Listening to this while I'm sick with a hundred degree fever and a sore throat that feels like hell and the only thing keeping me alive is the suspense of finishing this audiobook
i love this audio book! the acting was amazing! in the first audio book i read, it took me 2 hours to get through 9 minutes because the acting was monotone. here, the acting was amazing and i felt my heart racing during scenes of tension! the music was well-chosen because it helped display the emotions. the voice acting was amazing, i could picture the characters vividly. though reading julius caesar was for school, this audiobook transported me into the world of Ancient Rome. thank you for this!
Agree totally with your excellent comment....This Audiobook ... Doth bestride the narrow world like a collosus ... But seriously, it is beautifully acted and read.
Unjustly I believe, Shakespeare casts Cassius unfavourably as a the key conspirator of Caesar's death. Cassius was alarmed by Caesar's tendency to become an emperor if Rome, discarding the City State as a Republic. Brutus, on the other hand, comes off as a tragic hero misled by the cunning Cassius. I'd like to hear if I am right.
My favorite of Shakespeare's works by far, ever since I first read it in my AP Literature class. Thank you Ms. Clayton for introducing me to this masterpiece.
This is so helpful, thanks so much for making it. I have to read this for an assignment and following along in the book to an audio has assisted me so much!
