Machine Maintenance Monday - 3 Rust Prevention Tips for the Workshop

@sarahrosewoods Instagram asked me if I could come up with a few tips for surviving winter in the workshop to put under the #MachineMaintenanceMonday tag.
As I live in the damp climate of the UK, rust prevention is a constant issue, so here are a few tips to help keep moisture at bay.

wd 40 NO Silicone no you want woodworkers wax or a dry spray lube or the oils and silicone will mess up your ability to put finish on a project. www.wwgoa.com/video/how-to-lubricate-a-table-saw-000290/# I do not know what you have over the pond but this is what we do here.
Some surface rust use 0000 steel wool and wd40 to remove then clean it off then a wax or dry spray made for tools. but silicone never! Your finishes won't stick to your projects.
