The beauty of these old bikes is they will never go out of date like modern bikes do , cool video I bet these pre 65 guys have a lot of fun on their old thumpers
Thank you for doing that. I see you walking all over everything with today's motorcycles. And when you went up there, you looked very similar to me in 1977 on a 1976 Honda STOCK 250 trials bike. It's so heavy 260pds/approx 125kg It pushes you all over the place. The suspension's not great, the powers OK. But man did I feel a lot better after watching you do that than what I see today? Cause I feel like, how in the world do they do that stuff today, with a bike about a 100 or so pounds lighter makes a huge difference. I'm not saying I'm as good as you. I was pretty good in my day, but it just gave me a better look at what reality is, if I was able to ride a bike today, I might feel a little bit better. Love what you do. I'm not saying anything other than, man, I wish I'd have had a lighter bike.
I remember competing a local trial a few years back and they had a classics class running the sportsman sections. Mick Grant (ex 1970's works Kawasaki road racer) was there (minus his moustache) riding his Ariel, his bike was trick AF, it was beautiful just like this one, he rode it brilliantly too. It was great to see and hear it thumping through the sections...
Great video, thank you! I know you read comments and i have an idea of a video I'd like to see you do... Entry level trials bikes and what theyre capable of in the hands of an expert level rider, so maybe early to mid 2000s 125 or 200 someone getting into the sport might be looking at.
I read every single one! I will try and get my hands on one. Although we are about to showcase a Montesa of an age. Which me and Ben Butterworth will be putting it through its paces no doubt!!
You say to share the video, but no-one else i know is into trials and are probably sick of me banging on about trials anyway way. Other wise i would. Nice job on the Brit shock, more classics and retro please.
@@TrialTube if there plentiful 😂. I’d love to see you attempt the Scottish six days next year I saw most off the riders I’m sure you’d be in the top ten.love your videos
my dad had an HT 5 Ariel, when he stopped riding trials back in the 60's he sold for the princely sum of five pounds, and kicked himself about it right until he passed away . bet the buggers riding it now though !!
Pre-65 my arse... in 1965 trials bike had road bike suspension, not modern internals.... I've ridden trials, enduro and been riding since I was 11 years old, I don't agree with modern modifications to 'Pre-65' Ha... bikes.... by the way, I'm 63...
Well, either do many folk….but to be competitive at the “Pre 65 Scottish” without all of this you won’t stand a chance. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

If they have a sell by date, it’s long since past. They are more modern than you think!

Thanks man and thank you for being a supporter of the channel!!
The way he's just flicking the back end around like its a 2024 model - must be a lot of time spent sorting that suspension. Great video Sir Danny 👍
He does and it ride amazing!
What a beautiful thing
It’s true it’s a monster
Great video, great bike. What more can be said.
Thank you sir!!!

A friend of my late father had an original Miller HT5, apparently he was offered a blank cheque to sell it back in the day and turned it down!
Wow, good memory! Shows real value!

It’s more about igniting the algorithm to promote the channel. Think like a computer 😉
I'm too analog to think like a computer.
@@jimspeed1388 fair enough!!!
i bet if you were to point at bits of one of sammy miller's GOV132s it would have been a case of home made, home made and home made. possibly.
Oh aye no doubt!
We need a garage tour
Hahaha the TrialTube garages are vast and a plenty. They are all our garages…TrialTube is a community!

Brilliant !!!
Thank you!!
Another banger!!
Thank you sir!!
tie breaks should be decided on a special test like they did back in the day.
Good idea!
Nice to see you back, when is the 315 RTL showing ?
Couple weeks!
Its a beast
No doubt!

Wow, this is a crazy thing to read! Sad to hear he is now riding a cloud but great to hear the memory!
What kind of shocks are those ?
I’m convinced there is far more r+d going in to old trials bikes than in the factories making new ones 😂😂😂😂
Chant wait to see the RTL 😎😎
Hahaha that’s the truth!!
Ariel made about 96 of these bikes of which about 250 still exist!
That didn’t make sense
@@TrialTube So many home built replicas about the numbers exceed what Ariel built, simple.
what was that hrc honda at the start of the vid that looked sick
That’s the rebuild of the 315/RTL (it was a teaser)
what happened to the pod cast
It’s coming back soon I have been working and we don’t get a lot of support on TrialTube so I have to make the videos when I can
What cc is it Danny
500cc

That’s why I call it a ‘Britshock’
