I’ve made ribs this way several times since you posted this video. I think it’s safe to say this is now my go-to rib recipe. Always gotta adjust cook times depending on how much the rack weighs but as far as flavor goes…. I don’t think you can beat this method. I use McCormick Mesquite rub & McCormick Maple BBQ rub (Like how you suggested to use 1 sweet & 1 spicy rub in your other rib video).
Also good job on showing the cross section of what a perfect rib looks like. When it cuts clean but is still super juicy you know it’s perfect. That’s definitely what to strive for with ribs. Those are the type that will stay intact for nice presentation but still fall off the bone when bitten and melt in your mouth.
Keep it up man. You’re one of the best cooks on UA-cam and also a great teacher.

OMG, the BEST ribs ever! I wanted ribs for Chrismas dinner and knew the hubs would not fire up the grill as the weather was below zero. I searched until I found your video and followed your instructions. I was a bit hesitant of the brown sugar and honey as I do not like overpowering sweet meat or a lot of bbq sauce. I also sprinkled a little unseasoned meat tenderizer. Folks do not rush the process, it is well worth it. I paried it with a 7 layer salad and baked beans.

I cooked a total of 4.5 hours this time and the ribs weren’t fall off the bone soft. For them to be my preferred tendernessI I need to do a full 3 hours unwrapped, then a full 2 hours wrapped, and 15 minutes with the sauce. First time I did them they were perfect, second time a bit too dry, and this most recent time they were juicy, but also more like a pork chop tenderness. I tried it this afternoon. My dinner guest just left with her doggie bag in hand. The ribs turned out just as described. I used chicken stock as my liquid and a sweet and rich Memphis style sauce. I really didn't want to look like a pig 🐷, so now that she's gone, I'm going back for round two.

Making pork, baby back rib today with smothered collards and potato salad. Sometimes pasta salad and broccoli. Or baked beans with coleslaw. Looks delicious. I used dry run and refrigerated overnight. Thank you bless you 🎉.

Man, this recipe came in clutch for me over the christmas. My family was expecting me to cook some ribs for dinner (I never have until then), and your video got me by. Personally, i give my first attempt a solid C plus. They were seasoned and edible, but i can do better next time. Maybe by summer, i'll be ready to graduate to a grill.

Hi there. Jamaican here. Some of these aren't sold everywhere, and I live out of town. But made do with what I had yesterday.
*I didn't have mustard to bind. Didn't have the smoke sauce or smoked paprika (not sold where I am). So I went without.*
I had baby back ribs. I thought 2 hours to build the bark would have been fine. But I think I left it in there a bit too long for the first time.
Used margarine as the butter for the second time in the oven. That stayed in for an hour. (Think that was too long as well >.
