If the motor section of the exam is done correctly both the doctor and the patient are suppose to get red in the face, however sometimes only the doctor gets red.
Such a helpful video! I'm a nursing student doing online school work because of the pandemic (like everyone right now) but this made learning the neuro assessment so much clearer! Thanks!
I should add that it surprisingly weird to live with. Walking barefoot on gravel or stepping on a child's toy becomes difficult when your foot doesn't react in a manner to prevent pain/injury. I rarely walk in socks or bare feet, but rather have slippers and cheap loafers that I can wear around to prevent. The true lesson is, if you compete in a sport with risk of brain injuries (downhill mountain biking in my case) be sure to use properly fitting protective equipment to avoid experiences like mine. Not wearing my helmet once at age 12 not only nearly cost me my life, but left a lasting impact.
I came to find out what those things sandwich breath did was. There is a bit where he strokes rough metal across the guy's palm and asks him to look off into the distance. Then he focuses on his eyes. What is this test for? It came just after lower limb reflexes on the sandwich breath vid. If anyone knows the answer do let me know.
Thanks Jese! We really appreciate your and our many viewers support to reach this milestone. We hope to receive our commemorative plaque soon. Stay safe and keep watching!

I have the babinski touch due to brain injury as a teenager. Fractured my skull in multiple places and had blood clots removed from my brain.
