New York's Central Park was inspired on Mexico's Parque Alameda Central. When poet William Cullen Bryant visited Mexico City, fell in love with Alameda Central Park and used it as reference for the creation of Central Park in New York.

Dan man, you are awesome. I'm from NYC but came to find my roots in mexico because my mom is Mexican. despite many friends and even family telling me that the country was bad. they spoke of a country they had never been too or have not seen in more than 20 years from being in the U.S.. when i came to mexico and traveled it changed my life. Mexico is not what it seems and i thank you for displaying that in your videos. once again thank you.

Again, as a proud Mexican citizen I just want to say thanks for your kind words. Mexico has a lot to offer and I'm sure you already realized that. Mexico is full of history and rich in culture that is reflected on its food, music, and traditions. I grew up in Mexico until I was 20 then I immigrated to United States. I believe that it helped me to appreciate and love my country even more. It hurts so much to heard negative comments about my country. Mexico is not perfect and has a lot of problems but I think Mexicans are working hard to bringing back the way it was before. Keep up the good job man and I'm glad that you are enjoying my home country. Saludos.

Also Chapultepec's park has a lot of secrets like aztec ruins (Moctezuma baths , Cincalco cave and one of the anciest trees in Mexico city (ahuehuete tree called "the sargent") Also in Chapultepec you can find a cultural center called "Casa del lago" ( lakes's house) here you can watch art movies and listen a classic music concert. Chapultepec has an audiorama , there you can read and hear relaxing music. Chapultepec has too a botanic garden , you can find exotic species from around the country. Also if you go to Chapultepec second section you can find an amusement park with roller coaster and more atractions. Into Chapultepec second section you can find another lake and in the middle of the lake you can find a beautiful restaurant. Yes . Chapultepec second sections has museums too like Museum of Natural History, Papalote and Technology Museum. chapultepec is so huge. You can't to know the whole park in one day, maybe you need one week or maybe one month to know every section. Good luck!

I'm very glad that I found your channel about 2 months ago, because you and EasySpanish have really showcased a side of Mexico that I didn't know existed. Just a year ago I was like most other Americans, dreaming of going to places like Paris, Dubai and NYC, but now places like Mexico City, Katowice Poland and São Paulo Brazil are on the top of my list. Places that typically are overlooked yet have so much to see and experience.

No todos son narcos y claro no todos son buenas personas pero algo que te puedo asegurar.....es que somos mas buenos que malos, y poco a poco estoy seguro de que mi pais se va a levantar y algun dia sera el mexico que alguna vez fue.

Wow Dan! Loved your video. Really moved me. Informed, intelligent people love beauty wherever it may come from, regardless of nationality or creed. This is what our ever smaller world needs. Let’s get to know and love every culture. Traditional media thrives on sensationalism, because they trust that will keep us pinned to our news channel or radio station, watching potato chips adds. Let’s change that. Blessings from MÉXICO.

Not only is there a castle but it is the only royal castle in all the Americas having been the home of Emperor of Mexico Maximiliano of Habsburg and his wife Carlota. He also ordered the construction of Avenida Paseo De La Reforma in his five years as Emperor. Nice, enjoyable and informative video.

Beautiful...

I'm happy fot you that this video went viral, I hope that the people watch every video you have because they all are amazing. I am from the border city of Juarez, I love your videos. I have been following it for three days, and I have watched it most of them. Thank you for doing this. I love the way that you and also Kinetic Kennons portray our country (I followed them for a year). I think that I am getting to know my country in a new way through your eyes. I received your Chapultepec video through FB and my students (I am a professor at a university) are excited and more this two weeks of vacation time (official) in our country. So it was good timing (vacation time, elections and everything). I have noticed that some historical things you do not know about our city, and I smile that you show things that are very important for our history and that you just say (it is cool, somebody knows something about it), still even if you do not know, you have a good feeling that those things are important. (like in the Chapultepec you show Maria Morelos statue, very important Independence leader) and so on. Well, you do not need to know every historical corner, I think that the way you show it, without knowing everything, but appreciating it, is the way that people are going to respond to you here in Mexico. You are a lovely foreigner that appreciates our country even that does not know everything about our country, but also if you have the chance to have people that tell you the historical importance, that will be cool also. Take care you and the girl that travels with you
