- Part 4 of the build series - Hasegawa 1/72 Regult (Standard Type) from the anime Macross. This video covers the final assembly with decals, panel lining and completion of the LED wiring. I ask myself why I put myself through the lighting madness and reveal the finished kit.

Interesting. The engine pods are different to the IMAI kit. The IMAI engine exhausts are much squarer. This seems to have been changed to a round exhaust in the Bandai moulds. I'm still working on a 1/48th VF-1J with lighting. I found some flickering blue LEDs that make the engines look great. Great work! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. That's interesting about the differences between the IMAI and Bandai interpretations of the Regult. I might have to keep an eye out for the IMAI kit in the second hand market.
@ncc17701a The old Arii Regult's engine pods are square as well.
Great attention to detail. Now only if we can develop a simple and low key way to wire the leds to a powered timer so it would kick on every evening. Anything that's battery powered and I have to switch on will be used once then never again.
