    Great commentary. I think this will be such a visually stunning ride. I really hope they invest into themeing it well. That's the only part of CP I think is really lacking, but the new additions are a lot better about it.
    I saw a video of a Vekoma rep talking about how the designed this new generation of tilt coasters to be very modular. They can insert the tilt element into any layout. Maybe Mexico will get one later if this ends up being a great success.

      That’s neat, so pretty much any sit-from Vekoma could be a tilt! Imagine if they made a tilting hyper coaster or something 😂

    I'm glad that this Vekoma tilt coaster went to Cedar Point instead of Energylandia. I'm not just saying that because Cedar Point is my homepark. Energylandia receives more investment than they know what to do with. They got a coaster like every other year for the last decade. Kinda feel bad for Six Flags México. Hopefully they get something else cool to compensate for their loss. I think this will look great next to Valravn, and its layout looks better than Valravn imo. I've always wanted to see more of these new gen Vekomas pop up in the U.S. and not just in Europe, and here we are with my homepark unexpectedly announcing one. And TT2 hasn't even really opened yet!!!

      Same boat here - It’s a bummer for those who have Energylandia as their main park, but SF Mexico got screwed so hard with this.
      That being said, I am curious to see what Energylandia’s future will look like in coming years, considering it seems like the government isn’t dumping crazy money into it like they were. Regardless, CP will be incredible to check out with both TT2 and Siren’s!

      @MidcourseDiscourse Energylandia is going to be three times the size of Cedar Point in the next 5 years at the rate their going.
      Also, something else that goes with how Siren's Curse was not designed for Cedar Point, and my biggest concern: Cedar Point is in the middle of Cleveland and Toledo. They get slammed. I don't know if Siren's Curse will be able to handle that. That's my only criticism. I think they've done everything they could've with the layout, I think the layout looks spot on. You have a great triple down, two whippy barrel rolls, low to the ground banked turns and pops of airtime. It looks like an RMC.

    Companies don’t truly merge, rather, one company is bought and taken over. You can refer to it as a merger, but ultimately, all Cedar Fair executives now run the Six Flags business. Now, imagine you take over a company, implement changes, and rearrange things, but then you are questioned about your decisions.

    Glad they're finally filling the empty space. I think the stage will be moved towards the boardwalk or main midway. The shows have made me crazy for years because they completely clog the midway. I'm excited for next season. TT2 will just quietly get running. I believe Cedar Point getting this ride is to distract from TT2 as well as Cedar Point being a flagship park and they've gotten prototypes or first time builds in the past. Cedar Point has had disastrous PR and interesting operations for the last 5-6 years. Initially I believed they had planned this for a while, 2-4 years I got told is an average planning timeline, but as the timeline and different opinions get out there the late planning and decision making lines up.

      Yeah, honestly next season should be fantastic if everything gets up and running correctly. I think the future is really looking bright for CP, they just have to get these rough couple of years behind them for good!

    Many modern Disney coasters are Vekoma…Guardians, Everest, Tron

    • @MidcourseDiscourse
      @MidcourseDiscourse  3 місяці тому

      @@haiderodes True! I should’ve mentioned that. Disney and Vekoma’s relationship is interesting, as they’ve basically been producing high quality rides the entire time, probably because Disney has the money for incredible amounts of R&D.
      Even globally, “new-gen” Vekoma has been slowly surfacing over the last couple of decades with new track design, train design, reliability, and smoothness. I think that in regard to more traditional amusement parks, Formula checked all the boxes, for what I assume was a competitively priced ride.

    I don't really see why cedar point went with siren's curse when they already got 3 coasters that have a vertical/beyond vertical drop, and this being somewhat close to valravn. Great video as always and can't wait to see more!

    • @MidcourseDiscourse
      @MidcourseDiscourse  3 місяці тому +2

      @@VelocityRides31 I’m mixed on it. Although I do think there’s a couple better fits for the park, there’s honestly not much CP DOESN’T have.
      It is weird having two coasters that hang you over a vertical drop right next to each other, but I think the rest of the layout is unique enough to stand out, especially compared to the positive-focused B&Ms like Valravn. All of that being said, I think this definitely would fit better at several other parks in the chain.
      Thanks for the support :)

      From a marketing standpoint, I understand your point. In terms of the actual sensation and visual spectacle on the midway of the tilt track, I think it will prove to be an entirely different beast. Word of mouth for this ride may actually prove to be more successful at drawing guests than the marketing campaign itself.

    Is Wild mouse not a standard Zamperla model?

    • @MidcourseDiscourse
      @MidcourseDiscourse  3 місяці тому +1

      Nope! It was the first of the Twister Freeform model from Zamperla, which is a custom take on their more traditional Twister layouts.
