Really liking your videos. Just the right amount of meticulousness/OCD.

Very tidy details. Tastefully done without over chroming. Very nice.

The steering box actually shouldn't have gear oil. It originally had a much thicker oil in it. There is quite a thread on The Samba about this. The common name for the recommended oil/grease is "Corn Head" grease. It's commonly used on some sort of corn harvesting machine.

Interesting. I good friend of mine packs his with grease. Standard axle grease.

@@sampatterson4219 yeah, also helps if the box is a bit worn too. Takes up a tiny bit of excess lash I guess.

Love your build. Any tips on teaming the torsion bushings? I have a 58 Beetle with the original replacement bushings. Just want to do it right

I love this build. Best in VW world right now!
What is "copper slip"? I'm in the USA and we don't call anything that. Are you just meaning it's a copper grease or copper anti-seize?
I'm kind of surprised you're running braided brake lines with no disc brakes and you aren't going to run a steering dampener. Obviously it's not a stock build, why not make some of those basic safety upgrades as well?

Hey Josh. That's high praise indeed. Thank you.
Yeah copper slip is copper grease. That idea was passed on tome by a master show car builder- Evil Ben, here in the UK.
Steering damper and disc brakes would be a very good safety upgrade for sure. It's kind of weird, but here in the UK, in this little part of the scene cars are kept as stock as possible mechanically, excluding suspension. Not very sensible I agree.
I'm currently upgrading my Bus motor and I'm definitely putting discs on the front of that. 100%. Hahahahaha.
