Of course, he cares. He cares about what everyone thinks.

Why doesn't he stop bringing it up then?

Paul seems like a decent enough guy, but if he wanted to make a sci-fi comedy starring Women so badly he should have just made an original movie. I don't think he would have gotten nearly as much hate if it wasn't called Ghostbusters.

I didn't care if it was an all female cast but I could not even get through the entire film because it was terrible.

Forget all the men bashing misandry of the Ghostbusters reboot. If done with comic timing it could have actually been funny (come on admit it, we all laugh at things we shouldn't laugh at). It was that from the advert alone you could see that it was a terribly movie. It was about as funny as a dose of Coronavirus in an old people's home. About as hilarious as a diagnosis of cancer. Chris Hemsworth as the Himbo secretary was funnier than the four Ghostbusters. Four seasoned SNL comedians and not one decent gag between them.

    Lovely guy. Awful film.
Probably the most ill conceived reboot in cinema history.

      It was so lazy.
It did seem like ANY effort went into it. What a disgrace that a soulless corporation like Sony would allow this clown to tarnish the legacy of Ghostbusters

Your movie is now double dead, Paul, because there are two official sequels to *_Ghostbusters_* and *_Ghostbusters II_* now.
Your film's universe is never coming back because it lost money, and Dan Aykroyd said on live TV that you're never coming back to Sony. He meant that shit!

remaking Ghostbusters with women in the lead roles was a huge mistake because it didn't have the target audience. For fans of the original film, such a remake could only anger them. It couldn’t attract the young male audience because guys aren’t interested in watching an action movie starring women. young female audiences are not interested in action films at all, much less those based on an old franchise for male audiences. this is obvious to anyone, but not to professionals from the Sony studio under the leadership of Amy Pascal.

      You know what's worse?
These Feminarcissists still haven't learned from 2016, now they are plotting to replace Jack Sparrow of the Pirates franchise by putting a chick in it and making her lame and gay.

probably the right attitude. I don't think without the controversy it would have been a hit, I don't think its a good film at all, but it had been a long time since a ghostbusters film came out and it felt for a bit there they went to war with their fans. They tried VERY hard to undo that last week or two before release.

Mr. Feig I am not against the female cast it shows equality the only problem I have with the film is that it just plane out stupid because it has so much problems and of course You’re overuse of CGI other than that I’m OK with the film

This is a bad movie hiding behind a label of 'female cast brought down by misogeny'. Which just makes me dislike it more- because it expects a pass because they were all girls... sorry but the slapstick stuff really sucked and it wasnt funny, thats the fundamental problem here.

No sleight on any of the fantastically hilarious cast of female comedians and actresses but the movie was an objectively badly written film! No offence to all who were apart of making it.

I think many thought the movie was Woke. Another men bashing movie. So tired of them. Not fair to all men. Would Hollywood like it if men starting to make women bashing movies?! They also should not have made it out of respect for the original films. As the old saying goes, “if it works don’t fix it”.

Mr. Feig, you should have every regret re: Ghostbusters 2016. You'd made great movies and shows before it. You need to own this failure, from preproduction right through editing.

Well the movie was one of the first, if not the first of this current trend of politically driven, anti-men, divide and conquer Hollyweird toxic waste. From this Ghostbusters reboot to Barbie, what an ugly journey.
