  • Oranit Fahima was keeping the Sabbath when the barrages and shootings began. Her husband and son were in the synagogue when the neighbor arrived and informed her about the terrorists' intrusion. Despite it being the Sabbath, Ornit called her father, who told her about the terrorists at the police station and her missing sister. Oranit and her family, along with other worshipers, were trapped in their house for two days without power or food. She believed that if she didn't die at the hands of the terrorists, she would succumb to fear. Feeling helpless, she sought an opportunity to leave the city, even though the terrorists were still on the streets. On Monday, Oranit received a message that there was an opportunity to leave, so she fled with her family to Eilat in terrible fear. When she got there, she received the news that her sister had been murdered.
