      Good morning. We waited as you did and then realised we left the bed permanently made. It is great to have the extra storage.

    I’ve done something similar but I used slats from pallets I had lying around and kept the spacing between them using webbing. This solves the “sweating” problem Graham talked about. Each slat is rebated both ends so it sits down and is secure. Simply used the existing cushions etc on top. Job done. Zero cost.

      Hi Geoff. Sounds like you did really well with your fixed bed conversion. Free sounds pretty good too. Inspired idea using palette wood👍We decided on a mattress as our backs aren’t so good🤣. But we have kept all our cushions etc incase we ever sell Merlin. Did you decide to go for a fixed bed straight away, or did you wait a while? We waited and then realised we were always leaving the bed made up 🤣 thanks for watching 👍😊🧙‍♂️

    Another top vlog from you wizards, and I nearly choked on the fourth bed. I just didnt see it coming, any more than I did the closing shot with Graham's lower legs and feet. And thanks for the nod....

      Hi Adrian. We find the bed do comfortable. We are incredibly happy with it. I tend to think of it as an upgrade rather than a modification 😂😂. The downside is the mattress is quite heavy. Makes it a bit awkward when preparing for a Hab check etc. but overall it’s a big thumbs up 👍 🚐🧙‍♂️🙏👍

    • @Wizardinthewild
      @Wizardinthewild  3 роки тому

      Hi Stephen. I am 5’10”. The bed is just about fine for me. To be honest at your height I would think it’s not such a good idea. I know people of your height and above who found the CV40 to be unsuitable. However to answer your question this is the size in metric 135 x 190 x 26. I think you would need to go and see one at a showroom. Hope that helps even if it isn’t the answer you wanted. 👍🧙‍♂️
