I open my old laptop and after closing when I start it crashed with bluescreen fail and restart continuously. When I reinstall windows it work but after 1-2 starts it refails. Also safe mode is not starting.
You should tag to Microsoft, basic is still same. x86 is not the issue for windows, there is no such thing as pure risc and cisc in modern processors. The only reason apple choose arm instead of x86 is cause intel/amd wont give licenses. Reason why apple succeeded while windows failed is, apple silicon has tight integration of os, drivers , app software, and small number of hardware profiles to cover/test throughly. Meanwhile windows has sucky os , heavy reliance on third party drivers etc, too many hardware variants. They are trying to fix a non issue instead of getting the basics right

Snapdragon X series; Intel Lunar lake; Amd Ryzen AI series. All will come with top of the line power efficiency on both ARM & X86. Now if Microsoft just need to do these 2 things- 1) Devlope a new fresh version of windows just for generel purpose laptop & desktop users that has less backwards compatibility aka less bloatware for smoother experience like macos. 2) keep supporting the bloated version of windows that has generations of software compatibility with security updates and bug fixes. It would be one the hardest feat Microsoft has ever achieved, if they don't do it then google will most likely take over the general purpose windows users with a new desktop / laptop os that also runs on arm. Right now if google starts their work on it, they will be close to microsoft as microsoft is also barely started with arm.
