Omg I now see the scar 🥺🥺🥺🙏🏼☦️🫶🏼I Hope you are ok Now John i Wish You That God Jesus Christ Gives you The best only !
shame you didn´t ask John about whether he´s heard of the infamous "Myung tackle" :D
Love John but wow 5 mins of talking about drinking water cmon man
27:33 This is clearly what we all have been waiting for...... And it came true, phenomenal 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Would love to watch a video of John Myung on the violin. After 10, 11 years he must have been quite good already.
Great interview. She was very informative. Lucky enough to see Jeff 4 times. 1st with SRV. An unforgettable night in late '89. We miss you Mr. Beck. RiP...
@@F1Slunk thanks for watching!
i think you asked very good, unexpected questions and bireli had alot of interesting stuff to say! thank you!
@@handdancin thanks for watching!
Great interview. I was at that Seattle show right after he hit his head. Other than the bandage, you couldn't tell a difference in his performance.
@@civgeek thank you and thanks for sharing this story :)
I met John and DT at a meet and greet back in 2004. Such a humble, down to earth guy. I think he realized how nervous I was! 😀 Great interview! - Brent, USA
@@brentheathersimons7042 thank you!
Love John ❤️and you get so calm only by listening to him🥰thank you so much for this🙏
H….2….O….no flow with out the other….oh wait, wrong band But in all seriousness, the interviewer kept pushing and asking John about his Eastern roots in South Korea which he basically didn’t have any. He’s as American and rock n roll as they come, which the interviewer seemed hard to understand.
Maybe, someway, somehow, she can keep that guitar hoarding Joe bonnamossa from buying any, maybe should just be auctioned to real fans, not a multi millionaire " white boy blues " guitarist... Piece of crap guitar hoarder Joe... I have a 1986 mij strat , I'll make that thing sound better than ANY of Joe's guitars... It's not the car, it's the driver sometime... Wanna buy that strat JB ... 10 grand for you , 1000 for anyone else.... I say our little hoarder keeps at least 8 of these gems out of other people's hands....
I've been seeing this band since they where Majesty. Most talking he's ever done
So typical Myung, just yapping and yapping on forever!
Great to finally see John opening up. He's a legend!!
Wait, what ? He's talking ?
@@gergelyboros8138 with a lot of interesting things to say 😎
Started Listening to DT in '92 when I&W was released, at the time I couldn't handle WD&DU, I could after I&W. In all those years hardly heard John speak. This interview is awesome. Thank you!
@@DoekmeisterD thank you!
I am a drummer and I really love this person as a person, he is super quiet and polite all the time and it really feels bad that he had this accident, MR. OCTOPUS, we need you forever. and thanks for all these years and this history that you made, highly appreciate your work and you r one of the reasons I love dream theater. Thank you.
interviewer just had to get political with his climate change crap. Stick to guitar talk.
@@doyouluvit it’s an interview, not an interrogation, we just follow the flow or what it seem to be more interesting for the people we host. Thanks for watching
Man made climate change does exist. They like to call it "stratospheric aerosol injection", I call it "chemtrailing" and it is 100% real. Humans with bad intent are changing our climate and it ain't to make it better for mankind. I would love to direct this interviewer to many documentaries on this subject. The fact is, there are people in power who want the population knocked down about 80%-90% of what we currently are. PURE EVIL! And ignorance is never gonna save the planet. Only open eyes will do that - It is called "The Great Awakening" and it is progressing. I feel sorry for those who don't see what is happening right in front of them. But, the meek shell inherit the Earth. D.T. ROCKS!
Too bad they mix him DOWN so LOW in a mix..
They really don’t mix him so low on the mix. A lot of what you hear in DTs sound is the bass! That thick guitar sound everyone hears is not all Petrucci. It’s Myung adding the body. I’m a bass player and I’d be thrilled with those mixes for my bass part!
@@leejwilson What I hear is RUMBLE... Zero note definition....Very Scooped sound that is a mess. ++++ Bass Guitar Mag: What is it with these sound men these days? Billy Sheehan: I know, I know. And being a bass player is notoriously tough when you are playing live. Unfortunately the bass is called a bass- but so are all low frequencies. The sound guy goes out in front, and you ask him, "Can you hear bass?" "Yeah. I can hear bass." He doesn't hear your bass guitar, but he hears some low-end rumble. I wish guitars were called trebles, because then guitarists would know exactly what we are talking about. " you hear treble?" Yeah I hear treble."
You have the wrong Washington in that picture when he's talking about crossing the US border. He's talking about the state of WA in the west coast. I was in the concert the day that happened, and he played the concert sitting down on a chair. That said, very cool to see this interview!
@@periclesrocha thanks for watching and thanks for the note as well! we made a mistake
I have no doubt the guys are probably extremely low on electrolytes, especially potassium too when they’re touring nonstop. They need to add good electrolytes supplements to their water.
He is so good really enjoy his playing D
@@gabewow he is indeed!
Wonderful Interview !!!! but regarding "climate change" (min 25 aprox) that's is just a political agenda = NWO an excuse to take control = totalitarian control, they don't really care about the planet or aout us as michael hackson already said !!! :) Nice interview anyway !!! like 280
John is great!
You just have to love this man!
This interview must have been recorded some time before October 2023, judging by the question about his relationship to Portnoy and Myung's response to it.

Such a humble and gentle man for such a nasty beast on the bass!! His playing makes me wish I was as a bass player instead of a drummer.
Drummer here, and I know the feeling very well! hahah
The friend down the street to whom he was referring is named Frank Gilcrest. He was a great drummer who still plays to this day.
Thanks for sharing this!
I think she is embellishing the truth a bit according to Beck he didn't play the oxblood LP only the Telegib guitar on Blow by Blow and maybe a Stratocaster.
I have always deeply admired his expansive musicianship. That is actually an understatement. His ability on so many instruments is astounding. Now I’ve heard this interviewer I’m amazed by his genuineness, his humanity and broad intelligence. Thank you for this interview and to Bereli I must say I am in total awe of all aspects of who you are.
@@lazdow9229 thank you for watching, happy you enjoyed it!
It’s so refreshing to hear intelligent questions asked and answered so perfectly. Interviewers often frustrate me by asking long meandering senseless questions and constantly interrupting the interviewee. This is interview is a masterclass in interviewing and a sterling example of the same. BRAVO!
0:28 So sad we lost Jeff Beck. I saw his last tour with Johnny Depp. Oct 8th 2022. They played about 18 more dates. Ive seen him at the ARMS concert and twice in 1995. His Anniversary in Heaven is in a few more days Jan 10th. RIP JEFF BECK. Someone pointed out JBs death was around Elvis Presley and Jimmy Page's BDay.
@@familydogg1234 2 year anniversary. The day after Jimmy Page's Bday & the day of Rod Stewart's Bday. David Bowie died on the 10th as well.
Something tells me that before she saw Jeff Beck’s guitar collection at the Auction House, she never heard of Jeff Beck. She read his Wiki page.
@@johnapplegate1289 that’s definitely not the case. We’re talking about a professional and whether she knew well or not Beck before the auction, it is clearly perceivable that she has a deep knowledge of what she’s talking about

She definitely is! We’re so happy to have her on our channel
What an amazing lady! A true professional, I'm sure Jeff was smiling on approvingly as she ran through her detailed list with ease.
Definitely! She’s been so kind and professional and we’re so happy that she found the time for this interview. Thanks for watching!
Heard the new Yardburst at a demo by Doug Aldridge , it was a bit meh compared to his gold top . Millionaires be queuing up for the Oxblood!!
That’s not only about the tone, that’s about the history as well, right? A bit unaffordable unfortunately lol
Maybe Kirk Hammett will buy Jeff's guitars and Gibson can charge $20,000 for a Kirk Hammett Jeff Beck Strat.
....with a replacement headstock from Gretsch.
They can keep it. I already have a beck signature start with the baseball bat neck. Love it!
Quite sad when an icons most beloved possessions cast to the four winds in the exploitation of popular interest as fuel for greed
He's dead baby. The money will be more useful for the family than a bunch of guitars they don't know how to play.
@ hell with legacy. Go for the money is all that matters in MAGA world. You can have it that way if you don’t have any values or substance of integrity. Greed is a poor virtue to pursue
I get the point, but instruments are made to be played, so it probably wouldn’t make much sense to keep them in a museum or in Beck’s relatives house. Not all the things in the catalogue are supposed to be in a showcase until the end of the world… Hopefully most of these will be played again in memory of this legend!
Sandra said Jeff absolutely wanted them out there getting used as they were meant to be.
