Installing New Rigid D SS Pro Lights on My 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
Every once in a while we run into a rainy day where it just makes sense to work on an indoor project rather than head outdoors for an adventure. In this video, Steve will walk you through the install of his new Rigid D-SS Pro Lights that he purchased as an after market mod for his 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

Looks...OK. Few suggestions: (1) Put the wires inside a corrugated plastic harness tube. Its dirt cheap and looks professional.
    (2) Omit the cheap white wire holders--that glue is going to fail very quickly. Use cable ties.
    (3) Stop using electrical tape. It leaves a mess, and it's hard to get a good seal. Use a rubber tape that stretches and only sticks to itself (Wal Mart).
    (4) You might have just inserted the light mounting bolts the other way--head down. No nut sticking out. You'd still need to cut them off.
    That's my two cents!

Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't have any of the plastic harness tube on hand at the time but will pick some up and make the change. So far those wire holders are doing just fine. I had them on hand and decided to use them. I've been using electrical tape for decades and never had an issue, so I'll keep using it. The bolt is a carriage bolt and couldn't be inserted in the way you mentioned because only the top side part had the corresponding square cut to hold the head from turning. It wouldn't work any other way... I thought about that too. :-) Thanks for taking the time to comment and for checking out our video!

They are ZROADZ Z364941 A Pillar Lower Pod Style LED Mounts. They are available at Quadratec. Thanks for checking out our video!

Hey! just fyi the bracket that attaches to the pod lights are backwards. It works both ways but it sticks out higher when you have it that way! :)

Yes, they could work both ways, so they're not really backwards. However, it seems to reflect the light off the hood less when the lights are farther out, like how they ended up. Also, from the drivers seat, they obstruct my field of view less since they are behind the A pillar. You're right, they work both ways. Thanks for checking out our video!

Hi, couldn’t you just splice the wiring for the two led pods together and just have two wires one positive and one negative to connect to the aux switch you choose? That would eliminate the relay and all the extra wiring from the harness. Isn’t that the purpose of the factory aux switches? Seems like overkill if the factory aux switches are already wired with fuses & relays etc.

The harness was included, so I used it. Less hassle that way. I realize it was redundant. Thanks for checking out our video!

I wired them into one of the factory switches in the dash. I believe it was switch 3. Thanks for checking out our video!
