Sure sounds like it ! Most '56s were upgraded to the 292 . The old 272 stayed in trucks thru 1957. I believe the 312 was only in Fairlanes. Nice car he has.

The video didn't pan wide enough to the right (glove box door), where the Y-block V8 emblem is located (provided this car has the 292 engine). For a Custom line trim level, it's unusual to see a factory optional push-button radio and clock, so these must been ordered as options by the original owner or was built at the factory this way.
