Why was this removed? Had to search frantically for this video and I'm so glad I found it. Not much of a cyclist myself, just think this is very well done.
Hi. We took the film down as Sebastian, the director, asked us to. We still really love the Randonneurs here at Pas Normal Studios. Glad to see them alive again.
I've been looking for this video for a long time, I had it saved for almost a year and it was one of my favorite videos to watch every day. This tape made me want to buy my first road bike, and I wanted to watch it again to enjoy it again, since I haven't been out on the bike in a while. Thank you very much for uploading this video again, I love it
This is one of the best, if not the best, cycling videos I have ever watched (Randonneurs II is also great). There is a compelling story, an incredible challenge and absolutely amazing cinematography. After watching this video I was actually inspired to go cycling in Denmark on a cycling holiday - and I must say I was not disappointed! I look forward to seeing more of your work Sebastian and getting inspired to push my own boundaries by watching others do so in such beautifully crafted videos :)
I watch this film and the second one before doing 1500km ultracycling, I mean i have done everything i could before the event (training, bike preparation etc) and still overthinking about what if what if ... Watching this remove all worries and i can enjoy the ridding more. Thanks for the film
Do not go gentle into that good night What a film, guys, you inspire me to go out and pedal for hours, days, with my buddie or solo, just be outhere with mi bike, with myself
The best series of road cycling videos I have ever seen. Not only for the shots, but for its exquisite visual quality and excellent use of sounds and tracks. It could easily be the video that defined my fanaticism for road cycling when I started and until now. greetings from lands of South America
Love this and the sequel. Not only is it well shot, and highly relatable (everything said in the films is something I've said or heard on a long ride) but also it's hilarious. I hope this becomes a long running series.
They didn’t really have much to do with it besides sponsoring clothes. The idea and production came from the crew and athletes. But we are definitely grateful for the platform they have provided, so we were able to reach all the right people!
I've tried my fair share of riding bikes through north and south of Europe, and I tell you one thing. The wind in Denmark is crazy, but the part in this film/ride where the boys do 300-400 KM in around 6-8 m/s headwind after they have already been doing 500km - that I still do not understand how they did it.
The beautiful photography and composition. The editing, music and fashion. Quirky European antics that are always fun to watch (I'm just your average American). Love everything about it. It doesn't feel like your average documentary. And it's an easy watch. Great work.
As I said on insta too, this short series is the best cycling film ever. You work so well with music, I think that’s the most important reason why I come back and watch it multiple times, not only is it a crazy ride the fact that these two athletes are riding such long distances in such short time. Your use of color, especially the piece in the dark with the red lights, so satisfying to watch. I’ve seen your dog sledding short film too, and the night shots are beautiful. Keep up with these masterpieces please! And I hope I can work/meet with you one day! (Also two mustaches? The best duo, super aerodynamic)
This video is such a great inspiration - just the mindset they show for such an awesome adventure! I just have to get suited up and jump on the bike!!!
To answer the question: the video is simply amazing and insipiring. Beatiful shots, nice storytelling and it combines themes of nature, going to ones limits and friendship. This is driving me to plan my own adventures. Love it. Thanks for the reupload!
I've been looking for this video.. one of my favourites. Thanks for putting it up again. Why is it important? = Such an inspiration to go in the saddle!
Haha, thanks man! It had 80k on another channel. This is 'just' a reupload of and 4 year old film, without any promotion behind it. So 3k is just fine I guess!
@@stephengarner4428 Thanks! Cannondale will soon go live with our newest project. 93 minute documentary in the same kind of vibe with the same funny boys. Stay tuned!
Hey! Thanks for reaching out about our next project. The film is done and ready to go but we are doing a festival run, so follow our channels to see if we hit a festival near you. The film hasn’t got a fixed date for when it’s going public, but we are looking into April 2025 before the road season starts. Sorry for the wait!
In the northern part of the globe we experience long days, due to some scientific stuff with the earth being a globe(not flat) which spins around another big flaming globe. In Denmark the sun sets at 22:00 ish and gets up at 04:00. If you go further north the sun never sets, also referred to as 'midnight sun'.
i come back to this and the sequel often. I don't know how or why but they really capture the suffering and joy of randonneuring ♥
This film basically made me buy my first road bike and ever since made me go out again and again.
It also made me spend way too much money on Pas Normal Studios :D
It's great to hear that you got your first road bike from this film. I did the same after filming it, haha.

Haha, I'm sorry to have you search frantically for it. I love that you watch it even though you aren't a cyclist yourself!

Glad to see this one is back. It was a classic story about cycling friendship and crazy fun adventures.

Sounds design, color grading, story telling, locations, all top shelf choices. Congratulations is all I can say, and thanks for sharing
Easily the best content from the PN studios. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

I suspected so since this is so much better. I was going crazy trying to find it again 😅 Amazing ride, I guess the winds in Denmark are brutal. 💀

This film (and the second one) is a great cycling motivator. Very well made! Thank you!!!

Fuck yes - that's the best reason.
After all I finally found this video, and now I’m really excited about how you eat an elephant!🐘🙏🏻
The team and I are also really looking forward to showing 'How to eat an elephant'. Stay tuned on Cannondales channels!
very good gents.
I cannot believe that this has only had 3k views

Hey man any idea when How to Eat an Elephant will drop from Cannondale? I thought it was meant to drop in July but evidently not haha. Thanks.

Very very interesting video, but I'm confused about the timing, because I'm from Indonesia, 😅 In Indonesia at 18.00 it will be completely dark
