- Greek folk Pontian music from the region of black sea.
Ελληνική παραδοσιακή μουσική από την περιοχή της μαύρης θάλασσας.
Χορός "πιτσάκ", ή "μαχαίρα". Αν και στον Πόντο επικρατούσε η ονομασία "μαχαίρα" ή "μαχαίρια", τα τελευταία χρόνια αναφέρεται αρκετές φορές ως πιτσάκ.
Dance "pitsak" or "mashera" (knifes). Even if at Pontos they used to call it "Mashera" "or Masheria" wich means knife in greek, people use to call it more "pitsak" the last years.

pitsak comes from turkish word bıçak.
+Ozan Bayrak I know my friend, but the basic word for knife in pontian, is
Masher, or masherin.
And this dance is called MASHERA, but because my grandparents were calling it alwas as PITSAK, probably due to the area they lived, for their memory I also named it like that !!!

My mothers parents are both from Sampsunta, my fathers dad is from kerasunta, and his mother from an area in greece called Volakas. But i learned pontian from my mothers parents because they live next to us !!!!
