Amazed by how much that plant has changed since 1985 when I worked there! We made the Dodge Shadow and the Plymouth Sundance. They had only automated the paint line then. WAY more employees. We had at least 10 on the stick and move line where I put the stripes on the body. For a guy with no education or training these are the absolute best jobs you'll ever find. I hope the people working there appreciate that fact. I also worked at Ford Wixom MI. making the Lincoln Continental, Town Car, and the T-Bird. GO SHAP!
I find this so interesting seeing how my ram was made and the different phases it went through. love my ram 1500 night edition!!
God I love my 2019 Longhorn. Never in my life would I think I'd buy new but yet here I am and I did exactly that.
Ram the best truck until now. Greatness
Everytime I watch these videos...idk why...it's just so satisfying

I have a 2019 Laramie New Body style Ram and I am absolutely pleased with it. Great fit and finish. Very impressive truck. Good Job!
I have a 2019 Big Horn and I agree. The only issue I had was a leaking windshield and that was just because it was a replacement windshield that wasn’t sealed correctly after the first one got cracked. Water got into the floor boards but the FCA dealership did a great job of fixing the seal, drying out the interior and replacing all the damaged flooring.
TXnine7nine. I have 25000 on mine and it's been great except battery went bad. Dealer took care of it in a couple hrs with new battery. Very happy so far.
@@SnowDog080 While I haven’t had a battery issue yet I do have about 37,000 miles on it and it’s just a little over 2 years old (bought it in July 2018). Did a 4,500 mile trip from Virginia to Texas to Colorado and back to Virginia this summer hauling a trailer and it ran like a dream. The thing that still gets to me after all this time is the lack of cabin noise. And this was from someone who drove a Honda Civic before getting my truck.
2019 laramies here are 160K so I envy you americans and your cheap... everything.
I can’t get over how clean that plant is , it like it’s a laboratory.
I worked as a young adult in a non-union plastic molding factory across from this plant many years ago. We worked in an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, not to mention low pay. People were fired at will. I look at these people and wonder if they have any real appreciation and value of their jobs. They have it sooo easy.
in a few years there will be only 5 guys working that plant.... Machines killin jobs...
@@bobbobbinson1841 Maybe so, but people have to be responsible with how they respond to progress. In other words, be the person maintaining and repairing the machines, programming them etc. Be a step ahead of the game and make yourself irreplaceable and essential. Not necessarily a union mindset.
Great American truck made for the American people, cheers.
U know why its so satisfying?
Cause its Beautiful
Its an Engineeting Marvel

Black and Chrome looks amazing.
Amazing to watch!
I Love RAM❤❤❤❤❤
That robot at 3:52 is YUGE! It's insane how it can just loft a truck frame around like that and set it down probably on a millimeter accuracy.
My '05 sebring (2.4l i4, 4-speed auto) came from the sterling heights assembly plant and my '10 dakota (3.7l v6, 4-speed auto) Warren truck assembly plant. :)
I came out of my moms coochie assembly plant
I had a Plymouth Sundance, 1986 Chrysler Lebaron GTS Turbo,1998 Plymouth Breeze,2015 Chrysler 200, 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie. All built in Sterling Heights. All good vehicles.
My 2021 Bighorn Night Edition I ordered is being put together as we speak. Can't wait! 🍻
I own a 2020 Big Horn Night. Love it!
@Ghostmofo Another fanboy! ALL vehicles rust, stupid! Or just jealous you can't afford one? !
FCA junk
@@cesarurzua8234 Seriously, if you don't like the product just move on. I could care less about your opinion.
love my night edition!! best smoothest riding truck!!
Fact: Factories have permanent new car smell
Lol. NOPE
The first couple weeks and that’s it.
"new car smell" is mainly caused by out gassing of all the plastics in cars from wires to seats and dashes
Fact: No one can interpret comedy anymore.
You get to hate it after a while.
My 99 dodge ram 1500 was built in Warren Michigan. 21 years old and still kickin'
You got lucky 🙄
I have the 2019 Ram Limited and my friends always give me crap about why not bought a Chevy or Ford. I don't care what they say but if I'm going to spend over 50k on a truck then it better be something that I love and this truck is amazing. 2 years and it feels like I bought it a yesterday.
Good to hear.
RAM THE BEST
Can't wait to buy one of these in fifteen years when the price becomes reasonable
It won’t be running by then sorry buddy
My 97 still running strong.
.dodge ram bought it new runs like new. Had a 83 drove it 14 years no major issue's ram tough. Bought a 2009 van new no major issues. No rust on any dodge or ram to this date.
I just bought a Ram Longhorn 5.7L HEMI, it is a fully loaded 2018 Bighorn, got it used as lease return 20,000 miles. New $60,000, I got it for $28,800. It runs, drives and looks brand new. In my neighborhood there is a Ram every other house.
Can’t wait to never buy one of these when FCA goes bankrupt on March 18th, 2025
@@Anthony1337 what is significant about that day?
I just bought one of these 2021 Ram 1500s. I got the Laramie with sports package and it’s such an amazing truck. I love the olive green color
thank you, great video
More videos like this please
I will second that 👍🏼
Nice. Something about Cars, Trucks, SUVs being made is so Peaceful
I enjoy my 2017 RAM 1500 Hemi Crewcab 4x4...and my son has a 2018 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel Crewcab 4x4. 👍👍👍👍👍🤠🥇🇺🇸
And that kids is how trucks are made.
Called a Righteous Ass Machine!! My front plate on my 2017 Dodge Quad Laramie says this with the Hemi and Ram logo!!
My favourite pickup truck. I hope to get one soon.
Just bought 2018, do it!!!
Don’t its fiat junk
Amazing to watch, thanks for sharing
Super clean inside there. Must be a new factory
I'm a Ford guy but RAM is looking so much better. I drove a new RAM and it was way nicer than my 202 F150. I'm looking to trade in and get a RAM Limited.
That dark cherry 🍒 is the best color I think with a chrome package 🇺🇸
The color is called Delmonico, in case you were wondering.
This is the gold of the ani machine, well done to you, like it, thanks right away for the video, this is power
Nice
Sensacional! a caminhoneta mas linda de todas! uma dessas sera minha a diesel (Brasil).....

These people are doing gods work..
Lo máximo en tecnología mis respetos
Ima get a 2019 ram 1500 Rebel in about 20 years
Whoa beautiful truck
Thank you for this this is a really cool I always wondered how they put these together
I need this!!!
I bought a new 2021 Ram Classic quad v6 4x4, June 1st and have 9000 km on it now Oct 6. Very very happy with it so far. First truck I have owned. Really nice vehicle. Few little things I don't like. Horrible turning radius (although I was used to a two-door Wrangler) and when the back window is down (for the dog) you get a bad wind buffet and have to put another window down a couple of inches. Not the worst thing to put up with but annoying. Otherwise, can't find fault so far. No regrets on the purchase. Keep up the good work guys.
Fantastic
American muscles cars 💪😎 thats how we ROW
São muito lindas eu vou comprar uma em breve

Beautiful. Only wish is that I could own one just like this one. Hey it doesn't hurt to dream right.
Have a Built To Serve Edition in Tank scheduled for JAN/FEB sure wish I could get the RAM box system, luv them on my 17 Rebel.
I love Dodges cars & trucks! 🥰. Awesome video of americans at work 🤗
Good job 👍🤩 best of luck
I have been an owner of the ram 1500 for a while. Make sure you tighten down the screws on the 3rd brake light/ bed light. They leak if you don’t.
I love my little midsize toyota, but when I get older (I'm talking 50's) I want RAM all the way.
Класс! Мне нравится!👍💪
The term “Made In” nowadays actually means, “Assembled In”
yup
Still better than being assembled somewhere else
It's been like that for 100 years, that's why the sticker on the door says "assembled at...." not "made in". Also why vehicle assembly plants are called "assembly" plants. For example, Corvette engines are built in Canada, but the car is assembled in the US. Conversely, all Police Crown Vics, Impalas, and Chargers have been built in Canada, but the transmissions are built in the US. Vehicles assembled in Mexico, use engines and transmissions made at foundrys in Canada and the US. The only true statement would be to say it's made in North America,as the vast majority of parts are also built in N.A.
No it doesn’t

FCA: We’re too cheap to pay for a real sign so we went vinyl.
lol even their sign is falling apart
Yeah too cheap, that’s it. They invested over 2.5 billion back into Detroit to bring back jobs. First
new plant in 30 years.
Just look at those exhaust manifold bolts, just waiting to break.
Gosh they have a hard JOB

This makes me think of the terminator movies 😂
Now, figure out the way to make them affordable for people with less than 150k annual income!
The problem is that because of Fed policy allowing 2% inflation per year, it’s in effect a constant and persistent devaluation of the purchasing power of the dollar. It’s the only way they can pay for the debt, by slowly devaluing the dollar.
@kwg2005 You just can't find one, though.
@@davef.2811 you can order one
Buy it 2 years old. I got a 2018 Bighorn loaded, bought it used, was lease return at 20,000 miles. Was a $60k truck, I got it for $28,900. Runs, drives like new it's loaded and Yes she's got a HEMI. You can't tell this truck isn't brand-new.
@@davef.2811 The only manufacturer of the big 3 were you can actually walk on a lot and find a good F-150 that is prices good and has just the basics. I'm not the biggest fan of Ford, but if I was starting a business, I would go for a nice cheap F-150. Ram and Chevy all come pretty well loaded unless you order, but a lot of times for rebates, etc... They say from existing stock only and lose some good rebates, if you got the $ I would order every vehicle I buy.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
This kind of explains why vehicles cost so much. This is Rocket Science and then some!
It should make cars cost less because those robots don't get a salary or health insurance, but here we are in our over inflated economy.
If you only knew how many ppl it takes and thats minus the robots you have a stamping dept weld dept paint assembly and the fact that ppl who are topped out at these plants make at least 30$ an hr
Yes and No. Why are we still using the basic technology of the internal combustion engine and using fossil fuels?
@@topgeardel Because current electric cars just export the environmental impact to a different country. Mining Lithium is very destructive. I was surprised to learn that North America and Australia do the most Lithium mining.
Most expensive cars are built by hand. This doesn't explain the cost at all, robots have been used in car manufacturing since the 70's. Even cheapest car bodies today are welded by robots.
Glad they brought the manufacturing back to America ! Can’t wait to get an American made Cummins when they get rid of that cp4!!
well done for the video
Keep it mocinpp😊

I have a 2017 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. And even though since it's only 3-years old, it's going to Crown for oil spray for $149.95 before taxes. I'm in Canada. After hitting a male deer in my 2008 Silver Rado LS in 2019 I bought this truck. The silver Rado I bought had 44 k on it, never started rusting around upper back wheelie trim area 2'' inches above trim line, tell 12-years in, at 140,000. kms
🤙
😍Need one truck
Have you seen the pics of the 2022 Rebel GT.?? Seriously badass… I’ve got a 2018 F150 XLT and these trucks have got me thinking about trading it in…I had a 2008 Ram..brand new a long time ago and loved it… that hemi is an awesome engine…
سيارة راقية
My great grandfather would have a heart attack if he saw this video 😳
Why
@@MrInternFTLBecause there are Giant Robots building these trucks instead of humans..
@@bodivanbodivan3668 That's where most of the manufacturing jobs disappeared. Automakers made huge efficiency, safety, and quality gains by automating jobs that weren't the exactly the best jobs to have if you were a worker. Paint booths and welding jungle lines were shitty jobs that affected vehicle quality and weren't exactly the safest for workers. Robots fixed that.

Beautiful, heavy, comfortable trucks, tons of thoughtful features, and priced right, but I'll never ever buy another RAM again. the internet is full of RAM transmission failure complaints. Knowing that, I took care of my 2012 Laramie. I followed the maintenance schedule religiously and to the letter. Even with all that I started getting shifting problems right on schedule. i got rid of it and bought a Tundra. good luck to you.
I would love to work here!!!!
Производство просто огонь! Молодцы! Но почему рабочий персонал без спец одежды - для меня это страннно и необычно.
I don't know how they sell so many of these. Who can actually afford a new truck nowadays? ?

I am going to tell you something I am a strictly a ford man but those Dodge makes me Stare
So am I all ford and the 2021 f150 has everybody beat hands down
That’s how the auto plants are. Fire you at will. Always a replacement ready. They don’t care and don’t let them tell you they do. I work in it and see it everyday.
