Honestly, the Ghost Ship missions would have been much cooler if it ended up with Delta Squad organizing a desperate defense against the Trandoshan mercenaries and the seps with the remaining surviving crew of the ship.
Yeah that’s the one thing I’ve always wondered about with the ship, organizing defense and counter attack driving the Franco’s off the ship, then assisting with bringing the guns online and holding the hangers.
I love the bit at 0:40 where the dramatic music kicks in and we see the 3 clones guarding the main door get completely taken by surprise and eliminated in a matter of seconds, but then the rest of the clones are alert and actually put in a great effort to push back against the assault. It's stuff like this that really makes these situations believable and while I love the lonely ghost ship atmosphere it could of been way better with the idea of survival along with other clones from the ship crew.
I think this version is more realistic, since it is unlikely that droids and trandoshans could kill almost all the clones, and there were 16,000 of them. Сool mod
Reminds me of the good ol days of Halo CE of gathering up and protecting your weaker but bombastic marine bros and getting rewarded with amazing fights with your brothers in arms backing you up. I love this mod project so far.

I love how the use of various voicelines creatively but accurately reflects the situation. Specifically at about 2:07 Having the Clone go "Hostiles have broken our lines!" and then a second later the scream right as he forgot to watch those wrist rockets is perfect
Love this stuff man, especially the details of the clone ordering the other clones to patrol the hallway using vanilla animations. You clearly have a good eye for detail and care about your implantation of the clones besides just throwing them into the level. Cannot wait to see more :)
Back in the day this was a serious missed opportunity. This mission could've even been more legendary. Instead in the actual mission we find 2 rooms with everyone dead :(
wathcing you make the clones fight together and alongside each other is just really cool. might be interesting to see what else you can get them to do, perhaps storm the droid factory?

Not gonna lie, this comment got me good haha. Your idea was actually a key goal of mines for stepping up the clones' presence in-game. I am looking for ways to get around a couple issues concerning their audio but hopefully things get better by the next shitmod, delta 👍
@@shitmodz_axz9184 I suggest you use audios from the battlefront games, you'd have a decent variety and nostalgic charge. By the way, is it also possible to destroy the droid pods solely by shooting them in vanilla game ?
@@yproject8794 already on it commando, got like a whole archive going on. Also, weirdly enough, yes. You can pretty much destroy the dispenser with just blaster bolts even in the vanilla version of the game.

I like this mod. I still think the original game is perfect without all these extra clone troopers, but I do feel it could have done with some more of them here and there. It looks very fun, though. I feel if you don't chunk up the areas they're in with too many clones and be more strategic with their placement, it could very well pass off as if it was in the original game. Just seeing the extra clones walking around and standing guard on the Bridge of the Prosecutor makes the whole place feel safe and secure and cosy, and then the Trando Mercs come in and take out the guards. It's just plain awesome. If I ever get Republic Commando for the PC, I'm getting this mod right as it finishes downloading. Also, you do know you can aim down sights in this game, right? Not to sound snooty if you do, but it's generally much more accurate with your main blaster.

Were you always able to destroy these droid dispensers with brute force?! 2:41 Initially I was really confused by you unloading all your anti-armor shots on it.
Surprisingly, yes! I didn't realize it at first but during the mod tests the dispensers would go bust after tanking too many stray blaster rounds. I jus used the anti-armor to expedite that process to keep the showcase short and sweet 👌
I mean, you can blow them up with the walker cannon in the original! So I think they do have a health bar but it’s so high you don’t know how long it will take to kill it.

Use to play this game . And try and save all the clones I could. I manage to save 7 of the clones . The 2 that die to the land mine . U can just stun them . And the 4 in the hallway with the turrets and the one clone fighting the trandoshan . But I always wish they could follow me or in bosses words " wish commandos weren't the only ones with bacta implants I could really use the help"

16000 is a war crew for transporting an army. It wouldn't have that at all times.
They had months to work through it. The fact that there still was clones alive was kind of a miracle.

Yesss, I loved that. Especially in Truth and Reconciliation where you get marines that are gods with plasma rifles.
Yep. Halo had friendly NPCs that were just right, most games either give you an invulnerable companion or useless weak NPCs with nothing in between

2:25 onwards is like an episode from the Clone Wars show
This makes sense to me because there’s several instances where you rescue clones on the ship in prior missions. They wouldn’t just vanish after that.

This is a great improvement the whole ship shouldn't just be abandoned, plus Clone Troopers aren't push overs.
I just imagine how badass this game updated would be, then I remember every mission after geonisis would cost $8.99+ apiece

Melee attacks are most effective to destroy them. You can stand still if the droids ignore you or do some donuts around the dispenser and knife it.
