Despite almost insurmountable adversity, American bassist Michael Manring has always remained true to his vision of the bass as an extraordinarily rich musical instrument with infinite possibilities. This fortitude has led him to constantly innovate across a myriad of genres and styles, as well as radically rethinking his instrument to push these boundaries even further. It is hard not to see his odyssey and success as something heroic.
