don’t fear many things but that.
The Soviet tractor platoon:
Chimera: *visible sweats*
as a fan who lvoes the resistance games, its hard to takes this one serious
Yes! *YES!*
Feared by all who face it
I fear no man, but that… thing
Славная советская артиллерия
It scares me
“It’s like a slideshow of death” is an accurate statement
Arma in a nutshell
I literally laughed at the idea that WW1 Russians fought the chimera with tractors and thats the only reason the Chimera stayed hidden in Russia for a decade before they broke out.
The Russians didn't lose until they ran out of tractors
When they ran out of tanks, they fought with tractors.
When they ran out of tractors, they fought with Knives.
When their knives broke, they fought with their bare hands and teeth...
The only thing they did not have was Time.
@@houndoftexas5723 kinda dope
Not just one decade. The chimera landed in 1908, and broke out of russia in the 50s
@@ThePizzaGoblin yes I am well aware of this fact. The decade part was in reference to the intro cutscene of game 1 and the part they mentioned about the Chimera staying sealed inside Russia and then breaking out in a mass attack that overwhelmed all of Europe. Then burrowing under the English Channel to get at England.
It didn't take a decade for the Chimera to begin their dirty work; it took them a decade to leave Russia after they trounced the Russians
@@starlightdragon2665 ah OK. Thanks for the info
Masscharging an Alien APC, only armed with an empty SVT is one of the most stupid things I have done in Ignis. So far.
Also 41 gun salute for our heroic tractor driver.
Yeah that tracks for an Ignis Member tbh o7
God this one was a clusterfuck of an operation, literally entire trunkfuls of people dying before they could bail.
content at its finest :) *distant screams ensue* content....
I'd loved the Resistance: Fall of Man games they were so fun to play and the lore/story was just as good. It's one of those types of games that rarely gets mention unlike Halo or Call of Duty but once you play it you fall in love with it.
Indeed
I....I thought I was alone in this. I loved the lore behind it all and the games.
@@dasji2 and now its dead, resistance 3 was not nearly as good as 2 or fall of man was
@@dasji2 You are never alone my friend. I'd love both the games and lore as well, just wish they made more of it tho.
I still remember mowing Down those husk looking things in new york. I'd buy a ps5 if they did a trilogy remake of those games lol
I love how during a pitched battle, Jay sprinted over to steal *alien hubcaps*
gotta get dem hubcaps man
They worth some money man amd the resistance has bills to pay
Must've been the Romanian platoon
Just some back story to Resistance: Fall of Man
In 1908, a meteor exploded over Tunkusga and a bunch of researchers sent there go missing. WWI still happens but the Tsar defeats the Bolsheviks. WWI ends but the European nations decide to unite in a political and economic union known as the European Trade Organization (ETO) to prevent another world war. Fearing outside forces like the ETO and revolutions for democracy, the Tsar closes Russia's borders and erects a literal wall between Russia and Europe.
In the late 1920s, Russia begins to notice that villages in remote regions like Siberia are abandoned with no signs of violence or of an evacuation. The Chimeran threat becomes known soon after and Russia fights them through the 1930s and early 1940s but lose badly due to the Chimera's technology with the Russian population getting infected with a virus that turns humans into more Chimera.
Europe in the meantime enjoys a period of prosperity but is wondering why Russia is slowing becoming more silent over the years and not just because of the wall put up by the Tsar. Their intelligence agencies also finds evidence of abandoned villages but also notice entire cities abandoned too. But severe winter storms that originate from Russia stop them from really figuring out what's going on.
In December 1949, with millions of converted humans at their disposal, the Chimera invade Europe and steamroll the ETOs armies. By 1950, only Britain remains but the Chimera end up invading Britain too having dug under the English Channel. The surviving British remnants ask for help from the US in exchange for a secret weapon and the US agrees. However, the US had grown very isolationist since WWI so they had no idea what was really going on in Europe thinking they were having a pandemic and a Russian invasion. The game begins with the US going to Britain.
This is obviously a parallel universe where the Soviet union exists and in fact defeats the chimera through the power of communism and tractors saving the world.
I was wondering something. In the Resistance games America seemed to have some advanced tech such as their tanks and VTOLS and even their standard weapons. But in this op they seem to be using standard WW2 weapons and vehicles. So in the lore was Russia just normal while the U.S. had all that amazing tech? Or was it just for the video?
@@shotguntony4730 This video has standard WWII tech. It's just more funny like that.
In the Resistance games, because the world didn't want another world war, Europe sought for cooperation. That sense brought on scientific and engineering collaboration which led to all those technological leaps. Not wanting to be outdone, the US also made giant leaps in tech to not only be better than Europe but also to reinforce their sense of isolationism.
In the words of President Noah Grace (who beat FDR in this timeline) after the development of atomic weapons, "Let it be known that American isolationism is not cowardice, but restraint."
As for Russia, they sort of got stuck in tech progress, but after the Chimera show up, they did their best to develop what they had, even as the country was consumed all around them.
Brotherhood, strength, and fortitude... in the face of the angry night.
As a Russian person, I say it's true. The history teacher will confirm.

Da 👍🏻😬
Can confirm
Звучит убедительно, но что-то мне подсказывает что это наглый ПИЗДЁЖ
@@n1kko831 actually during operation red odessa, soviet forces having trouble breaking through southern line that are defended by romanian, however they came across tractor factory with 30-40 tractor intact, thus they decided to craft a makeshift tank out of them armed with 4 machine gun, this turned out to be massive success since romanian panic and retreats once they saw those “tank”
I would love to see more ops in this universe it was very enjoyable to watch and brought back my childhood memories of the Resistance Games thanks Raptor it was an amazing watch
Listen up friend... we are going to hell... we are going to fight against monster who come from Tunguska. The same monsters who wiped up field armies and eat lives our own cities... Remember. NO MERCY. NO RENDITION... AND _SAVE THE LAST BULLET FOR YOU_
Actually, in the Resistance universe, the Bolsheviks were defeated by the Tsar and the Soviet Union never existed. Just a little fun trivia for you all!
If they DID end up existing later, let me know, my Resistance knowledge isn't very complete.
literally every country consumed by the Chimera will disagree with you

So the Good Ending of Russia?
7:25 I think that's the most fluid death animation I've ever seen ARMA pull off!
Rubixraptor: "tenth of a centimeter of steel"
Me: a milimeter
You know the war is won when the tractors come out of the factory
Ngl, “slideshow of death” is one of the most creative names for lag that I’ve heard of
I only know about this franchise thanks to idly stumbling across a Templin Institute video like a year ago, so it's neat seeing this op with a bit of background knowledge. Combine that with the trademark Ignis stupidity and wild swings between total crippling incompetence and horrifying effectiveness and this video was wildly entertaining.
"The tractors have gone rogue" is a sentence I never thought I'd hear today. Also, who was the madlad abomination running around with Kirby's face?
ah yes the op where i learned nearly at the end that teamspeak decided to silence me
I'm so happy someone finally did a Resistance op. You should totally do another op based on the first mission of Fall of Man, where the US Army Rangers are deployed to York.
3:20
No! Don’t go that way! No no there’s enemy out there!
Don’t go anywhere!
*screams a final scream*
War is hell
I would love to see another OP Set in the Resistance world.
0:33 That tractor just Palpatined into the Chimera.
Man this video takes on a surreal existence in current day international events
sweet ever loving sin i haven't seen a single resistance related thing in years, i remember playing that shit when i was yonger with my two brothers i was so obsessed the series. thank you for bringing back the memory's man
Utilizing one of the Soviet's most well known tactics: suicidal charges, Ignis Corp actually defeated the Chimera incursion.
You have made Comrade Stalin proud! Cheers to the tractor platoon.
How fluid the motions were at 4:29 amaze me.
Oh boy, the stuff they can do with Resistance universe. There are some GIANT chimera mechs to ruin your day and the boogymen: The Cloven.
You get a wooden thing that throws metal.
They get a super centralized flashlight.
Your only upside?
You get a warm trenchcoat while they are naked... And it's winter.
The Chimera virus raises their internal temperature quite a bit, to the point that they couldn't operate in warmer biomes initially due to Chimer bodies overheating. Once they solved that problem, humanity was truly fucked.
Point is, those naked aliens are nice and warm.
2:22
"Michael! What are you doing, we hace to escape¡"
"Calm down trevor, im Just trying too see a alien"
The video is never complete until Jay screams about Cypher.
2:01 Rubix: *domes chimera in head* Chimera: *pulls out uno reverse card*
watching this video give back memories when i played Resistance: retribution in my PsP... those where some good old times.
thanks for the video bro, i hope i can see more of this mod.
2:08 "why are we artillerying our own assault??" "you haven't been in the soviet army for long have you comerade..." GOLD
I would love to watch more Fall of Man stuff.
I wanna see another Resistance op but this time set during the Invasion of New York
Precision Soviet Engineering at its finest.
Resistance fall of man was one of my favorite games. It was like a edge of your seat fps that never got boring. Honestly put alot of hours into that series and it was one of the best I've played
I was watching Canadian Beans airsoft videos when your video uploaded, What a great surprise. Great video Rubix Raptor!
Que gran video siempre he sido fan de resistance y que lo recrees de manera cómica y entretenida a la vez que con algo de acción lo hace muy entretenido sigue haciendo buen contenido
3:15 Soldier disguising themselves as an alien.
God I miss the Resistance games. Resistance 2 was one of my favorite campaigns on the ps3 😭
I thought I was the last man who remembers those games
@@dasji2 they have Resistance 3 on the PS4 marketplace, but they're missing the first two so it just feels unobtainable to me at this point (I still have my copy of Resistance 1 & 2 but no PS3 unfortunately)
@@TheReidmeister96 I still have my Hard copies. I have a feeling there gonna be rare in a few more years. Still ahve my ps3.
@@dasji2 oh they definitely will be rare in a few years.
What I'd like to see is some stalkers from the resistance games make an appearence in one of these mods, would be great to see what Ignis corp do with em
Throw in some vtols and Goliaths and we'd have an actual reenactment of the games.
I’m so glad y’all did this I loved the Resistance games
what I love about resistance is that you can have the Chimera fight like any ww2 country and it would fit with the lore, totally want to see an op with the proper models. btw, are any of the games weapons programmed in? like the Bullseye
Currently sitting on by the fireplace with a mosin in my lap watching rubixraptor. What a life I'm living
ok, Transcendent Lore Goblin is probably my new fav phrase for someone that can Lore Gud
4:10 raptor it looks all clear here boys…
4:11 well shit
I did not expect to see an op based on an old but awesome ps3 game
I haven’t played the actual game but I believe the tractor platoon would have saved them.
7:39 love the random Halo reference.
"Why are we artillerying our own assault?"
It is to motivate our brave conscripts into getting to the enemy quicker, comrade!
Glorious Soviet tactics never fails!
Resistance Fall of Man is such nostalgia for me. Me and my friend use to play it on his PS3. so much fun though it has been while. I enjoy lore goblins. Helps me refresh my knowledge.
Dude more Resistance ops that was awesome!
Pilots in Resistance: Get shot down quickly by superior aircraft.
Pilots in RR's Resistance Games: Absolute fucking madlads that wind up saving the day several times over.
5:11 "Soviet tractor Summoning Ritual" that kills me
Cut to 3 months later and suddenly the tractor is a Russians worst enemy
2:04 that rust headshot noise always caught me
Imagine if you just ran around with a PTRS-41 blowing golf ball sized holes in some foul xenos.
YOU HAVE MADE MY DREAM COME TRUE WITH THIS THANK YOU
never thought i would see resistance again , thx guys for bringing good nostalgia back
man i need to see more of this setting, really takes me back lol
This video is hilarious because this would be perfect for a prequel to Fall of Man. Playing as the soviets getting absolutely massacred by the Chimera. People would fight back with just about anything they could find, including tractors.
rly needed a new raptor ARMA video today, ty and keep it up man! :)
1:04 who is that? I think I wanna meet them.
Ayo?
Same
Always consult with your local lore goblin not because they might provide insight to an op but to coerce them into the sunlight before they turn feral.
I loved resistance fall of man when I was younger and I used to play with my dad and this kinda brought back memories
I busted out laughing at the caption before I even watched the video
This video is underrated! It is great! we need more Resistance Base operations!!
it's like you tried to describe something to actual aliens and they do their beat to litterly recreate it off your vague descriptions but it's so good :D
AH I LOVE RESISTANCE AND YOUR CONTENT BRO ITS ALL AMAZING YOU GUYS SHOULD DO ANOTHER WITH THE OTHER RESISTANCE MOD
The irony of the tractors man
If only little vladdy watched this before he launched his little adventure
Just had a nice conversation with someone considering joining ignus :)
A little context to ze tractor incident with the alien APC it fucking magnetized to the vehicle and suicide bombed it saving us.
Nice my favorite game when I was a kid is having a revised with mods from other games.
When out of anti armor, Soviet combat manuals advise RKOing the enemy craft with your own craft.
Omg I just found out this is a thing thank so much
this was actually pretty fun and exhilarating
Literally just finished a Dynamic Operation with my Taskforce. Great Timing! Time for some humour and juicy chaos!
My favorite part of his videos are the howdy part
Immediately after I read the the title of the video, I agreed in complete confidence that this actually happened.
Part of me was kinda hoping this was the one Love Death and Robots episode XD
Love the resistance games, wish they would continue the games.
this is more like that RTS where u fought using WW2 soviet stuff vs aliens then resistance fall of man
0:35 Steam Workshop did me dirty :(
"Is that the end of it?"
"Yes, kill each other now."
You know you messed up when the tractor platoon comes in to the fight
Anyone have an idea what that muffled audio is around 0:10? I recognize it but can't put my finger on it and it's slowly driving me insane.
It's a song called "Somebody that I used to know", not sure which version though.

The Resistance fan in me questions how there are Soviets when the Russian Revolution was crushed.
But the other Resistance Fan in me wants to play this with a mod that makes them look more like Chimera
Let me know when you find the mod! The Resistance games are like those not mention classics of the early eras of a consoles starter games that are half decent.
@@dasji2 Oh definitely, one of the first non COD Shooters I played

Just wondering, what is the name of the mod seen at 0:41 i've been trying to look for it in the workshop to no avail.
I've been searching as well. No success yet.
Your next Resistance op should definitely be York. Could make for a cool air assault, and you can use Osprey models for their not-Ospreys.
I love that every new video someone always has a cursed face design . This videos was apparently Kirbys face stretched to fit a human head
