I never thought I would find someone who reads like I do. I have to re-read sentences all the time and I am a very slow reader I feel embarrassed. I am actually a literature girlie. I majored in it and LOVE it, but dont fall into the group with everyone else reading hundreds and listening to audiobooks at 2 times speed. I want so badly to create a reading journal but feel like it would a waste. I used to scrapbook with Creative Memories years ago and this feels like a way to do it again. I have had years where I have only read 2 books in the entire year. But I LOVED them. I also have a hard time finishing a book I can tell I dont like. It feels like a waste of my limited brain space. I could talk about this for hours. I am so glad I found you though! Thank you for shining a light on those of us that are in the reading community but might not be like all of the others.
i am SO HAPPY that you have found some comfort and a little bit of inspiration from my videos! you absolutely can create and keep a reading journal as a slow reader! with completing 2 books in a year, it just means that you will have a couple years of reading in one journal. How great is that, when you look back in one journal you can see 3-5 years of reading summarize for you! I say DO IT. also with reading 2 books in a year it makes finding a book of the year so much easier 😏😜 I have been very good at picking books and haven't really started any i didnt like. i am also VERY easy to please. i have a few unpopular opinions when it comes to reading. one being, i don't care if the writing is bad, if i like your books and vibes it gives out, i like your book :) I could also talk about this for hours LOL. So happy you found my channel and can relate! ☺️ ✨
Let that personality shine my friend! The internet is LUCKY to hear you chat away for this long, while putting together something you're passionate about. Could listen/ chat about books forever! Excited for our future reads ♥
eeekk love that you are along for the ride 💜 we have so many books to yet talk about and so many books we dont even know we will talk about, cannot wait 📚 💜 ✨
Yes! Slow reader here as well. I have the same issue with reading paragraphs and then having no clue what I just read, then needing to re-read them multiple times before it clicks. So I can go months before finishing a book. Reading out loud usually helps me focus better. I tried an audio book once for my book club (it is just my friend group and mainly an excuse to hang out once a month, so I don't feel pressured that I rarely finish the book), but that was a struggle as well. I've thought about trying to listen to the audio book as I read along, but haven't committed. Kind of like creating a reading journal. I love the idea of it, I love watching videos of people creating layouts, etc. But I've never committed because it didn't feel worth it with how I read. Very happy to have found your channel!
what helps me with reading and actually focusing on what i am reading, is to kind of lip read? LOL so my mouth moves with what i am reading but i am not reading out loud. listening to the audio book and reading along would probably help your focus and get better over time! make one! i was the same and thought that i didnt read enough to make one. but even if i finished one book a year, i would just have a reading journal that would last me years and that is perfectly ok ☺️ happy to have you here, i have another reading journal video coming out soon! ☺️ ✨
I'm also in camp trying to use the stuff I own and read the books I own right now, I love collecting but I do have all this stuff cuz I want to use it haha definitely a great goal and beautiful setup with all those stickers!
it is a great feeling to use your own stash and have a bunch of empty sticker sheets at the end of a setup or journaling session! I am actually doing pretty good at using my stash. i am also trying to use older ephemera and stickers that i have had for so long. it allows for such free journaling sessions with no pressure to just use stickers and stuff i wouldnt normally reach for first and that just feeds the motivation to keep going 😃 ✨ good luck with trying to use your stash too!!
I also don't usually rate under 3 stars unless it did something offensive. If I am not enjoying it then I am much more likely to DNF it. I don't usually pick up books I don't think I will like.
exactly! there are so many reviews and people to follow that you can get familiar with to know if you will like their recommendations or not. I am very good at picking books i know i will like 😊

Thank you so much!! Quarter 3 update is coming out the end of November!
I will absolutely do a flip through when it is all complete ☺️🫶🏼
Just come across your video and found your layouts really useful for me do to set-up a journal for my bookworm mother 😂😂
Yay!! So happy to hear 😊✨🥰
The best time that I’ve had making a journal is when I’m just changing up every spread to be whatever I want.
I totally agree!! It was so fun to not be confined to a certain theme, and just use my stickers whenever I wanted!
