- The immersion of your slide into the CLP or cleaning solution only applies to the non-optic Shadow 2. If you have an optic, either remove the optic or only immerse up to the the rails or half way up the horizontal axis of the slide and prop it up so it doesn’t fall over. DO NOT immerse your optic. OBVIOUSLY. LOL.
I really appreciate your tips in these videos. I don’t have a CZ pistol, but I do have a Bostich staple gun which I’m thinking of servicing. I’ve been having mis-fire issues with it lately. And no, I’m not a troll. Keep ‘em coming!

I unfortunately have some bad news for you because recently the Trudeau Liberals had a frightening experience at one of their tax payer funded frat parties involving alcohol, marijuana and a Bostitch staple gun. To the best of my knowledge the actual event in question involved nudity, a Bostitch Staple gun and a sheet of plywood. The opposition and the CTPF found out and the Liberals were forced to create a diversion from this scandal and to ban either alcohol, marijuana or the Bostitch staple gun. Anyone with an ounce of sense knows that bans don’t work, but they needed a scapegoat and since the absence of marijuana or alcohol will make their retreats feel like they’re at a conservative convention….the RCMP will be collecting your staple gun shortly. It’s not registered is it?
@@CZFanGrrl No, not registered. Does it matter that I filed the serial number off? Based on what you’re saying, I probably should look into selling it.
Well, you might get more for your Bostitch on the black market with no serial number I think. Filing steel and doing a nice job, even with a Dremel is a job fit for no one, so if you’ve already done that and have done a nice job of it, it could be seen as value added. Is the frame metal or is it plastic? If it’s metal, you’ll want to polish all the scratches out following along with my video on polishing. Best of luck! @TheScottishAmerican Thank you! Just had my fifth MRI this morning. Already know it’s not going to be good news because of what my body is already telling me, my right side is a mess physically. I feel sad for my guns, I can hear them in the safe crying, lol. I can’t even give them a better home where they can get out into the fresh air because of the insane new property theft that the government is imposing. Argh!

@D E Yes! Completely. Or you can spray it into the gun, but submerging and agitating is best. I wish my Ultasonic cleaner was bigger because that would be even better. Don’t throw away the used Prolix, it can be filtered through a coffee filter.

@ D E The whole thing goes in and submerged. It takes a lot of ProLix, but like I said, you recycle the ProLix by filtering it. It won’t be bright blue anymore but that doesn’t matter. I haven’t found that it damages the grips, but you can take them off if you want. I found that washing my LOK grips with soap and a toothbrush usually makes the grips lighten in colour. Then you’re supposed to wipe them down with mineral oil to restore the colour. CLPs have a built in lubricant and the Prolix has a thin viscosity like water so it penetrates everywhere. Here’s a video I did not it. ua-cam.com/video/qET4pMmbmMk/v-deo.html i’ve since evolved to the soaking method because it’s more thorough and economical because I have a dedicated container with ProLix and can do other things while the gun soak. The compressed air removes any excess and leaves a nice thin film of lube on the whole surface. This is important if you live somewhere with high humidity and rusting is an issue.

@D E The immersion only applies to the slide of the nonoptic Shadow 2. If you have an optic you obviously don’t want to immerse it, because of the electronics of course. I put my slide (with the optic) into the soak, but only half way up the horizontal axis of the slide and prop it up so it doesn’t fall over. I should make sure I put that disclaimer in the video. @garrett plein So, I’ve never done an actual comparison between the Shadow 2, 85C, or SP-01 despite having worked on all of them ☹️, which is a bit of a bedshit on my part. I think the best people to ask are the folks at that first link www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/cz/auto-pistols-cz/75-series-cz/barrels-cz-75, there are subtle differences, but what I can remember from working on the 85C was that internally it was pretty close to the Shadow 2, ie. no decocker, no firing pin block, etc. My email is on my “About” page, love to see some pics when you’re done. @@CZFanGrrl that is true and they all are compatible in some form. I know 75s and 85s take the same barrels, trigger-shoes, mags depending on model. Could you do a video on compatibly of the models?
@garrett plein Wow, that would be a good one. I’d have to use schematics because I only own Shadow 2s and only see the other 75 variants or the 85C when someone brings me one to work on. Someone recently asked me to work on the CZ Tactical (with decocker) and I had to pass on it. I hate decockers and firing pin blocks.
