[PK] The Forgotten Tengoku Games

- Please Keep in mind that I had to play these on an emulator with input lag due to recording it. That's not very easy to do without messing up a ton.

The Rhythm League is a collaboration channel between six Rhythm Heaven fans.
We'll be doing all sorts of Rhythm Heaven-based stuff, such as Let's Plays, mashups, etc.
We might play some other games as well, so keep a look out for that!
Also, keep in mind that our upload times may vary due to time zones and the sort.
Is it just me or does the Ds version of Rhythm Heaven have the most memorable mini games?
That is Fever for me.
DS is a torture.
To be fair, Tengoku never made it outside of Japan.
The only games I miss from tengoku is Rap Men and Toss Boys
GravityTheGhost This is something I agree with.
GravityTheGhost same bud
don't like bon odori?
Same, but also the Bon~Odori. It's so catchy and fun!
*+Bumberton's Delight* YES
I just got that tram and pauline joke
Tengoku was literally the hardest and most unforgiving Rhythm Heaven game.
Rhythm Heaven DS*
~RSE
johnreddead Built to scale 2 in rhythm tengoku is near impossible without extreme pratice, luck or save states
Miss 3 or more, and your out
***** NO
I missed 3 on built to scale 2 and got a try again, then I abused save states to win
Oh kay
ehh ??? how about the ds one
those 2 are fine for me (tengoku and fever) maybe it's because i used to use buttons instead of touch controls
My god. Is that Note with a Peridot costume on it? ITS SO CUTE
MAXIMUM CUTENESS.
~AK
We all have notes that match our avatars because Note is the main mascot of our channel. They are all adorable in their own way.
~ RSE
The Rhythm League yeah. I cannot wait to see a Pink Bob-omb Note!
+MusicalMatt I already have a Note design. But it's not pink. Hmm... ~AK
:3
I like how at 25:20 you almost ragequit
RIP All the games you showed in this video, it would be really high quality if they could make some DLC!
GRAND DAD I think that would be cool too, but imagine how difficult it would to localize the bon odori
@@coralbeau15 just translate + revamp visuals
i think magician and tram and pauline were forgotten for a very good reason
that's a funny way to spell Dondo Pan Pan and Hopping road.
Jdude330 those ones are actually fun(looking)
Good sir, here at the Rhythm League we love every game as much as the other. ~Brawlcats
+The Rhythm League come on, everybody has their favorites (Night walk) and least favorites (judging by your SiivaGunner thing that one time, bunny hop?). There are just some microgames that aren't as fun for everyone.
TL;DR opinions are a thing
Jdude330 agreed
to be honest my favorite's probably vegeta pull/rhythm tweezers
Of all the games they could have put in Megamix, they chose QUIZ SHOW. OVER BON ODORI. WHY?!?!
Bon odors is harder to translate
If the fans can do it, the head team can do better.
big bank It’s going to end up like Manzai Birds
@@GrounderSez Americas associate kimonos and festivals with Japan, it would be like Power Calligraphy.
Manzai would've just been confusing.
Oh, geez, I can tell that Marching Orders 2 would absolutely destroy me. If you screw up, the guy you control will stomp on the wrong feet and for some reason, that is the exact thing that makes me screw up.
I detect a discrepancy between audio and video.
To be honest, the only hard game for me from Tengoku is Built to Scale 2. Seriously, fuck that game.
Blaze Night NOOOOO
g00d job for perfecting bulit to scale 2 on an emulator
why are so many people angry at these games? seriously, at least moai doo wop isn't here
Nick Name moai doo wop isn't here? Thank god
Nick Name after playing Moai doo wop I never want to go to Easter island
moai doo wop is my favorite
is anyone with me??
Random stuff it's my dad's favorite!
Tram & Pauline definitely need to be on rhythm heaven megamix.
Aww the little peridot on the thumbnail
Why they didn't put The*Bon Odori, Toss Boys or Rap Men in Megamix? :(, At least Fireworks instead Trash Show
According to unused assets, Quiz Show was going to represent Tengoku as an endless game and gate trial.
*It's all good, isn't it?*
*OOF!*
Night Walk is in Megamix. You need to buy it with them Flow Ball things. Same with Bouncy Road. And Spaceball.
SportaDerp9000 The ones shown in the video are sequel games.
Dat Boi From The Wifi Zone Oh... CRAP
SportaDerp9000 It’s fine. WAY too many people have made that mistake.
I have no idea why they didn't localize Bon Odori. That song sounds badass!
In fact, the same could be said for the rest of Tengoku.
I cant believe these games didn’t make it into megamix but quiz show did
the switch game (if we get one) should be the forgotten games+ new ones (and karate joe, because every game has him)
I want Bon Odori,Toss Boys,Showtime,Rap Men and Tram and Pauline
Tengoku is the best game in the series. Had a fun time getting perfects on everything.
I’m really REALLY salty that Samurai Slice GBA didn’t make it into Megamix. The music for that game is SOOOO good!
Wow this would have been an awesome birthday gift seeing that it came out on my birthday!
Rap Women could totally be a Smash song.
I miss showtime... it was such a fun and silly game X3
Who else was Disappointed that Tram and Pauline, Fireworks, Toss Boys and Polyrhythm wasn’t in Megamix?
Night Walk 2 got SO close to getting in.
rip toss boys... +girl
I think I'm in love, no really I love this game
Fuck that stupid Quiz minigame, i want Toss Boys and Tram & Pauline
i feel like they should make a dlc of all these minigames AND make remix of these
I can understand these not making it:
Samurai Slice GBA: Too boring (Literally the same shit about 10 times), too redundant (they make you go trough all the demon jumping part when they are just gonna give you a cue 1 beat after you slice), and too weird game-wise (Tempo changes mid-game were never something good for the RH franchise)
Bon Odori: Dub hell. Also pretty weird (Going trough the whole lyrics part for something that's just *beat* *beat*)
Wizard's walts: Not as boring as other GBA games (although the visuals are very bland), but for some reason megamix doesn't like 3/4 (Seriously, count all 3/4 games there are)
Showtime: Probably one of the best candidates, but it's too short
Tram & Pauline: It's impossible to do without visual cues. It's also very simple
Built to Scale GBA: Too slow, too boring, and the music is just the same thing OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. It's remix appearances also break the rules of the game itself (Instead of being (cue)-(reapeat)-(repeat) it's (cue)-(repeat)
Rap men: Dub hell. A good candidate besides that, if you can get past the kinda bland soundtrack.
Toss boys: Probably the best candidate. It's fun, not too hard to dub, and a lot of variety with the toss arts. Probably didn't make it because of the sheer repetitiveness.
Fireworks: Boring, there's nothing to look at, repetitive and dear god that soundtrack is boring.
As for the sequels, everything but Rap Women and Bon Dance had no chance at making it to megamix because they don't have unique sountracks like almost all other sequel games from other series. On the other hand, Rap Women and Bon Dance are dub hell.
tram pauline do have sound cues
PolyRhythm unforgiving cause if you don’t hear the cheers after that mean you were late or early on a hit.
sameria slice did return
nickinoodle moofork they have the same names, but have different controls. For example, tengoku's samurai slice plays much differently than fever's samurai slice
Hopping Road actually Exists in Megamix
The one featured in this was Hopping Road 2.
+PKDeluxe Oh
10 games I want to see return from gba
Samurai slice
Poly-rhythm
Showtime(Penguin jump)
Bon odori
Tram-Pauline
Toss boys
Rap men
Fireworks
Bon dance
Marching orders 2
Finally found someone who likes Iai-Giri and Polyrhythms.
boi karate man did return
and vegeta pull returned too boi
also this part XD 23:00
DAB
vegetapull? where?
Rock Pikmin if you are meaning karate man 2 in Gba then no.
Karate Man 2 and Vegeta-Pull 2 did not return. Take that dab back.
The ending got me. xD
20:50 Night Walk is on Megamix o.o
Floppix Toon Night Walk 2 is shown in this video, which we didn't get. It's just Night Walk, but there are set beats that you don't jump on.
Oh, I see, thanks! ^^
I like to call it Rhythm Heaven Silver instead of Rhythm Tengoku.
GoldieParadise Only applies on the English Patch
Bon Odori
Pauline and Tram
Screw Quiz Show.
18:14 27:42 and 28:57
these games do return in megamix
those are the second versions of the games
If I had to choose 1 game to bring back from here,It would rap women.
30:26 To Be Continued At The End XD
Polyrhythm is really fun to me. Same with Bon Dance. Tengoku is one of the easiest ganes in the series in my opinion.
how were they forgotten?
night walk made it into Fever and rhythm tweezers made it into Megamix
The ones shown in the video are sequel games.
Le first samurai slice
I'm slightly confused... there's like 8 games in there that did show up in megamix, a bit different but still the same game
Don’t be. The ones you’re confused about are sequels to the original games. Usually, after 5/6/7 remixes in each game, the sequel games show up.
Pretty sure karate man was remastered
My opinion on all these forgotten games:
Samurai Slice GBA: I don't like it as much as the Wii version, but I still like it. Except when it gets fast. That part can go to hell.
The * Bon Odori: Eh. I'm kinda neutral on it.
Wizard's Waltz: It's ok, I guess. The timing's just a little strict.
Showtime: I really like this one, it should've been in Megamix.
Tram and Pauline: THIS ONE IS FUCKING BROKEN!!! It has unresponsive controls, and can really mindfuck you on an emulator.
Polyrhythm: One of my favorites, because it reminds me of Built to Scale Wii, which is another favorite.
Rap Men: I also like this one, and it should've been in Megamix.
Toss Boys: See Rap Men.
Fireworks: Eh. Not much of a fan of it.
Bon Dance: No. Just, no. This one can burn in hell.
Rap Women: The equally awesome sequel to Rap Men!
Karate Man 2: This one is kinda eh. The tempo changes are horrible though, and it brings back horrible memories of the Challenge Train *shudder*
Rhythm Tweezers 2: That part around the end is the ultimate perfect killer. I pity those who attempt it.
Ninja Reincarnate: I like the first one, but this one is just meh. But the five-in-a-row and 2 quick parts ruin it.
Night Walk 2: I love the first Night Walk, and I like this one also. I prefer the first one though.
Marching Orders 2: I don't really like this one all too much.
Bouncy Road 2: While I like the first one, this one has THE strictest OK requirements I've EVER seen! But still, this thankfully didn't get into Megamix.
Toss Boys 2: I like this one as much a the first one.
Polyrhythm 2: Don't even get me started.
Spaceball 2: Again, same problem with Karate Man 2, plus a strict OK requirement to top it off.
Sneaky Spirits 2: This is another one of the few sequel games I actually like.
Vegeta Pull Made It. But they are not the same. The one in mega mix Is no Curly Hairs. At
The 2nd they teach you. On the first Of GBA They Teach You Curly Hairs.
Space ball is in megamix
Wasn't Samurai Slice in Megamix?
those two were different....
Samurai Slice (Wii), not Samurai Slice (GBA)
They should've brought back a different game rather than Quiz Show
Quiz Show was, for some reason, easy for me to earn the skill star on
+Graybuck Sorry, I didn't read it all. Just do it, EXACTLY like the host.
+stanleybree 04 Oh crap, suddenly forgot simple tap existed. I don't use it often.
Get 90 Points or higher, by pressing the buttons to the rhythm of how the guy on the left did it.
i wanted don don pa pa thing to be one :/
The Bon-Odori?
Vex the Pichu
ye, srry i forgot the name :/
samurai slice is in megamix though
The Wii version, not the GBA version.
Gengar Guy Isn't it a new game (Super Samurai Slice)?
For some reason, whenever they made a game based on Japanese folclore/culture they screwed up badly.
Samurai Slice: The timing is fucked. Even if you do this game moderately well, you still get a Try Again. Still better than the sequels in Heaven DS, though.
The Bon Odories: Play this on a console, you might kinda like it, but on an emulator? good luck.
Bunny Hop (yes, look up what's based on): Keeping the beat is HARD. Like lockstep but instead of awkward transitions, awkward pauses. This one came back in Megamix and it's actually easier to like it because of the new use of the bottom screen.
TramPauline: Hard, boring, and with the most unresponsive controls ever. Also, bad music.
Power Calligraphy: Monotonous and boring.
Ninja Bodyguard: OH MY GOOOOOOD.
Fireworks: The worst offender. Not only it has a tricky timing, it's VERY BORING, dull and devoid of quirky characters. Launch Party is considered to be its spiritual successor, but at least it isn't boring. Watching someone play Fireworks is literally watching a fireworks show on a low-res screen with awful music and annoying voices from time to time.
Jav McCharzard You must have really had a hard time with this game. I was playing on an emulator and I had no problem with any of these. The only game I had issues with was Built to Scale 2. Fireworks is kinda boring, but it's pretty easy the second or third time.
Misery Mire Fireworks must die in a fire. And Bon Dance
Jav McCharzard I admit, I fucking hate Bon Dance.
Kevin Chung Fireworks still is the worst game in the series and I can make a whole essay on why.
i think the worst is quiz show does it even count as a rhythm game?
the bon odori is not forgotten it was on the rhythm heaven megamixedd dude
Rhythm Heaven Megamixed is a fan game.
why didn't you show the games without screwing up? it really throws me off
Nick Name description
ok look; he could've just found footage somebody already made. It would've been a lot less embarrassing
Oh really? There's some high quality recordings of these games. You just need to search a bit harder
VBA lagging? Your pc is a potato then omg
The lag was due to me using an homebrew application called "3DS Controller", which lets me use a 3DS to control my PC, at the cost of some input lag.
VBA always lags for me on this game
Dammit jojoke
karate man, vegeta pull, night walk, hopping road, space ball and sneaky spirits are in mega mix
The creator of this meant the sequels of the game, THAT DIDN'T MAKE IN MEGAMIX. Rhythm Tweezers "3" didn't get in Megamix.
