But with the new release of the Washr Pro from Bigboi, there is another commercial grade unit that you may be considering. In my custom-built small enclosed trailer, I've installed a 100-gallon tank to supply the 630TSS, RO/DI refill filter system, 8070 Lite III, Fortress 10-gallon air compressor (model 57328). Additionally, I have equipped the trailer with a 50-ft air reel, a 50-ft power reel, and a 50-ft reel with Uberflex hose. For organization, there's a toolbox containing all necessary smaller items.
    On the roof, I've installed solar panels to power an EcoFlow Delta 2 Max + Delta 2 Max Smart EB system, along with an EcoFlow generator fueled by a 5-pound propane tank.
    The Delta 2 Max essentially functions as a single 20-amp circuit, allowing me to power either the pressure washer, air compressor, or Mytee system individually. While it's rare for me to drain the battery completely, I've never had to utilize the generator except for testing purposes. With 3.8 kWh of usable power, I can run the pump continuously for approximately 2 hours or operate the Mytee system with heat for about 1 hour and 45 minutes solely on battery power. Moreover, I receive anywhere from 500-800whrs every hour from solar energy here in palm springs i go solo and i tow with my old scion xb I have brakes on the trailer and a fulll 7way setup with redarc on the fist gen xb

      This sounds amazing and like you’ve put a lot of thought into it. I’ve been wondering if an Ecoflow could power any of these pressure washers, so that’s good to know. Which panels are you running? Really cool to not have to be running a generator all the time which makes your setup seriously quiet.

    I went with the Bigboi Pro and it is working well. I purchased the hose reel and caddy along with the pressure washer unit. The hose reel and caddy are portable if you need that, but it also mounts on the wall simply and can be pulled off if required. I like the flexibility that the Bigboi unit provides. Thanks for the side by side review. I don't think you can go wrong with either unit.

    Can you recommend a pressure washer for home use (mostly for car washing) I was dead set on the Active 2.0 but there's so many reviews of people saying the TSS craps the bed and then it just keep running. That's why I'm in the market.. my current crappy washers stop system also failed and I find it really annoying to walk back and forth turning it on and off. I'm not professional level but I do like buying high end stuff and I don't mind spending money, but I'm not looking to spend more than 500 unless absolutely necessary. All I require is electric, 900 to 1200 psi, and most importantly high gpm.
    Whats my best bang for the buck?

    Jash I’m experiencing a problem with my bigboi pro washer. First problem is I can’t use an extension cord it will only work when plugged in directly. My extension cord is 12 gauge and new. Next problem is it trips its own breaker that’s on the end of its cord. It is only using 12.8 amps? Some times it just busses then trips its own circuit breaker not my breaker. What do you think?

      Hey yea i actually mentioned that in this video. The usual recommendation is atleast 2x the motors watt rating. This one is rated at 1800 so a 3600 continuous at minimum is recommended… the active 2.3 doesn’t turn on either with that generator…. For some reason my ar630 does work with that generator and that is also a 1800watt motor which doesn’t make any sense to me… because I’ve ran the ar I expected this and the active 2.3 to work but I guess it’s different with generators

    Can anybody smarter than me help me out? I have an AR 630tss and I have a Predator 3500. My entire build in my Honda Element is centered around that generator bc I thought it would be enough to power it. The first two times I used it, it worked flawlessly. Now every time I plug in the AR it trips and powers down. I bought a $99 Ryobi just to keep things moving but I'm getting sick of walking by the 630 in my garage every day. He mentioned powering down the output at the start of the video, does anybody know how to do this? The predator comes with a 30 amp rv adapter

    • @joes3689
      @joes3689 Місяць тому

      The Predator 3500 has a running wattage of 3,000 watts and a start up Or maximum wattage of 3,500 watts. The AR630tss does not give a specific start-up wattage that I can find but says it requires a 20amp circuit. So, a twenty amp circuit is rated at 2,400 watts. (20 amps x 120 volts) If you take the 2,400 watts and multiply times 2.0, which is a safe minimum multiplier, for these types of motors for start-up wattage. You would need a generator with a start-up or maximum wattage of 4,800 watts. To have a little more headroom I would see if you can return your Predator 3500 and exchange it for the 5000. The 5000 has a maximum wattage of 5,000 watts and a running wattage of 3,900 watts. On all motors it is the start-up wattage that makes it difficult to figure out the required size generator. I hope this helps.

      @@joes3689 Heres AR 630tss specs: needs true 20 amp and Watts 1800, voltage 120v-60Hz. all of which pred3500 should handle. after researching on reddit a little pred 3500 max sustained load is 25 amps continuous. but neither of the two standard 3 prong support a true 20 amp. yet the RV plugin is a 30A circuit. so I've heard of people using a converter cord to take advantage of the 30 amp plugin.

    • @joes3689
      @joes3689 Місяць тому

      @vermontmotorsports1275 The part of the puzzle you didn't mention is the start-up wattage on the motor. Another way to look at it is a house 20 amp circuit has a breaker protecting the circuit and it will allow a spike or start-up current that exceeds 20 amps by several times for a short period of time. So start-up current on a 20 amp motor works fine. A generator has a maximum wattage output. Again, the motor on the AR has a start-up wattage around 2 times it's running wattage. So 2,400 x2 = 4,800 watts. I do not believe the 3500 will produce enough wattage to start the motor on this AR unit. Once started, it would work fine. Even if you use the 1,800-watt rating and multiply it x 2, you still need 3,600 watts of start-up wattage. It might work in perfect conditions but I don't believe it will be reliable.

    11:55 Soooooo It would be a complete pain in the ass if you are a mobile detailer using 99% of all customers 15A electrical outlets when it keeps tripping the breakers. 🙄

    Is there a law that you can't use car soap when washing cars?

    • @imjoshv

      I was thinking of starting a small car washing business but the new laws in NJ stop that.

    Bigboi duo vs active 2.0

    Stay away from the Bigboi Pro. Been 3 weeks of nothing but headaches. They haven't owned up to it, and hiding from the truth. And Customer Service ... Non-existent. The problem even seen in recent Cars with Keav review. Buyer beware ...

      @imjoshv  29 днів тому +2

      I saw keavs video where his unit spiked in amperage. I have heard from one person that the unloader when they received the unit was set wrong. Their unit wouldn’t start because with it set all the way down it was pulling too many amps. He adjusted that and now it’s working. You may want to try that? That’s not great to hear about the customer service though… you can email me josh@detailgreenusa.com and let me know what the unit is doing. If I can figure it out I’d be happy to help

      @HeadShot1171 My washr pro is leaking first time using it and still waiting for a replacement. Customer service is non existent. Have you thought of just returning it? I'm very tempted to just eat the shipping cost both ways.

      @SilvergrovePictures We received defective products. Whether a design flaw, or whatever label they want to give it ... Their commercial grade equipment has issues. I have less than 30 minutes of use. That's a disgrace.
      You/we should get a full refund. It's not like you bought something and changed your mind. You spent your hard earned money, in good faith, and you were genuinely excited! But, there are some glaring issues that have not received a proper response. I have thought about returning it, and they offered the option of a replacement, or a refund. I opted for the latter of the 2 options, and now waiting to hear back.

    I don't see the point in these expensive pressure washers. $100 sunjoe works just fine. More expensive pressure washer won't make you a better detailer that's for sure.

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  Місяць тому +15

      Yea I talk about that in the video. However these higher performing units do speed up the rinse process significantly. I use them as a professional but yeah the basic units are great too

      @@imjoshvdo you have a vid comparing rinse times of the cheaper pressure washers vs these? I'll check it out. If not it might be a good future video idea

      Josh is right, the higher gpm makes a huge difference. I'm stuck using a low end unit for now, but I've tried better ones and the time savings is significant.
      If you're doing a quick wash on your own car, you can probably save 10 minutes unless you're the kind of guy that does a half-assed rinse to begin with.
      If you're a pro doing multiple cars a day a unit like this pays for itself relatively quickly.

      You’re right, for the average car owner. The littlest Ryobi for $100 will do perfectly fine too. The more expensive options are definitely marketed to the pros and prosumers with the budget for it
