- The preview of Unreal Engine 5.4 came out and it was BIG.
Epic announced new animation system called Motion Matching that comes with 500 AAA free animations, new Control Rig system, Brand new mode for Motion Graphics and a lot of other things.

Epic will upload it as a sample project with the release of UE 5.4

@@KartoonDevelopTips Actually, in one of the GDC presentations they noted that the animation package will come a couple months after the 5.4 release. Hey, thank you! Sorry, but I am not great with sequencer. But it's not suppose to act the same as state machines. Just do whatever you did until now but with motion matching insted of state machines and it should work

I don’t understand what kind of performance increase we can talk about if in version 5.3.2 City Sample, I had 50 - 40 fps, now in version 5.4 there are only 25 - 20 fps. And judging by the reviews of other people, in their projects they notice a drop in FPS by half. Do you know why this happened?

Hey, Epic said it will be released few months after 5.4
for me at least, 5.4 has much worse performance then 5.3 ( based on using the exact same project settings)
