You must sell the files for these mate. They are well designed, tested, functional and a service to the community. DMS should be super happy to have you on board, that was a very watchable and funny product spot. Folks wont skip through that like they do with a lot of VPN and other rubbish ads! Thanks heaps for the shoutout and for being in the first batch of discs! ... I suppose I best join up ;) On top of all that, the solution to the ducting will be a great timesaver and stress remover going forward. Well done.
Thanks mate! I think before I release files, I would like to do some testing and see if improvements are needed before I make them available, but I'm seriously considering it.
Oh man, I felt like such an idiot as soon as you showed the blast gate at the back of the tablesaw. As soon as I saw it I thought, "I bet he has an arm to open/close it from the front." Then I sat silently, realising that for 5 years I've been stooping down under my tablesaw wing to open and close my poorly placed decision. 🤦♂ Now, fire up that laser and get my name on a disc, I've been playing with the idea of opening up to members for a while, and lasering names on mdf was my plan there too! Definitely can't say no when I wanted to do it myself! 😄
Great Video and very well explained. I have the same dust extractor and just have it connected to my Sawstop table saw at the moment. Need to figure out how to set up the ducting around the workshop and get that organised like you have done and connect it to the other machines once I work out where they are all going.
Thnaks for sharing mate! With the potentail house move coming and me finally having a permanent space I will absorb a lot from this video and design my workshop dust collection. Really cool idea with the discs!
That is a great system. Maybe I missed it in the discussion of the magnets... You have the magnets in the interface collars in alternating polarity, don't you? N-S-N-S-N-S as you go around the interface, and that's why they always "just work". Great set up, and a great little shop!
Actually, (if I'm understanding the question correctly) I just made sure that magnets on the machine side are all in the opposite direction of the magnets on the collar. It never occurred to me to consider alternating arrangements (that's intriguing, and I guess on further thought makes total sense). Im going to have to experiment with that because that would mean it wouldn't matter the orientation of where you start (whether you start with N-S-N-S-N-S or S-N-S-N-S-N) it would still match up. Brilliant.
Please make plans available, I am in the process of setting up my new shop and I would like to use something like this for my dust collection. I would need 6" and 4" version I think though.
I'll be honest, I had no idea so many people would be interested in this! I'll look at putting something together to share the files I made for this. Stay tuned.

Ha, it's been the best thing for the shop this laser! Highly recommend firing it up! :) Thank you sir, of course, I'll get cracking on your disk. :)
Another in depth video on the important subject of dust extraction. You pretty much nailed it Anthony. Good job.

That was great!! I’m pumped to get mine sorted
Some great ideas! Now to work out which bits I can duplicate with a 3D printer 🤔….love the disk btw 😉
Great designs. Great products. Great install!
Hey mate, great work! Is there a possibility you may share the design of the blast gate?
Hit me up on email, and I can send you the laser files.
@@barberspaddockwoodworking I would like to, but I don’t have your email address.

Well thought out ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Did u ever upload your files to cut the parts?
Not yet, I think it needs some work before I make that available. Is it something people are interested in?
This is amazing, we should make a project out of it and do open source so we can innovate.
Link for supporting and getting a name on a disc?
