- They say you are what you eat. This applies to cows, too. Which is why Horizon Organic dairy farmer, Cody Turner is all about biodiversity. He plants a variety of grasses and legumes in the pasture at his family farm and carefully tends his soil to ensure it is full of nutrients. Turner also wants his cows to enjoy what they are eating. “They’ve got likes and dislikes,” he says. And they let him know by, well, mooing, of course. This crossed the line from sponsored content into being a commercial. It's a pretty good commercial, but that's not what I want to see. I'd rather have a mini documentary with a notice of the company at the beginning and end and no more than a reference or two within. This was an infomercial for Horizon Organics, with their name and logo throughout. I wouldn't be bothered at all if it had been titled and promoted as such. The sponsor of their video should be in the title. I don't like that I didn't know this was an ad until I watched it. I would have watched a video I knew was specifically about Horizon's organic dairy farmers, and I wouldn't have been left with feelings of a deceptive bait-and-switch.

I took a tour of a dairy farm in Melba, Idaho. Made me appreciate the amount of work it actually takes to get milk to our table.
I wanted a video about the science of soil not a puff piece for dairy. I'd ask for you to label your videos correctly, but I'm guessing the whole point is to hide the sponsored content in amongst the real stuff so that people don't know until after they've clicked and watched some of the video.

As an English teacher, I would give this an F. Why? 1. Piece fails to accomplish the original task assigned. 2. Title does not match content. 3. Reader believes this will be an informative piece when it is actually persuasive. 4. While filled with good, anecdotal primary evidence, that evidence fails to be backed by multiple unbiased, credible sources, which damages the author’s credibility w/the audience. 5. Piece fails to stay on original topic from beginning, middle, and end.
I work on things like this in my Eng. 12 class. Shame on you. Did you think your audience was so dense it wouldn’t notice the obvious agenda woven throughout the storyline? We watch you to learn things: unbiased, research-based information. While we can tolerate a somewhat biased content, you crossed the line. Please review the assignment’s directions and resubmit. Great example of why we need to fight big corporate farming. Smaller Family farms give us the best food sources out there. It must be protected. You can do your part by simply buying products from farms like these. If you support this please like. Simple..

Even though plowing the soil is what started civilization it will end it too. Too bad it is given a "wholesome" appeal in this video while in fact tillage is what is killing the soil. Take a look at permaculture if your really interested in a sustainable development of agriculture.

This actually is a good little video with a good story. I am really tempted to down vote though (which I never do) because the title promised something completely different... In this video titled "Explaining the Science of Soil" the science of soil was not explained at all, instead I got a little documentary about a farmer...

I just watched a "Great Big Story" video promoting CHILDREN IN DRAG. NO PEOPLE, WHEN ARE WE GOING TO NOT GIVE THIS TYPE OF SHIT OUR ATTENTION AND MONEY ANYMORE
Not only was this an ad (which you don't find out until watching it - and even then it looks like you've tried to do the bare minimum to stay legal by US standards and definitely illegal in the UK where I'm watching this), but you didn't even bother to explain the science of soil, which is what you roped all the viewers in on. If you want to make ads, fine - I get that you have to support the channel - but clearly state this at the start and actually put some effort into covering what you say you're going to in the title! This is a disgusting practice and really puts a black mark on your channel where now I need to question more how much of your content I can trust (which is a shame since you have some great content). If it keeps happening I'll be unsubscribing, as I'm sure many others will also.

I see you didnt show the part were the calf gets ripped from their mother, and she pines for weeks. Or the part were they shoot her in the back of the head, when she cant physically produce anymore, when shes only quarter the way though her life. Or the part were the calves is not allowed to move for months so their muscles dont develop. Or the calves gets shot in the back of the head.
Talking about grass taking in co2, how about you plant trees that take in far more than grass could,,, twightlight zone we live in, this this utter trash
what about the fact that cows take up a quarter of land world wide, their sh't causes dead zones in the ocean, and they use more water than we can afford. And the methane that comes from cows, what a joke

There were plenty of elder cows out there, and the calf, wbs, I was raised around non-organic milk farms and they didnt do that. Unless she was sick with MCD. You need to take a trip out of your apartment and visit a farm, with permission of course. And when it comes to land, there is plenty but you stay in the city.
