Absolutely useful info! I'm about to buy the 605 poly in 357 mag. I've been scouring the internet for info on the cylinder lockup. Yours is the only one I've come across that shows how to disassemble the cylinder and the locking detent at the front of the cylinder. Thank you!
Did your 605 poly screw come out?? Mine i get loose and keep turning and turning and never comes out, it gets tight fine and loose fine, just don't come out.
I love how your screw drivers look like mine! LOL Used for everything even opening paint cans! I passed on a polymer 605 for an 856 and a 692. 856 is .38 Spl and the 692 is a .357 Mag. It's the one where you push a button to remove the cylinder and it was supposed to come with another cylinder for 9mm but since I bought it used at a gun store, they didn't have the other cylinder. But I have plenty of 9mm guns. Didn't really need a revolver 9mm. Good video and very useful info. You'll be surprised how many thousands of people will use this video to learn how to do it. Hope they give you the likes this deserves! I did.
i have the taurus 605 poly, followed what you did, but with mine i loosen flat head screw, i get it loose and keeps turning and turning and does not come out, i tighten back up gets tight fine, then try to loosen gets loose but bolt won't come out, i thought was stuck sprayed wd 40 , just don't come out, not sure if 605 is different with that to the 85, anybody with the 605 have same issue??
@@demarcushudson6143 I use the tiny screwdriver a little flathead for eyeglasses and prying didn't work. Couldn't get underneath the bolt, today. I was looking through my toolbox and I found my little automotive magnet. I tried it and it pulled it out just a little bit and I used the needle nose plier to pull it out the rest and that's a strong magnet and it couldn't get it all the way out so I cleaned it, cleaned in there, put the bolt in and try to take it out. It's a little easier but still it doesn't just come out like yours. I guess it's too tight or something I'm not sure
@matts.4095 it has a lifetime warranty, so if you need to, you can send it in and have it seviced. If they consider it un serviceable, they might send you a new one. It happened to me, I got a brand new 856.
@@demarcushudson6143 I've had the gun 3 weeks and already put 500 rounds through it. It works really good. That minor flaw with the screw. Just a little bit more work to get out I can live with
just got the 605 and could not find out how to remove the cylinder, until now...........thank you sir for a great video...
Thank you!!!! I've been staring at mine for a year lol!

Try prying up on the screw with a flathead screwdriver or something while trying to loosen the screw.
