    I have watch quite a few of your videos, and cant deny your political bias. The market wharf was condemned because plane are afoot to raise staborek market above flood stage, the rebuild of the wharf was slated for after that completion, to. Suggest the apnu govt was going to build condimums here is ridiculous, I also hear your tunnel comment to Vreed en hoop, that is ridiculous, guess you don't know much about the geography of guyana.

    A boardwalk would have been a stupid idea. The PNC and their opposition associates have been controlling Georgetown as long as we know it. The Mayor and city council are a waste of time. No one should blame central government for their misgivings.

      But the Same boardwalk in Miami and Fort Lauderdale and Chicago and New York and Singapore is a brilliant idea. Make it make sense.

    Wow iam Glad you didn't get hurt. I remember your recent video you were talking about that place and I remember thinking in the back of my mind about how bad that place looked.
    Do you think it was natural or foul play?
    Anyway I keep saying that every part of the world have " River Walks " even Dubai and Las Vegas have river walks in the middle of the desert 😂.
    Anyway this is a blessing in disguise. Condemn that whole ship yard and move it elsewhere so guyana can make the river front into a cruise terminal and tourist place.

      That’s not true. They planned and created the Sovereign Wealth Fund and set up the accounts in the federal reserve bank of New York. The pppc is now changing the law meant to protect that fund so that they can withdraw more money and deplete our wealth. Just because you support them does not mean that the opposition did nothing. That is lies and the people of Guyana want the truth and the best policy regardless of which political party does it.

    For the bord walk to work you need to build over the whole market and they need to move all the venders outside the market

      The the boardwalk would be built along the river bank. The vendor would be moved into multistory malls built along water street replacing the markets.

      That’s what I said in this video. The coalition government planned to build shopping malls along the river bank to house these vendors. Those plans were canceled by the current government in order to build the Kingston Seawall Esplanade.

  • @oralcummings4850

    Yes,Stabroek market not only the wharf should have been properly maintained but that board walk plan would have been a disaster especially for vendors and other business owners.Alternatve spaces for them would be impossible.Removing John Fernandes wharf,the busiest port in Guyana,where vibrant import and export trade is conducted would disrupt distribution of goods.Those high rise apartments would be white elephants and a waste of money.Guyanese will not afford to live or dine there.Monies were well spent on the kingston/seawall walkway with no one being affected since that was a stretch with no bustle.At least business is being conducted there and it is an attractive hang out spot than before.
    All the authorities have to do is to spruce up that Demerara river water front by keeping it clean.Breaking down and replacing with high rises us unnecessary.

      The present PPPC government has been in office for about 4 years. That collapse part of stabroek market has been like that for over 25 years. Plus, it is the mayor and city council of Georgetown job to fixed the markets in Georgetown. Least you forgot, it is the PNCR/APNU mayor and city council that governs Georgetown because they were elected to do so, continuously, for over the last 60 years. Maybe, you love how the PNCR/APNU mayor and city council of Georgetown is keeping “Le Repentir” cemetery in Georgetown.

    • @RaphaelNation
      @RaphaelNation  29 днів тому +1

      @josephwinslow7613 the present pppc government has been in power since 1992. They neglected the city of Georgetown to the point where it was covered with garbage on the streets while they constructed Mansions for themselves in Pradoville. The coalition took over in 2015 and cleaned up the city, signed the contract with ExxonMobil and started the sovereign wealth fund.
      The pppc opposition overthrew the coalition government in an illegal no confidence vote after 2 years and campaigned on lies against the oil contract to regain power in 2020. They have been draining the sovereign wealth fund since then and abandoning the plans of the coalition. Those are the facts.
