There were trams clanging all over Birmingham when I was a kid (dark blue and cream livery)...the Corporation spent a fortune digging up the rails and changing over to buses. What goes around comes around
Cycling would be more welcoming. I'm a student and I can't afford to catch a bus or tram. + the trams don't even pass my house. Thanks to this waste of money and waste of metal I can no longer cycle through the city centre to Millennuim Point because of the cycling bans now. I have to use public road either the A38 Queesway, or Moore Street Queenway. I swear soon as I can but a card I WILL buy a car to use only for Birmingham! It's really stupid there is no cycling support from the council for a city full of students who can't afford the luxury of trams or cars!!
I hate the trams in Birmingham now. Since this got built cycling has been banned travelling through here. The only way to cycle now is by public road shared with cars, or New Street (which is impossible to use in Xmas!) I would LOVE to get a car just for Birmingham. It's a very Anti-Cycle city compared to the rest of the country. Since the banning of the cycling thanks to this waste of money of a tram I want a car now more than ever. But sadly I don't have the money as I'm a student. It's very stupid the council does not improve it's cycling! So many students live in Birmingham, where owning a car or catching a tram is simply too much money! And with grants being cut only the rich will be able to afford this tram.
Trams are virtually silent and little can be heard above general street sounds, hence the music. I appreciate it is not everyones cup of tea but I try to use something sympathetic to the subject.

As far as I am aware you can still cycle in corporation street. As you come out of Bull street there is a cycling sight!. Check on my video.
The trams are the future of Birmingham in the city from Birmingham.not the busses.

Interesting video - shame about the cheesy music! What's wrong with the trams' own sounds?

Thanks for your response, Keith.
Agree totally, nice video ruined by the awful music.
