"24 tone holes -- one for each of the clarinetist's fingers" ROFL!
Now, when I worked at a children's hospital when I was in high school, I worked with a little girl who only had only 19 fingers, but I've never worked with or seen any human with 24 working fingers!
I mean, they are not wrong lol
Saying rofl makes you sound like a clarinet
I don’t even have all 10
@@matthewmorrison7883 I never say ROFL as a clarinetist?
"Parents will often choose the clarinet on the left, as it produces the best tone: Silence."
This is only true if the child is not a brass player at heart.
This is hilarious, the brass player's urine part killed me
As a brass player, I feel relieved…
@@waynesteffen8459 must be payday 🤔
@@waynesteffen8459 Is that stringed bass or bass clarinet?
i'm not going to touch my clarinet ever again
@@chadbroski9438 I guess the video worked
I cannot possibly stress enough how much I desperately need this series to continue for various seasons!
Please, my good sire.
Make sure you subscribe to his channel and start watching his videos, all his videos if you have the free time. I seen about every video he has put out and I've learned a lot from them all!
@@d.schoepflin2247 Been subscribed for a while. Zero regrets!
This video hurt to watch. Seriously it caused me physical pain. Granted, that's only because I had hernia surgery today and it hurts to laugh. Well done! After your video about how trumpets are made, I knew this would be hilarious!
Had me in the first half, not gunna lie
@@TrentHamilton dang i was gonna say that
as a clarinetist, I can confirm all of this. though the urine protocol has changed, due to the fact that clarinetists are generally disgusted by the idea of a trumpet or any person who has ever handled one. this led to many lawsuits after many innocent clarinetists were thrown into a bout of blind rage at the very sight of the keys of any of these clarinets. after the lawsuits, only the urine of squids directly from the bottom of the ocean is used to douse the keys, and it is made for certain that these squids never came in contact with anybody in the family of a brass player
Nobodys talking about the “large breasted” 😂
Nope - but we ALL looked!!
Fr tho lol
Hold on, I thought us oboes were the ducks
if you want a cheaper clarinet just buy a cardboard tube and paint it clarinet colour and it will sound exactly the same
That's not how you make a clarinet, that's how you make a didgeridon't.
@@Metal-Possum i forgot the hole cutting step but so does the Chinese brands
This is a masterpiece.
Absolutely legendary. Can't wait to find out about all the other instruments now...it seems I've been misinformed for many years.
As a clarinetist, i really enjoyed watching. I'd always wanted to take a peek at the construction process of my favourite type of tube, without having to interact with the people making it! Now, that wish has been fulfilled!
It'd be really interesting to see how the other kinds of tubes are made, like the ones that hadn't yet discovered how drilling holes work. One can only hope!
I run “Clarinetists” the largest group of Clarinetists on the Internet (Facebook group of over 15k members). Love this video - hilarious!!!
You did it. You really did it. My band teacher thought this was the real deal. My entire class saw this. Utter legend.
That's awesome. What was the reaction?
@@TrentHamilton laughter for a good fifth of the period.
My sub teacher also played this at music class
this is art
I have been playing clarinet for seven years and yeah this checks out. Those dislikes are from those that think this video is fake
Can we get one about trombones? I saw a particularly good video about trombone manufacturing that would really benefit from your voiceover treatment.
YES, WE NEED THIS
I'm a clarinet player and I found this bust a gut funny. Great job Trent! 🤣😝
Absolute perfection, I would love a whole series with more instruments :D (cough cough saxophone cough cough)
As a trombonist who grew up with 3 clarinetist sisters.... I thank you... So much!
Glad I was on the toilet while watching this
What’s next, Violins?
I was going to do a video on how children are made, but perhaps that's a better idea.
@@TrentHamilton It is a far better idea. :)
Violas are more memeable
This video deserves 1 million views please
Saw this genuinely excited to learn about how clarinets are made, got brutally insulted instead, not sure how to feel about this.
Abscesses and lumps :D
Thanks, Trent! That made my day!🤣
the fact that the video is in 360p is perfect
As an oboist: Hilarious, but strangely, also informative!
I thought we had a truce… brass players really did me dirty on that one
0:00 - 0:12 -- Nice use of a clarinet with a double-reed and an oboe bell there!
I suspect we may instead be looking at a bassoon.
Pure poetry, Trent. One of your finest.
I need a saucy How It's Made for saxophone now.
Clarinet
These are just too good
Trent you are hilarious
I love the how it’s made videos
This guy either hates clarinet players, or is a clarinet player and I love how I can't tell.
Yes
Thank you! This is great!
Trent - you could make a living as a stand-up comic, NO sweat!!
I much prefer sitting down
@@TrentHamilton - you realise, mate, that your response proves my point?
:))
Very good!
This is hilarious and its not even April 1st 😂
more like this plz!
Engaging and informative! Excellent!
I didn't notice this was Trent until halfway through the video
"Large-Breasted Worker" Okay Trent 😄
Was just about to say the same thing 🤣
As a clarinet player this is exactly how it is made
The Clarinet is the Crazy Frog of instruments
I knew he was a brass player even before I checked out his channel
Trent you better be making more of these
My band teacher played this video in class. He didn’t realize it was fake until it said that the keys are put through a “rigorous 1950s education program”.
As a clarinet player I can confirm, we hate being around other people and the more insufferable the tone, the better
Do I make u uncomfortable?
@@ARealTaco considering you have my exact old profile picture from a couple years ago, quite possibly
@@gamingdragon2361 hehehehehehe
Also like it’s crazy the amount of people that have this profile pic
Woodwinds are fun to laugh at, but the Armenian duduk is a wonderful thing to hear.
As soon as I saw this.. I immediately shared it with a friend who plays firewoods
Great video!
At 0:15, "Squidward, you're on."
My teacher played this. Best day.
YOU MADE ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trent: You are fantastic. Here in the USA, the few sane people left have completely lost their sense of humor . Thanks for making me laugh.
Amazing...
Amen
Brilliant! 🤣
As a Clarinetist myself, I loved this lol
Interestingp
Man I was expecting a legitimate video, but I found this guy! I think I saw someone reacting to a video a video of his, it was hilarious!
I was going to complain about how you described how clarinetists play as “rubbing their fingers over the holes”, but that’d be a waste of breath.
Just like clarinet playing
As a clarinet player, this is 100% accurate
Well said, Trent! As a physicist, who practices musical acoustics, I can verify every one of your statements.
As soon as he talked about the ducks at the start, I knew it was
How its actually made
We need a trombone one next!!!!!😊
I feel this is more applicable to the Sop. Sax.
good gear
Now this, this is a trend. He’s not copying is making it live.
Okay I was so confused at first and thought it was legitimate and it’s so much better than I expected lmao
Bro I watched this thinking it was real and I've never been more confused until i went down to to comment section
The poor ducks :[
clarinet was the first instrument I ever had formal instruction on (school band, 5th grade). I sucked at it then, and every time I’ve tried it since. my mom wouldn’t let me go with drums like I wanted to, so I blame her for the suckage. 🙄
you gotta love seeing brass players hate on woodwinds. metal superiority!
Is this a horn?
Bro my teacher thought this was real and played this!
I had no idea this was how a clarinet was made....which one is the Double D key. I looked at that portion of the video where the keys were being made several times and was unable to tell?
IK AM CRYING TALENTED BRASS PLAYERS URINE
What's really funny, your video's auto-generated recommended followups are just about all about playing the clarinet, clarinet music, or selecting the best clarinet.
We need justice for those ducks! Killed for the sake of a clarinet
Not the urine 💀
"A worker removes the fingerprints because most clarinetists don't like getting that close to people" hit a little to close to home
A clarinetist would agree with this video tbh
It was really good how you told all the details on how to make a clarinet. Urine? Really?
I didn't realize this was the fucked up version lmao- even better
I play the clarinet and have watched how clarinets are made and i knew once it got to the urine part, this is wrong lol
May we Inform Squidward to all of this
I seriously was interested in seeing your video, about clarinet making. Little did I know that you did an expose on anas mortis (dead duck) 🦆 💀. Impressive scientific research 🧪
“ Satisfied that the tone is insufferable”. 😂🤣
I watched this thinking it was the actual process🙈
But you didn’t have to cut me off…
Squidward
"a vigorous 1950s education program to try and change their colour"
HOL' UP
Grind off its stump...
I'm a clarinetist :(
If you want a real cheap soprano saxophone just buy a party favor. 🤣
Uploaded 2 days before a new How It's Actually Made. Coincidance? I think not
