Did I just hear “TwoSetViola”? Lol
I heard that too hahahha
Lol
Yeaahh you not alone brooo 😂
Golden 막내97 :)
That will hurt x)
If there is a mantra for the brass family it is this: “We decide when you will hear the strings, by resting.”
Bah, strings have it easy. The Brass Family has been forcing singers to screech inhumanly loud and slightly off-key since 1650.
Epic
You could include the entire band if the brass are loud enough
A single trumpet can dominate over a hundred strings in an orchestra. No wonder they don't like us!
@@whatsacup6118 As a saxophone player, this is pretty accurate ... and we're supposed to be one of the louder instruments too.
The world war of musical instruments is getting more wild each day...The brass family has sent Trent to defend our honor! Well done :D
Labais Mārtiņ
You know there screwed when they see Trent hamilton
May the tuba be with you
we didn't exactly send trent
he did this out of his own accord
Don’t mess with the Trent.
"twosetviola"

I just got Rickrolled by Trent Hamilton.
the only person that can rick roll me without me caring
Wow
it's a nice surprise xD
To me the biggest problem with orchestras is there are too many strings attached.
Yeah I agree, they should knock it down a peg or two.
sir you've just made my day with this...
And with new (modern) instruments they are under high tension.
🤣🤣🤣
At least we dont make people go deaf 🤷♂️
This was a very respectful roasting. Let just the facts speak.
He roasted them with logic and facts.
Check mate!!!
for a sec I read your name as allen vizzutti
@@maxmeszaros9527 lol
@Just a random violin player i myself am a musician, but not a brass player. Which facts are "invalid", and why?
@Ryan M butthurt much?
"Oh and what are you gonna do with your 20 million dollar violin?"
"I'm gonna sit in a group of 20 or so violinists and it won't make a difference whatsoever"
This is honestly the biggest roast of them all
The price of bows never seems to get brought up. And they break! www.stamellstring.com/professional-violin-bows.html#10up
Usually the people in concert orchestras don't have super expensive instruments. It's pretty much only professional/prodigy soloists. Beginners can even get hundred dollar instruments.
Yeah. I am an adult performer in a community style orchestra. My violin was only $6k and $850 for the bow. About what you would expect for a college player.
@@AndrewStephensIndy Not to say, the constant rehairing of bows, and changing strings on the violin, as well as roisining the bow. I say this as a person who plays the trumpet as my main instrument, as well as the violin and piano rather tentatively.
@@AndrewStephensIndy Meanwhile, you can get an amazing, top notch trumpet (such as the Bach Stradivarius) that you can use for your entire professional solo jazz career for about $3k. So fair point, but violins are definitely more expensive.
As if 2020 wasn’t enough we have the war of instruments.
TwoSet Violin started this, shame
@@Elia-rm3lv Davie504too:)
He is now challenging the rappers and singers:)
Elia well they can’t just do skits, they need collaborations
theres a percussion channel too thats in it
yes, but i blame davie504.
The families of instruments are much like the Elements in Avatar: The Last Airbender
Percussion, like Earth, is strong, diverse, and has no illusions about what it is. There are no fancy tricks that makes percussion suddenly easier or better
Woodwinds, like Air, are focused on air. Nothing more to be said.
Strings, like Water, are focused on reciprocating motion and constantly blab about their "rich culture"
Brass, like Fire, is powerful, drawn fundamentally from how good you are at breathing, and while often perceived as bringing nothing but death and destruction, is actually full of beauty and life.
I like this analogy!
And strings is water, because they have the ability to play flowing gorgeous melodies, and also produce a rigid ice-like sound.
Btw, I play horn, just thought I'd add on.
In an orchestra i used to play, we called anyone who (in a way) mastered every instrument in one family as Avatar.
So this video is the Fire Nation attacking?

Wow, Trent just roasted TwoSet in four minutes harder than Davie tried to in however many videos lol
Davie has a language/culture disadvantage. His native language/culture is Italian so he has much less range of expression in English language/culture so that's expected. That said, it's all silly. Life would stink if all we had was one instrument because it's supposedly the "best". It's not the instrument but the music and player that matters.
Kimoto Davie has a clickbaiting and begging disadvantage.
Epic 69 LMAO joke likes
This is a brilliant reply, and I'm actually really enjoying the beef twoset is picking with other instruments because I can find and subscribe to more music-related channels like yours :D
I agree. This is all in fun, and opens people's eyes to other beautiful instruments.
Completely agree
I knew this would happen eventually. All of music UA-cam knows each other, it’s crazy lol

This may have been uploaded at 5:20 AM where I am but I’m not missing a Trent video
As a violinist, I think this is actually pretty funny. Davie just kept saying checkmate when Trent has clever roasts. And this is obviously satire, I know, which is why I’m laughing at this.
Davie's not a native English speaker. He should try speaking Italian with subtitles when he needs to be more expressive.
Kimoto he's clearly fully fluent with English.
#twosetviolin pls respond! this is gold
As a String player and newer brass player, this was hilarious.
@@Kimoto504 He kinda fakes a bit of his "weak English", he's actually pretty good at English but his accent any limited English is sort of his brand/persona
"Twosetviola"
"Viola sounds exactly the same!"
HAHAHA SACRILEGIOUS
the joke is that they are mediocre because twoset says that violas are basically not worth playing, unless you are banished to the viola section

I play Alto Sax and French Horn And Trying To Learn Cello, Brass is pretty difficult.
Damn you’re playing the two most beautiful instruments in the world! At least for me:)
@@astronomy_rizzled I mean, French Horn IS the most difficult brass instrument to master
Hanna that’s also the favourite instruments for Dvorak and me :)
Honestly I felt like by the end of the TwoSet video they actually proved why their own criticism of brass was invalid, bc they messed up every time they had to actually PLAY a brass part.
You don't need to be able to play a wind instrument to roast it.
2:05 I saw a brass player playing a violin piece.
“Caprice by a New Zealand composer, Niccolo Paganini.” Wow
*Nick Paganini
Good thing mediocre at best made the distinction. Niccolo stole Nick's caprice and moved it from the euphonium to the violin.

Trent this might be your greatest video. Love it 🤣
I now get the feeling that twoset “roasts” on purpose to actually highlight other instruments and for other musicians to be more known?
Idk...
That’s just what I’m feeling
That could be
That's obviously what they're doing. It's very effective tactic, because people will be more interested in drama then in simple recommendations and praises toward different channels/instruments. In the end it all only proves how splendid and diversed the music world is and TwoSet certainly doesn't mean to offend anybody. Note that compared are very interesting aspects in all those roasting.
Except Viola, which is just an Alto violin so meh, no difference but octaves.
@@niunia19991 Louder!
Nah, really the obvious reason twoset challenges (or any channel period) anybody is because it brings both channel new viewers, new subscribers, new sponsers. Etc. Etc. So basically, they do this to gain popularity. And its a win win on both sides whether or not they lose the "challenge". Its pretty cool. Same reason why food, marketing, video game, and product companies collaborate. Its to gain popularity.
Everybody must rally behind Trent Hamilton he will lead us in this war he is not the brass player we deserved but he is the hero we need
Now we only need Christopher Bill to make a video about the topic
Yes please, please
I've played violin since I was like 4-5 and up until highschool never played a brass instrument even though I wanted to. Started on trumpet on concert band. eventually joined marching band, got a tenor saxophone amd played in jazz band, then I switched to mellophone in marching band band and then french horn in concert band. I was still in orchestra and I switched to viola around 11th grade. senior year I also joined chorus. Now I'm starting college with viola as my principal so I can get my music ed degree and become a band teacher. I love all instruments but brass especially, there ar just so many cool ones out there
OMG really? So you basically know how to play all of them. Do you know how to play an oboe? :D I play all the instruments, one of them better, one of them worse, I did with a teacher only piano and clarinet then started to learn by my own. If you don't believe me you can check my channel :)

A lot of it has to do with modern manufacturing and design making today's brass instruments far better than what came before while the best vintage violins are in limited supply.

I have something you probably never heard of... The ocarina! It's a unique wind instrument that's been around for over 12,000 years, but I and many other people came to know the ocarina from Nintendo's Zelda games, more specifically Ocarina of Time. Ocarinas come in many different shapes and sizes, but one thing is common among all of them; The smaller the ocarina is, the higher the pitch of the sound, and vice versa (Bigger ocarina = lower pitch)

Although this guy is from NZ and I had an opportunity to hang out with a great Cricket Pitch Curator from NZ for a week a couple years back.
Hahaha, honestly love what twoset is doing cuz it makes other musicians come out to flex their instruments so we know all instruments are great 😂
💯
I get that but it was still kind of rude the way they did it, maybe instead of doing that SAME JOKE 10 times they could have done one where the Horn plays all the off beats or the tuba plays only whole notes or the trumpet just plays super high at a random moment. There are so many ways to roast the brass in a funny way without implying that we are useless. It just invalidates the need for brass which isn’t cool, as much as I love twister I didn’t think their “joke” was funny at all.
@@mckennawhitney4825 as it could be soothing, brass only bands exist. Bitish style brassbands however have no Trumpets or Horns though, but these where replaced by Cornets and Eb alto horns, it's also one of the few places i, as a Euphonium player can play in. The only other ensembles an Euph can play in are concert bands and Fanfare bands (some native bands with slightly differ3nt setup in Belgium/Netherlands) i also think it's kinda sad there's no place in an orchestra for euph other then solo's, but yeah we brass are FAR from useless at all. Think about what trent said, we can almost play anywhere and play almost any genre! Eat that violins 😉

You DO see strings outside of an orchestra sometimes, but they rename the instrument to pretend it's something completely different, like a fiddle or a string bass. I guess the players must be embarassed to be associated with the instrument otherwise!
