He´s talking so much in the background, it´s very hard to recognize words of our guy talking!
@@Morpheus-pt3wq I have no trouble hearing him over Tech Jesus.
@@Star_Gazing_Coffee_Lover hearing him is one thing (i can hear him talking too). Understanding (especially if english isn´t your first language) is something else.
Da hair...unmistakable...👀
You are the first guy on yt or even whole web to deliver comprehensive, english spoken info about what I waited the most and googled since yesterday lol - news from Noctua. Thank you!
Caught you in the background of the Gamers Nexus Noctua video 😂
That power supply looks sick
Would pre-order the NH-D15 G2 if I could! 😄 Love that they made 3 versions too.
Thermalsyphon seems interesting too. Will follow how that develops in years to come, could be a lovely add for SFF.
Steve from Gamers Nexus talking to Jakob Dellinger (also from Noctua) in the background.
Really looking forward to these new Noctua products 💯💪😎
Finally!! I've been waiting so many years for those fans!
I definitely want to see reviews of the new fans! Thumbs up.
4:03 gotta love those graphs that make a 10% difference look like double the performance lol
That is a monumental improvement in aerodynamic efficiency. It's more impressive than increasing CPU or GPU performance by 10%.
Holy shit its finally coming! I've been waiting for so long
Great vid. Love the thermosyphon concept cooler.
lol at Steve from gamers nexus in the background.
Just another year of waiting for the chromax 😂
but... but.... IT DOES EXIST!
I’m sure that wasn’t a cheap flight man, kudos to you to making it to computex for the coverage! I hope your channel flourishes
Is that Steve in the background at 3:35?
Looks like it. Lol
I see a halo , so yes .
Psyched about everything they are working on. Thermosiphon has my highest interest even though that is coming out years later. I am thinking of installing their new 140 mm fan on my case and their new 120 mm fans on my aio.
yeah im getting that power supply
Color me extremely interested. If this thing lives up the hype. It's an easy buy for me.
I find it a bit interesting that he didn't really have much to say about performance improvements of the fan. I can respect the committed attempt to improve fan lifespan, but i fear the community at large may be disappointed with this focus.
I don't think you understand noctua fans(boy). There's plenty of "better" preforming fans the reason why us fanboys sick with noctua is because of the noise it produces(even if it is technically louder in certain scenarios the type of hum is more pleasant to the ears). The other reason is cause I haven't had an issue with their fans even if it's a 15 year old fan close to the ending of its life. Had plenty of fans that'll start making noise after a year or 2.
I think you may have made a few critical typos that are preventing me from gathering the full meaning and intent of your post
@@blakes8901 here's a short version so you can comprehend it easier. Fanboys won't care as much as you think as long as they hold best dB to performance ratio
I see. You may have misunderstood me then. I was referring to the community at large when speaking about possible disappointment, and was saying that my opinion as a fan was that the focus on longevity was a good thing.
However, after reviewing some footage from other content creators, i am no longer worried about the opinion of the average consumer, because the improvements to performance are quite good, and were presumably just glossed over during this presentation on accident.
@@sander373 indeed. for me the damn pitch/noise is very important...
was that Beve Sturk in the booth in the background?
Yup that was tech jesus himself . Well spotted
Nice catch, definitely was.
Yup. Really wanted him to demo the FS1 desk fan as my hair, or more specifically the lack of it, won't do it justice.
@@MachinesMore Nice one 😆Love your content, sir.👍
No, he doesn't seem to be undercover if you can stop him that easily.
Has there been any increase in airflow pressure with the new fans over the old?
After all, most ppl use these fans either on a radiator or heatsink rather than just a case fan.
Please tell me you went to see the new Antec ITX case?!
To eliminate the undesirable minute high frequency PWM switching sound I could clearly hear in the still of the night, emanating from my desktop's EVGA 850 PQ power supply, I replaced its factory cooling fan with a Noctua NF-A14 PWM fan. Noctua publicly details their technology that keeps this potential noise source below the threshold of human hearing.
Make the anti vibration pad thinner noctua, if i dont torque the screws with the exact same torque the fan casing warps and causes a very bad vibration noise, A12x25
Love the a12 next gen charts...
the green bar is more than double as long as the blue but the difference is just 10% lol
Good to see Steve from GN in the background. Thank you Machines & More for covering Noctua before anyone else.
Does this beat the T30?
time to upgrade the 240 AIO to a 280
I'm just waiting to toss out my fractal aspect 140 fans and replace with the new 140 mm noctua fans. It's gonna be great.
Is that Steve Burke in the background at 3:00?
Can the Noctua NH-D15 G2 HBC support the 13900K? I am currently running dual 480mm radiator for the GPU and CPU. XD
Noctua just take my money $$$$
Q1 2025! yikes!
Chin hit the floor when i saw the notification for this vid
Will there be a black version? I still don’t understand, it seems to be on the stand
There will be, just later. The black one was to "prove it exists"...
@@MachinesMoreThank you for the answer. If you have the opportunity, ask the manufacturers if they make 30mm instead of 25mm coolers. Is Noctua planning to release the same 30mm?
I can't wait to pay for a single fan that costs more than a complete HSF setup. What a time to be alive.
I loved Noctua, but I no longer see any value in this brand cause I build everything with the absolute tremendous value Thermalright gives.
finally, more 40$ fans
Did noctua promise to make the new D15 uglier ?
its an acquired taste
bro, i think your camera angles are too low and closed up. you definitely need to work on your live feeds
Price is gonna be $140 for the D15 and $45 per fan, mark my words🙃
is 150, and 40 the fan...
@@benegesserit9838 I know they have great products, customer service and warranties, but man that is just way too expensive.
Bit disappointed that they changed the hub design to that swirly thing. I really liked the industrial look of the hub of the current (old) NF-A12x25.
And now if I want my 120mm fans to match the new 140mm ones I have to buy a whole new set of 120s.
But then my Noctua deskmat with the schematic view of the current NF-A12x25 would loose it's relevance to my PC. Argh! They make things so difficult!
I mean, the swirly hub actually serve a functional purpose so it's as industrial as it gets
@@MY-qi8wq My comments were from an aesthetic perspective.
IT'S ASININE & CONFUSING THAT THEY KEPT THE SAME NAME EVEN THOUGH THE FAN HAS BEEN TOTALLY REDESIGNED.
4:09 i don´t like this type of graphs - they´re misleading. 4 m3/h gain is actually quite lame and shouldn´t affect temperatures much. They´re not showing resulting temperatures, but also fan rpms!
5:03 such large dual tower with 2x120mm and with a promise of "performance of current D15"? Remember, how U12A was supposed to be as powerful, as "heatsink with 140mm fan"?
I am skeptical and will remain so until proven otherwise.
4 m3/h (10% increase) is enough to put it ahead of T30
U12A does perform better than U14S, it was never supposed to beat D15
@@MY-qi8wq 10% increase? Once again, Noctua does not specify which rpm the fans were running on - considering how they measure dBA ratings for all their fans, the fans could´ve blasted full rpm, in case of which 4 m3/h is NOTHING.
Even if fans were spinning at 1750 rpm (specific point, at which the fans hit 25dBa according to Cybenetics, the fans were already pushing about 76 m3/h. In this context, what is another 4m3/h? NOTHING.
For Noctua to get ahead of T30, it would have to go to 30mm thickness too.
U12A performs better than U14S, but only in very low heat loads. According to Anandtech review, U12A is only ahead in 60W. At 100W of heat, they will become equal, for U14S to go forward past it with heat load increasing.
@@Morpheus-pt3wq This will be fun because we can actually use HWCooling's data to estimate what RPM it's running at.
They use a 45 mm thick rad for "thicker radiator" tests, close enough to the 49 mm one. For this scenario, @33 dBA (at 15 cm) they measured 41.05 m3h and 40.54 m3h for A12x25 and T30, respectively. @36 dBA, it's 47.73 for both. For thinner rads, the numbers are 42.59/45.93 and 47.98/51.83. A12x25 is basically equal to the T30 in their thicker rad test so we'll ignore that for now; if we assume a 10% increase in airflow in thinner rads as well, the next gen A12 will very closely match, or even edge out, the T30 at this noise level. Plus, T30 is at its best at around this noise level too, it slowly gets caught up by A12x25 and Gentle Typhoon as target noise level increases.
Checking the speed data, we can estimate that Noctua's data should correspond to somewhere around 1000-1136 RPM (of the A12x25).
@@MY-qi8wq except Noctua likes to overestimate their dBA ratings. A12x25 is rated at 22,6 dBA, so considering that, they either cranked the fan over its rated 2000 rpm or started measuring dBA differently and "forgot" to update their existing fan specs.
If Noctua would be confident in this new product, they would not mind showing ALL data and not just some graph about new fan outperforming the old one, which was made by a marketing guy in a single afternoon. It´s also entirely possible, the new A12 will look differently.
At this point, we can only speculate, how will the new fan perform. I´m largely skeptical - and will remain so, until proven wrong. Data of some reviewers cannot be compared with manufacturer´s data - unless the reviewers use the same method of specs measurements, as the manufacturer. In case of Phanteks T30, the results seem to be fairly comparable with results of Cybenetics/HWbusters, simply due to both of them using the Long Win fan testing machine. And at the same time, Cybenetics results are sometimes questionable (if you look at their data about Be Quiet fans, you´ll notice quite large differences, despite fans being of the same propeller design and running at (almost) the same speed (sometimes the faster fan is even weaker - meanwhile, if you buy both the non-pro and pro version and compare them at home with the same fan adapters, they will look identical).
My greatest gripe with all manufacturers (and most reviewers) is the lack of sound samples. dBA rating will never tell anyone, what kind of noise the fan will make. A fan can have low dBA rating, but at the same time make terrible low-frequency buzz noise (Phanteks T30). Or, in case of Noctua A12, there is high-frequency oscillation, that makes them annoying to use near or at full speed. Noctua A14/A15 suffer from the same growling, as Arctic fans had for a very long time.
Btw. what Cybenetics considers "25 dBA", is already very loud for me. So i would never see even the speculated "4 m3/h" gain by getting new fans.
