I feel like for me personally, Absolu Gold is what i expected Absolu and Profumo to smell like. Either way you slice it, this scent is a winner. It has such an arrogant gaudiness to it and i love it lol

And for what its worth Jeremy does know a lot about fragrances too, he just knows that, that knowledge is meh to his fans, like notes and compositions, because he's more about style than fragrance.

I dont get why people hate on say something like absolu vs absolu gold type of frags but are fine with edt edp parfum frags I mean bdc edt edp and parfum are all similar but the tweaks make them all different same with sauvage edt edp parfum

My first impressions: biggest difference for me is the Absolu has the suede and vanilla, which are prominent. There really isn't anything that pops in the Gold. Strangely, the gold smells like Home Depot. edit: you've got to compare them in the cold. In the cold, the fruits and florals of the Gold shine. But for the Absolu, the suede is too much. Gold wins in my book, for winter office & formal use.
I would like to try an Armani code that works for me. Code Absolu absolutely did not! It had a very off putting note that didn't agree with my skin i guess.

I am a huge fan of Code Ultimate and hate that it was discontinued. Of the three newer ones (Profumo, Absolu and Absolu Gold) which do you feel is closest to Ultimate to serve as the best follow-on?
@@Rendo87 Took the leap and ordered Absolu. Absolutely love it! Certainly not the same as Ultimate, but has enough common notes to make me feel the connection. The addition of an effervescent sodapop/root beer note is kind of addictive.

Ashton, I trust your opinion the most out of any fragrance reviewer and this is your channel and you do what you want but honestly from watching UA-cam videos for years I feel all your videos are way too long, I genuinely get put off watching the video at all. I feel your intros are way to long, you barely cut anything from the video and sometimes you repeat what you just said in a slightly different way. Hopefully this just comes across as constructive criticism.
To be a productive youtuber it's said you have to at least have 10 mins or higher video time so that your videos produce enough ad's to generate a solid amount of revenue.
Just for that I really hope he makes a video where he comes on, shows the fragrance bottle with the name across the screen, says, "My name is Ashton and I approve of this fragrance," and then the video ends LOL.
@@DarlingNikki2 I think if your taking about a single fragrance then 5-6minutes is sufficient, if it's a top 10 list video or multiple fragrance discussion rating etc then 10-15min is okay but videos with intros of more than 30 seconds is excessive, just my opinion.

I managed to pick mine up for £40 for a full bottle from ebay. Tbh I think its amazing and I’ve been getting compliments.
