13 years ago today we lost a great guitarists/ even better person Robbin Crosby. This is why love this clip. The Ratt & Roll gang are at their best here. Look at all the smiles on their faces. They truly love what they are doing. Thanks for uploading a quality clip they are far and few. FYI any album with original members is gold. RIP Robbin
GNR were gaining popularity but didnt hit the big time until 1991 tho, they were still below all the other LA bands in 1988. But yeah Ratt kicks ass, they had sad, happy, sexy, thrashy songs, everything you need.
Ratt is one of my favourite bands. Unfortunately, they are absolutely not popular here in Russia, but when i bring Ratt albums to my friends, they say "oh, shit =) why we didn't hear anything about this band, they're fuckin' amazing" =) Yes, i agree that band was underrated. I think, that the biggest misteke of the producers that all albums from 84 to 90 have absolutely same sound. In late 80's their albums sound could be more modern.
Ratt is extremely underrated, and better than the extremely overrated Bon Jovi. What a shame it was for Ratt to open of Bon effen Jovi! its comical, unbelievable, ridiculous...I could go on, but no point. No offense to BJ fans.
As much as I will take RATT everytime over Bon Jovi, live Bon JOvi smoked RATT when I saw them. It was embarassing how much better live Bon Jovi was than RATT.
Is it just me or do they seem to give better performances when overseas? You hear comments from the band about how much appreciative and considerate the fans are. Also how much better the audience response is. It hurts when you throw the fans in your native country,"under the bus" or so they say! 😲😔 To this I say try living over there on a permanent basis! Especially nowadays being so close to China,North Korea and Russia. All 3 of these countries hate Americans!I dare you!!!🤨😤😡💥
bon jovi opened for ratt on their invasion of your privacy tour fall of 1985. i was in the 11th grade in rapid city central hs. great concert. never really heard of bon jovi before that concert. changed one year later with slippery when wet.
I think this one and "You're In Love" are my favorite Ratt tunes. Killer riffs, really rockin' songs. The early/mid 80s concerts of theirs were awesome...by the late 80s Pearcy was too much in love with delay effects processing for his vocals, he'd just go off and screech repeatedly, a lot, for no good reason, lol.
@AryanScot I saw Bon Jovi open for Ratt in Orlando In 1985 Invasion Of Your Pirvacy Tour. Bon Jovi still finding there groove. Hit it big next year with Slippery When Wet.
Bon Jovi opened up for Ratt in 1985 and Bon Jovi was selling tons of records because by this time The Guns N Roses, and Bon Jovi were the biggest bands. I totally agree with you Ratt was more rock n roll than Bon Jovi I like them both though. Also Ratt's songs were deep and real and they had a song for almost any mood an individual could be in. One more thing everyone of Ratts' song's kick's ass(I'm pretty sure you already know that Rattmaster).
Good clip,I've seen the longer one which I liked better. Why couldn't they have stayed on Stephen with his shirt off a little longer instead of switching over to Bon Jovi. I and other women were enjoying watching that. He was in good shape here!!! Love the song and sound here also. I bet this was a really good concert to go to. Why is it when bands go overseas they seem to give better concerts then they do in their native country. This is a "sticking point" with me. Also how the audience are the best and the fans are much more appreciative and considerate! Just needed to get that "off my chest". Does money factor into this at all? Do they make more money over there? It hurts when you throw the fans in your own country,"under the bus" like that!😔
they mite be doing as well as motley crue now if it was the full lineup...love all the 80s albums they did...every new rock act seems to have forgotten about showmanship
@IVatworky I feel the same way. We are on the same team, and there needs to be more ppl like us. Ive never met u, but I have a feeling that we could be buddies. Yes I did feel like u wrote to me out of love and concern. And that is very much appreciated. I subscribed to u cuz I do get good vibes abt u. You also have a great day. Maybe we will chat again, who knows? CIAO
Maybe the crowd call and response in Japan wasn’t the best idea….just sayin ahhchinweacion Love the japanese groupies in the white leather shirts. Hopefully someone in the band tasted some Japanese culture. What did the Japanese couple name their black baby? Shumshing Wong.
@IVatworky Didnt have enough space to finish, but I disagree with u abt BONJOVI being the hottest thing going for ONLY a year or two. They came to Michigan last year, and it was sold out in a matter of a couple hours. I was at that concert, and I dont think there would be one person that would say that they arent still the hottest thing going. Just my opinion of course.
wow, RATT opening for Bon Jovi, not a bad show. Though, bon jovi makes me cringe, new jersey was a fucking killer record. shame RATT had to open for them.
I thought I would die laughing when Pearcy took his shirt off. I mean, if ur gonna take ur shirt off, at least have something sexy to look at. Wouldve much rather seen Robbin Crosby take his shirt off. As far as BONJOVI opening for RATT, they mustve been doing them a favor.I love the old Ratt, but BONJOVI, cmon. Thats like apples and oranges, theres no comparison. Love ya Robbin. This world isnt the same without you. R.I.P. KING
@IVatworky Obviously I offended u, and for that I do apologize. You are right, I couldve worded it differently. And I also agree that words and posts are very powerful. I truthfully am not a mean spirited person. If anything, I have been accused of being too kind hearted. And Im glad that I am. Again, I do apologize. I will be more mindful of my comments from now on. What is so wierd is that Ive commented on all the mean comments. I sincerely do thank u for reminding me abt the power of words.
They are no Bon Jovi, but so aren’t a lot of copy cat groups, who like ratt were copying Van Halen, Bon Jovi, and other rock groups from the 70’s and 80’s ......
TheTrueFortress shame shame shame on him but I guess one has to be worst.. I like em all, even the modern releases....good as it gets. That's what RaTT is
Reach For The Sky, might be their weakest. But it still had good songs. Songs like "What's it gonna be" and "Bottom Line" are solid, and underrated. I mean fucking, the whole album is pretty under valued. If you really sit down and listen to it, you can tell the band was trying to find a new sound. It was just different. Everybody has their least favorite, but I think saying it was bad isn't fair.
Fantastic footage. (Warren was in his I-wanna-be-Joe-Perry stage. DeMartini is at his best when he's just himself.) Great to see Robbin (miss you, King). Juan and Stephen are always cool. And Blotz? Good drummer, but with the passing of the years, it's become ever-more obvious Mr. Blobby is a douchbag. As I write this, in early 2017, he's been ousted from the Ratt Partnership. Hopefully for good. The man is toxic to the Ratt stew. Anyway, yeah, thanks for posting this!
I disagree. Blotz has to deal with primma donna pricks like Pearcy and Demartini who get the royalties to live on as if the drummer meant nothing to the song so he gets no songwriting credit and he has to tour to survive, but they tour when pearcy says they do, or Warren the rich kid is done playing video games and gets off his couch. if Pearcy changes one word Ozzy style he suddenly is a "songwriter" and gets the credit. Bands and guitar players always shit on the drummers and treat them expendable even when their sound IS definable and makes the song. Ratt without big ol Blotz is a BS band. They use a dude who has a tiny girls kit like he's trying to prove something. Grow some balls dude and get some Toms and learn to play a KIT, not just a little trap set like these no testosterone drummers play today. Yes, I am a drummer so I can gripe if I want to
@@jlkbbk2003 Pearcy was a one of their main song writers, if not THE main writer. Not just changing words here and there. It was him and Robbin, mainly in the early years. Juan provided as well. Blotz never wrote, so it's his own fault. Also Beau Hill said Blotz was the most difficult to work with in studio. Something was always off with him. Hill said the other 4 guys were relatively easy to work with. The way I see it, Blotz was the toxic one. Maybe it was do to jealousy, not getting enough royalties. But hey, if you provide the least, then you get paid the least. He was a good drummer, but that's about it.
The 1989 Reach for the Sky tour was amazing, they were tight, had great sound, and a amazing set-list.
Warren with the cig in his mouth hahahha, fucking legend. The band was on fire here!!
Night1996Prowler he finished that thing too
RIP Robbin Crosby !! His song writing made RATT.
The lyrics to this one (and so many others) are just incredible.
And the guitar riffs sting 😎😉😎

Robb Ripper this really is my favorite UA-cam video, for the well stated reasons you describe.
RaTT. Primetime performance.
20 years ago? How time flies.
GNR were gaining popularity but didnt hit the big time until 1991 tho, they were still below all the other LA bands in 1988. But yeah Ratt kicks ass, they had sad, happy, sexy, thrashy songs, everything you need.
That's a well put statement about my favorite band.😎🚬🎸❤️
Rattmaster86 is so cool
I love japan this is one of the few good quality videos from ratt in the 80s out there
It really does pack a punch..RaTT forever GOD
The Ratt Gang at their peak.Looking good, playing great.
i was there.

Same here in Croatia.... they never heard of Ratt .... fuckin amazing band with killer songs....
Same problem I have faced in Pakistan........
This is one of the best Ratt performances ive seen, Stephen sounds good, the band sounds tight and they look like they're enjoying themselves.
Ratt!!!!! Its one of my favorite bands!!
Fabian Hurka yes, I listen to everything, but love RATT!!!
Still my favorite vid on UA-cam.
Pearcy and RaTT primetime

RIP King! Had he not gone down the road of no return.. well for most anyway.. Ratt could still be here today and kicking ass.

Me encanta como suena la batería.
@guy158 They did on the Invasion of Your Privacy tour when I saw 'em in Bethlehem, PA.

Alan Arruzzo, it doesn't get much better than this.

DeeJay Cleveland they're in Japan I think
DeeJay Cleveland oh I see, that would be cool. Don't think it's out there unfortunately
Only the full Bon Jovi set is available. The Ratt portion doesn't exist (as far as I know) outside of a couple songs.
theres nothing better to get drunk on saturday after a working week ... thanks ratt !
Too bad we dont have a whole ratt concert
Blake Johnson that would be nice!
RATT still sounds so relevant.
Great stuff
I was able to watch their whole rise from MTV to now.
Awesome😎🚬🎸🚬😎
It just doesn't exist. If it did, it would have popped up after 30 years. However the complete audio show is in my channel.
