Vivitar Pro UHD 4K Video Camera Unboxing

- This great little camera, worked well except for the HDMI output to an external device for me. Rather than try and find a fix, I returned it. One alternative option was to remove the SD card and transfer the data to other devices for processing. Could not show 4K vids without the HDMI connection but they were good.
**SPOILER ALERT ** My target use case was as a 4K webcam. The HDMI connection rendered a red tinted distorted image. I could have replaced it but needed something to work immediately.

Man I was so dam peed off with this camcorder. I tried to charge it, but it would turn on. I tried to record it, but I wouldn't get a clean hdmi feed on the computer. And it would just stutter the whole time. Plus the playback volume was horrible. I liked that it had an external audio option. And a cold show mount. But dammit, thing wouldn't work. I tried the movo rx 10 and a lavalier mic. It might have been user error but i had ro send that thing back.
Great idea that could have been a winner with some solid quality control. Not charging is a deal breaker. Thankfully, mine charged but the HDMI out was bad. Actually tried a number of things to save it but ended up returning. The hunt for a budget 1080P or 4K webcam with HDMI out for my ATEM Mini Pro is in play. Will post if I find one.
How do you see the videos or pics you've taken?
Sorry I did not show that in the clip. The videos were good in color and brightness. Resolution did not seem comparable to my phone which is 1080. I could only see it on the camera screen since I could not transfer or project to my TV. Will make sure to include in future.

Mine never worked so I don’t know.
What cords do I need to charge the battery. I bought a microphone because I wanted to clog.
It;s been a while since I returned this but if I recall the cable provided helped charge it. Good luck on your log.
It was a micro USB type cable that came with the camera.
Warning do not clog or log with this camera 😞
I read the comments and didnt find specifics about the video quality. How was that?
Video looked good on the camera screen. I could not get it to connect to PC or TV without distortion and pink overlay. Did not look as crisp as my iPhone though.

The box said 4K though it did was not as good as my iphone camera. Unlikely it was truly 4k
How long can it record for til it stops ?
I recorded for 20 minutes thinking all was well. It would have gone longer. Played well on the camera screen. Just could not get it connected to monitor.
How is the stabalization?
Stabilization was not a listed feature. It did seem to do it either.
Every time I click media playback the screen goes black how can i fix it ?
Mine played back the video on the camera so I did not have that issue. However it seemed to me that it was not 4K and likely not 1080 either. I could not get it off the camera without a heavy pink overlay and so returned it. If you have an SD card inserted and it does not playback per the instructions, it may be defective.

Does It Have Wi - Fi?
( So Can Upload Video's To UA-cam?)
That or Bluetooth would have been sweet. Searched for both and could not find. Still looking for that ideal solution.
It tells you right on the packaging that it has Wi-Fi.
@@allanmahmod4264 wish it worked for me. May be I got a bad one. HDMI was fuzzy too. Did your wifi work to transfer videos?
@@GoWhereTheToesGo yes it did work. I initially tried transferring to my iphone but I only tried it once and that was hopeless. However, I then connected my iPad to it and it uploaded the videos fairly quick.
Is the night vision good?
Low light became grainy on the camera I had. So mine did not have good low light function.
I just bought it at Walmart. I need to record a video. How is the audio?
I could only listen directly from the camera and it seemed sensitive (good). Let us know if it works well for you.

You can see it at 4 minutes 25 seconds in the video. I returned the camera so cannot check. Hope that helps.

Would it better than my iPhone 14 pro
This video was made with an iPhone 13 which is not 4K. 4K should be better. Hard to tell on the small camera screen and I could not get it to connect to the large screens with wifi or cable without distortion. If it worked would have been a great cam for the price.
