    I finally tried the second recepie, it's soo yummy!!! I still like the first one the most, but the second one is definitely good too, I would suggest, if you want to serve more people then the second one, if it's just for two or three people then first one, because the seconds one can become a lot

    No okra in jambalaya! I know it’s your recipe but I live in Cajun country. Of course, they would run screaming into the bayou with the alligators if you told them you were putting tofu sausage in jambalaya. The recipe still looked really good!

    Great recipes. Quick question. Why did you clean the pan after frying the tofu sausage??

    • @jasminetigre625
      @jasminetigre625 4 роки тому +2

      I would think it's because the residue from the tofu would burn as the other vegetables try to cook.

    • @thedomesticgeek1
      @thedomesticgeek1  4 роки тому +2

      Jasmine is right. It burns easily so any bits left behind would get charred. If I was making this with traditional sausage, I wouldn’t clean the pan

    The paprika -no matter what kind - should be stirred in the hot oil while off the fire. So one needs to remove the skillet and add paprika - otherwise the paprika will get burned and it's extremely bitter.
    From Hungary - the country of paprika :)

    OH MY GOD OKRA????? IS THAT WHAT QUIABO IS CALLED IN ENGLISH???? I was 100% sure you guys didn't even know what quiabo was! It's very common in Brazilian cooking (cook it with tomatoes, you'll love it!) I am so so happy, I thought North Americans didn't even know this existed and now I hear it's part of traditional North American cooking? Yeesss!
    (btw if you want to learn how to say it in Brazilian Portuguese, it's "quiabo" = kee-*ah*-bo)
